Ayah 10:1
الٓر ۚ تِلْكَ ءَايَـٰتُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ
الٓر
alif-lam-ra
Alif Lam Ra
تِلْكَ
til'ka
These
ءَايَـٰتُ
āyātu
(are the) verses
ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ
l-kitābi
(of) the Book
ٱلْحَكِيمِ
l-ḥakīmi
the wise
Alif, Lām, Rā.1 These are the verses of the wise2 Book.

10:2
Ayah 10:2
أَكَانَ لِلنَّاسِ عَجَبًا أَنْ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ رَجُلٍ مِّنْهُمْ أَنْ أَنذِرِ ٱلنَّاسَ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَنَّ لَهُمْ قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ ۗ قَالَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَسَـٰحِرٌ مُّبِينٌ
أَكَانَ
akāna
Is it
لِلنَّاسِ
lilnnāsi
for the mankind
عَجَبًا
ʿajaban
a wonder
أَنْ
an
that
أَوْحَيْنَآ
awḥaynā
We revealed
إِلَىٰ
ilā
to
رَجُلٍ
rajulin
a man
مِّنْهُمْ
min'hum
from (among) them
أَنْ
an
that
أَنذِرِ
andhiri
Warn
ٱلنَّاسَ
l-nāsa
the mankind
وَبَشِّرِ
wabashiri
and give glad tidings
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
(to) those who
ءَامَنُوٓا۟
āmanū
believe
أَنَّ
anna
that
لَهُمْ
lahum
for them
قَدَمَ
qadama
(will be) a respectable position
صِدْقٍ
ṣid'qin
(will be) a respectable position
عِندَ
ʿinda
near
رَبِّهِمْ
rabbihim
their Lord
قَالَ
qāla
Said
ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ
l-kāfirūna
the disbelievers
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
هَـٰذَا
hādhā
this
لَسَـٰحِرٌ
lasāḥirun
(is) surely a magician
مُّبِينٌ
mubīnun
obvious
Have the people been amazed that We revealed [revelation] to a man from among them, [saying], "Warn mankind and give good tidings to those who believe that they will have a [firm] precedence of honor1 with their Lord"? [But] the disbelievers say, "Indeed, this is an obvious magician."

10:3
Ayah 10:3
إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ ۖ يُدَبِّرُ ٱلْأَمْرَ ۖ مَا مِن شَفِيعٍ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ إِذْنِهِۦ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ فَٱعْبُدُوهُ ۚ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
رَبَّكُمُ
rabbakumu
your Lord
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
(is) Allah
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
the One Who
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
created
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضَ
wal-arḍa
and the earth
فِى
in
سِتَّةِ
sittati
six
أَيَّامٍ
ayyāmin
periods
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
ٱسْتَوَىٰ
is'tawā
He established
عَلَى
ʿalā
on
ٱلْعَرْشِ
l-ʿarshi
the Throne
يُدَبِّرُ
yudabbiru
disposing
ٱلْأَمْرَ
l-amra
the affairs
مَا
Not
مِن
min
(is) any intercessor
شَفِيعٍ
shafīʿin
(is) any intercessor
إِلَّا
illā
except
مِنۢ
min
after
بَعْدِ
baʿdi
after
إِذْنِهِۦ
idh'nihi
His permission
ذَٰلِكُمُ
dhālikumu
That
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
(is) Allah
رَبُّكُمْ
rabbukum
your Lord
فَٱعْبُدُوهُ
fa-uʿ'budūhu
so worship Him
أَفَلَا
afalā
Then will not
تَذَكَّرُونَ
tadhakkarūna
you remember
Indeed, your Lord is Allāh, who created the heavens and the earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne,1 arranging the matter [of His creation]. There is no intercessor except after His permission. That is Allāh, your Lord, so worship Him. Then will you not remember?

10:4
Ayah 10:4
إِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًا ۖ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقًّا ۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ لِيَجْزِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ بِٱلْقِسْطِ ۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَهُمْ شَرَابٌ مِّنْ حَمِيمٍ وَعَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْفُرُونَ
إِلَيْهِ
ilayhi
To Him
مَرْجِعُكُمْ
marjiʿukum
(will be) your return
جَمِيعًا
jamīʿan
[all]
وَعْدَ
waʿda
Promise
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
حَقًّا
ḥaqqan
(is) true
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed, He
يَبْدَؤُا۟
yabda-u
originates
ٱلْخَلْقَ
l-khalqa
the creation
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
يُعِيدُهُۥ
yuʿīduhu
He repeats it
لِيَجْزِىَ
liyajziya
that He may reward
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
ءَامَنُوا۟
āmanū
believed
وَعَمِلُوا۟
waʿamilū
and did
ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ
l-ṣāliḥāti
the good deeds
بِٱلْقِسْطِ
bil-qis'ṭi
in justice
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhīna
But those who
كَفَرُوا۟
kafarū
disbelieved
لَهُمْ
lahum
for them
شَرَابٌ
sharābun
(will be) a drink
مِّنْ
min
of
حَمِيمٍ
ḥamīmin
boiling fluids
وَعَذَابٌ
waʿadhābun
and a punishment
أَلِيمٌۢ
alīmun
painful
بِمَا
bimā
because
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they used (to)
يَكْفُرُونَ
yakfurūna
disbelieve
To Him is your return all together. [It is] the promise of Allāh [which is] truth. Indeed, He begins the [process of] creation and then repeats it that He may reward those who have believed and done righteous deeds, in justice. But those who disbelieved will have a drink of scalding water and a painful punishment for what they used to deny.

10:5
Ayah 10:5
هُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ ٱلشَّمْسَ ضِيَآءً وَٱلْقَمَرَ نُورًا وَقَدَّرَهُۥ مَنَازِلَ لِتَعْلَمُوا۟ عَدَدَ ٱلسِّنِينَ وَٱلْحِسَابَ ۚ مَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ ذَٰلِكَ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ يُفَصِّلُ ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ
هُوَ
huwa
He
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
(is) the One Who
جَعَلَ
jaʿala
made
ٱلشَّمْسَ
l-shamsa
the sun
ضِيَآءً
ḍiyāan
a shining light
وَٱلْقَمَرَ
wal-qamara
and the moon
نُورًا
nūran
a reflected light
وَقَدَّرَهُۥ
waqaddarahu
and determined for it
مَنَازِلَ
manāzila
phases
لِتَعْلَمُوا۟
litaʿlamū
that you may know
عَدَدَ
ʿadada
(the) number
ٱلسِّنِينَ
l-sinīna
(of) the years
وَٱلْحِسَابَ
wal-ḥisāba
and the count (of time)
مَا
Not
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
created
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
that
إِلَّا
illā
except
بِٱلْحَقِّ
bil-ḥaqi
in truth
يُفَصِّلُ
yufaṣṣilu
He explains
ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ
l-āyāti
the Signs
لِقَوْمٍ
liqawmin
for a people
يَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūna
(who) know
It is He who made the sun a shining light and the moon a derived light and determined for it phases - that you may know the number of years and account [of time]. Allāh has not created this except in truth. He details the signs for a people who know.

10:6
Ayah 10:6
إِنَّ فِى ٱخْتِلَـٰفِ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَّقُونَ
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
فِى
in
ٱخْتِلَـٰفِ
ikh'tilāfi
(the) alternation
ٱلَّيْلِ
al-layli
(of) the night
وَٱلنَّهَارِ
wal-nahāri
and the day
وَمَا
wamā
and what
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
(has been) created
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
(by) Allah
فِى
in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
wal-arḍi
and the earth
لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ
laāyātin
(are) Signs
لِّقَوْمٍ
liqawmin
for a people
يَتَّقُونَ
yattaqūna
who are God conscious
Indeed, in the alternation of the night and the day and [in] what Allāh has created in the heavens and the earth are signs for a people who fear Allāh.

10:7
Ayah 10:7
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا وَرَضُوا۟ بِٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱطْمَأَنُّوا۟ بِهَا وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنْ ءَايَـٰتِنَا غَـٰفِلُونَ
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
لَا
(do) not
يَرْجُونَ
yarjūna
expect
لِقَآءَنَا
liqāanā
the meeting with Us
وَرَضُوا۟
waraḍū
and are pleased
بِٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
bil-ḥayati
with the life
ٱلدُّنْيَا
l-dun'yā
(of) the world
وَٱطْمَأَنُّوا۟
wa-iṭ'ma-annū
and feel satisfied
بِهَا
bihā
with it
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhīna
and those
هُمْ
hum
they
عَنْ
ʿan
(are) of
ءَايَـٰتِنَا
āyātinā
Our Signs
غَـٰفِلُونَ
ghāfilūna
heedless
Indeed, those who do not expect the meeting with Us and are satisfied with the life of this world and feel secure therein and those who are heedless of Our signs -

10:8
Ayah 10:8
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ مَأْوَىٰهُمُ ٱلنَّارُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ
ulāika
Those
مَأْوَىٰهُمُ
mawāhumu
their abode
ٱلنَّارُ
l-nāru
(will be) the Fire
بِمَا
bimā
for what
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they used (to)
يَكْسِبُونَ
yaksibūna
earn
For those their refuge will be the Fire because of what they used to earn.

10:9
Ayah 10:9
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ يَهْدِيهِمْ رَبُّهُم بِإِيمَـٰنِهِمْ ۖ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهِمُ ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ فِى جَنَّـٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
ءَامَنُوا۟
āmanū
believed
وَعَمِلُوا۟
waʿamilū
and did
ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ
l-ṣāliḥāti
good deeds
يَهْدِيهِمْ
yahdīhim
(will) guide them
رَبُّهُم
rabbuhum
their Lord
بِإِيمَـٰنِهِمْ
biīmānihim
by their faith
تَجْرِى
tajrī
Will flow
مِن
min
from
تَحْتِهِمُ
taḥtihimu
underneath them
ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ
l-anhāru
the rivers
فِى
in
جَنَّـٰتِ
jannāti
Gardens
ٱلنَّعِيمِ
l-naʿīmi
(of) Delight
Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - their Lord will guide them because of their faith. Beneath them rivers will flow in the Gardens of Pleasure.

10:10
Ayah 10:10
دَعْوَىٰهُمْ فِيهَا سُبْحَـٰنَكَ ٱللَّهُمَّ وَتَحِيَّتُهُمْ فِيهَا سَلَـٰمٌ ۚ وَءَاخِرُ دَعْوَىٰهُمْ أَنِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
دَعْوَىٰهُمْ
daʿwāhum
Their prayer
فِيهَا
fīhā
therein
سُبْحَـٰنَكَ
sub'ḥānaka
(will be), "Glory be to You
ٱللَّهُمَّ
l-lahuma
O Allah
وَتَحِيَّتُهُمْ
wataḥiyyatuhum
And their greeting
فِيهَا
fīhā
therein (will be)
سَلَـٰمٌ
salāmun
Peace
وَءَاخِرُ
waākhiru
And the last
دَعْوَىٰهُمْ
daʿwāhum
(of) their call
أَنِ
ani
(will be) [that]
ٱلْحَمْدُ
l-ḥamdu
All the Praise be
لِلَّهِ
lillahi
to Allah
رَبِّ
rabbi
Lord
ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīna
(of) the worlds
Their call therein will be, "Exalted are You, O Allāh," and their greeting therein will be, "Peace." And the last of their call will be, "Praise to Allāh, Lord of the worlds!"

10:11
Ayah 10:11
۞ وَلَوْ يُعَجِّلُ ٱللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ ٱلشَّرَّ ٱسْتِعْجَالَهُم بِٱلْخَيْرِ لَقُضِىَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَجَلُهُمْ ۖ فَنَذَرُ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا فِى طُغْيَـٰنِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ
وَلَوْ
walaw
And if
يُعَجِّلُ
yuʿajjilu
hastens
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
(by) Allah
لِلنَّاسِ
lilnnāsi
for the mankind
ٱلشَّرَّ
l-shara
the evil
ٱسْتِعْجَالَهُم
is'tiʿ'jālahum
(as) He hastens for them
بِٱلْخَيْرِ
bil-khayri
the good
لَقُضِىَ
laquḍiya
surely, would have been decreed
إِلَيْهِمْ
ilayhim
for them
أَجَلُهُمْ
ajaluhum
their term
فَنَذَرُ
fanadharu
But We leave
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
لَا
(do) not
يَرْجُونَ
yarjūna
expect
لِقَآءَنَا
liqāanā
the meeting with Us
فِى
in
طُغْيَـٰنِهِمْ
ṭugh'yānihim
their transgression
يَعْمَهُونَ
yaʿmahūna
wandering blindly
And if Allāh was to hasten for the people the evil [they invoke]1 as He hastens for them the good, their term would have been ended for them.2 But We leave the ones who do not expect the meeting with Us, in their transgression, wandering blindly.

10:12
Ayah 10:12
وَإِذَا مَسَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ ٱلضُّرُّ دَعَانَا لِجَنۢبِهِۦٓ أَوْ قَاعِدًا أَوْ قَآئِمًا فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُ ضُرَّهُۥ مَرَّ كَأَن لَّمْ يَدْعُنَآ إِلَىٰ ضُرٍّ مَّسَّهُۥ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
وَإِذَا
wa-idhā
And when
مَسَّ
massa
touches
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ
l-insāna
the man
ٱلضُّرُّ
l-ḍuru
the affliction
دَعَانَا
daʿānā
he calls Us
لِجَنۢبِهِۦٓ
lijanbihi
(lying) on his side
أَوْ
aw
or
قَاعِدًا
qāʿidan
sitting
أَوْ
aw
or
قَآئِمًا
qāiman
standing
فَلَمَّا
falammā
But when
كَشَفْنَا
kashafnā
We remove
عَنْهُ
ʿanhu
from him
ضُرَّهُۥ
ḍurrahu
his affliction
مَرَّ
marra
he passes on
كَأَن
ka-an
as if he
لَّمْ
lam
(had) not
يَدْعُنَآ
yadʿunā
called Us
إِلَىٰ
ilā
for
ضُرٍّ
ḍurrin
(the) affliction
مَّسَّهُۥ
massahu
(that) touched him
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhālika
Thus
زُيِّنَ
zuyyina
(it) is made fair seeming
لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ
lil'mus'rifīna
to the extravagant
مَا
what
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they used (to)
يَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūna
do
And when affliction touches man, he calls upon Us, whether lying on his side or sitting or standing; but when We remove from him his affliction, he continues [in disobedience] as if he had never called upon Us to [remove] an affliction that touched him. Thus is made pleasing to the transgressors that which they have been doing.

10:13
Ayah 10:13
وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا ٱلْقُرُونَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَمَّا ظَلَمُوا۟ ۙ وَجَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ لِيُؤْمِنُوا۟ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
وَلَقَدْ
walaqad
And verily
أَهْلَكْنَا
ahlaknā
We destroyed
ٱلْقُرُونَ
l-qurūna
the generations
مِن
min
before you
قَبْلِكُمْ
qablikum
before you
لَمَّا
lammā
when
ظَلَمُوا۟
ẓalamū
they wronged
وَجَآءَتْهُمْ
wajāathum
and came to them
رُسُلُهُم
rusuluhum
their Messengers
بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ
bil-bayināti
with clear proofs
وَمَا
wamā
but not
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they were
لِيُؤْمِنُوا۟
liyu'minū
to believe
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhālika
Thus
نَجْزِى
najzī
We recompense
ٱلْقَوْمَ
l-qawma
the people
ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
l-muj'rimīna
(who are) criminals
And We had already destroyed generations before you when they wronged, and their messengers had come to them with clear proofs, but they were not to believe. Thus do We recompense the criminal people.

10:14
Ayah 10:14
ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَـٰكُمْ خَلَـٰٓئِفَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ لِنَنظُرَ كَيْفَ تَعْمَلُونَ
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
جَعَلْنَـٰكُمْ
jaʿalnākum
We made you
خَلَـٰٓئِفَ
khalāifa
successors
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the earth
مِنۢ
min
after them
بَعْدِهِمْ
baʿdihim
after them
لِنَنظُرَ
linanẓura
so that We may see
كَيْفَ
kayfa
how
تَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūna
you do
Then We made you successors in the land after them so that We may observe how you will do.

10:15
Ayah 10:15
وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَاتُنَا بَيِّنَـٰتٍ ۙ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا ٱئْتِ بِقُرْءَانٍ غَيْرِ هَـٰذَآ أَوْ بَدِّلْهُ ۚ قُلْ مَا يَكُونُ لِىٓ أَنْ أُبَدِّلَهُۥ مِن تِلْقَآئِ نَفْسِىٓ ۖ إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ ۖ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ إِنْ عَصَيْتُ رَبِّى عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
وَإِذَا
wa-idhā
And when
تُتْلَىٰ
tut'lā
are recited
عَلَيْهِمْ
ʿalayhim
to them
ءَايَاتُنَا
āyātunā
Our Verses
بَيِّنَـٰتٍ
bayyinātin
(as) clear proofs
قَالَ
qāla
said
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
لَا
(do) not
يَرْجُونَ
yarjūna
hope
لِقَآءَنَا
liqāanā
(for the) meeting (with) Us
ٱئْتِ
i'ti
Bring us
بِقُرْءَانٍ
biqur'ānin
a Quran
غَيْرِ
ghayri
other (than)
هَـٰذَآ
hādhā
this
أَوْ
aw
or
بَدِّلْهُ
baddil'hu
change it
قُلْ
qul
Say
مَا
Not
يَكُونُ
yakūnu
(it) is
لِىٓ
for me
أَنْ
an
that
أُبَدِّلَهُۥ
ubaddilahu
I change it
مِن
min
of
تِلْقَآئِ
til'qāi
my own accord
نَفْسِىٓ
nafsī
my own accord
إِنْ
in
Not
أَتَّبِعُ
attabiʿu
I follow
إِلَّا
illā
except
مَا
what
يُوحَىٰٓ
yūḥā
is revealed
إِلَىَّ
ilayya
to me
إِنِّىٓ
innī
Indeed, I
أَخَافُ
akhāfu
[I] fear
إِنْ
in
if
عَصَيْتُ
ʿaṣaytu
I were to disobey
رَبِّى
rabbī
my Lord
عَذَابَ
ʿadhāba
(the) punishment
يَوْمٍ
yawmin
(of) a Day
عَظِيمٍ
ʿaẓīmin
Great
And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, those who do not expect the meeting with Us say, "Bring us a Qur’ān other than this or change it." Say, [O Muḥammad], "It is not for me to change it on my own accord. I only follow what is revealed to me. Indeed I fear, if I should disobey my Lord, the punishment of a tremendous Day."

10:16
Ayah 10:16
قُل لَّوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مَا تَلَوْتُهُۥ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَآ أَدْرَىٰكُم بِهِۦ ۖ فَقَدْ لَبِثْتُ فِيكُمْ عُمُرًا مِّن قَبْلِهِۦٓ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
قُل
qul
Say
لَّوْ
law
If
شَآءَ
shāa
(had) willed
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah
مَا
not
تَلَوْتُهُۥ
talawtuhu
I (would) have recited it
عَلَيْكُمْ
ʿalaykum
to you
وَلَآ
walā
and not
أَدْرَىٰكُم
adrākum
He (would) have made it known to you
بِهِۦ
bihi
He (would) have made it known to you
فَقَدْ
faqad
Verily
لَبِثْتُ
labith'tu
I have stayed
فِيكُمْ
fīkum
among you
عُمُرًا
ʿumuran
a lifetime
مِّن
min
before it
قَبْلِهِۦٓ
qablihi
before it
أَفَلَا
afalā
Then will not
تَعْقِلُونَ
taʿqilūna
you use reason
Say, "If Allāh had willed, I would not have recited it to you, nor would He have made it known to you, for I had remained among you a lifetime before it.1 Then will you not reason?"

10:17
Ayah 10:17
فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِـَٔايَـٰتِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
فَمَنْ
faman
So who
أَظْلَمُ
aẓlamu
(is) more wrong
مِمَّنِ
mimmani
than he who
ٱفْتَرَىٰ
if'tarā
invents
عَلَى
ʿalā
against
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
كَذِبًا
kadhiban
a lie
أَوْ
aw
or
كَذَّبَ
kadhaba
denies
بِـَٔايَـٰتِهِۦٓ
biāyātihi
His Signs
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed
لَا
not
يُفْلِحُ
yuf'liḥu
will succeed
ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
l-muj'rimūna
the criminals
So who is more unjust than he who invents a lie about Allāh or denies His signs? Indeed, the criminals will not succeed.

10:18
Ayah 10:18
وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنفَعُهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ شُفَعَـٰٓؤُنَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ قُلْ أَتُنَبِّـُٔونَ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا لَا يَعْلَمُ فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَلَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَـٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
وَيَعْبُدُونَ
wayaʿbudūna
And they worship
مِن
min
from
دُونِ
dūni
other than
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
مَا
that (which)
لَا
(does) not
يَضُرُّهُمْ
yaḍurruhum
harm them
وَلَا
walā
and not
يَنفَعُهُمْ
yanfaʿuhum
benefit them
وَيَقُولُونَ
wayaqūlūna
and they say
هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ
hāulāi
These
شُفَعَـٰٓؤُنَا
shufaʿāunā
(are) our intercessors
عِندَ
ʿinda
with
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
قُلْ
qul
Say
أَتُنَبِّـُٔونَ
atunabbiūna
Do you inform
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
بِمَا
bimā
of what
لَا
not
يَعْلَمُ
yaʿlamu
he knows
فِى
in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَلَا
walā
and not
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the earth
سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ
sub'ḥānahu
Glorified is He
وَتَعَـٰلَىٰ
wataʿālā
and Exalted
عَمَّا
ʿammā
above what
يُشْرِكُونَ
yush'rikūna
they associate (with Him)
And they worship other than Allāh that which neither harms them nor benefits them, and they say, "These are our intercessors with Allāh." Say, "Do you inform Allāh of something He does not know in the heavens or on the earth?" Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him.

10:19
Ayah 10:19
وَمَا كَانَ ٱلنَّاسُ إِلَّآ أُمَّةً وَٰحِدَةً فَٱخْتَلَفُوا۟ ۚ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَقُضِىَ بَيْنَهُمْ فِيمَا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ
وَمَا
wamā
And not
كَانَ
kāna
was
ٱلنَّاسُ
l-nāsu
the mankind
إِلَّآ
illā
but
أُمَّةً
ummatan
a community
وَٰحِدَةً
wāḥidatan
one
فَٱخْتَلَفُوا۟
fa-ikh'talafū
then they differed
وَلَوْلَا
walawlā
And had (it) not been
كَلِمَةٌ
kalimatun
a word
سَبَقَتْ
sabaqat
(that) preceded
مِن
min
from
رَّبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
لَقُضِىَ
laquḍiya
surely, it (would) have been judged
بَيْنَهُمْ
baynahum
between them
فِيمَا
fīmā
concerning what
فِيهِ
fīhi
[therein]
يَخْتَلِفُونَ
yakhtalifūna
they differ
And mankind was not but one community [united in religion], but [then] they differed. And if not for a word1 that preceded from your Lord, it would have been judged between them [immediately] concerning that over which they differ.

10:20
Ayah 10:20
وَيَقُولُونَ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ ۖ فَقُلْ إِنَّمَا ٱلْغَيْبُ لِلَّهِ فَٱنتَظِرُوٓا۟ إِنِّى مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْمُنتَظِرِينَ
وَيَقُولُونَ
wayaqūlūna
And they say
لَوْلَآ
lawlā
Why not
أُنزِلَ
unzila
is sent down
عَلَيْهِ
ʿalayhi
to him
ءَايَةٌ
āyatun
a Sign
مِّن
min
from
رَّبِّهِۦ
rabbihi
his Lord
فَقُلْ
faqul
So say
إِنَّمَا
innamā
Only
ٱلْغَيْبُ
l-ghaybu
the unseen
لِلَّهِ
lillahi
(is) for Allah
فَٱنتَظِرُوٓا۟
fa-intaẓirū
so wait
إِنِّى
innī
indeed, I am
مَعَكُم
maʿakum
with you
مِّنَ
mina
among
ٱلْمُنتَظِرِينَ
l-muntaẓirīna
the ones who wait
And they say, "Why is a sign not sent down to him from his Lord?" So say, "The unseen is only for Allāh [to administer], so wait; indeed, I am with you among those who wait."

10:21
Ayah 10:21
وَإِذَآ أَذَقْنَا ٱلنَّاسَ رَحْمَةً مِّنۢ بَعْدِ ضَرَّآءَ مَسَّتْهُمْ إِذَا لَهُم مَّكْرٌ فِىٓ ءَايَاتِنَا ۚ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ أَسْرَعُ مَكْرًا ۚ إِنَّ رُسُلَنَا يَكْتُبُونَ مَا تَمْكُرُونَ
وَإِذَآ
wa-idhā
And when
أَذَقْنَا
adhaqnā
We let [the] mankind taste
ٱلنَّاسَ
l-nāsa
We let [the] mankind taste
رَحْمَةً
raḥmatan
mercy
مِّنۢ
min
after
بَعْدِ
baʿdi
after
ضَرَّآءَ
ḍarrāa
adversity
مَسَّتْهُمْ
massathum
has touched them
إِذَا
idhā
behold
لَهُم
lahum
They have
مَّكْرٌ
makrun
a plot
فِىٓ
against
ءَايَاتِنَا
āyātinā
Our Verses
قُلِ
quli
Say
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah
أَسْرَعُ
asraʿu
(is) more swift
مَكْرًا
makran
(in) planning
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
رُسُلَنَا
rusulanā
Our Messengers
يَكْتُبُونَ
yaktubūna
write down
مَا
what
تَمْكُرُونَ
tamkurūna
you plot
And when We give the people a taste of mercy after adversity has touched them, at once they conspire against Our verses. Say, "Allāh is swifter in strategy." Indeed, Our messengers [i.e., angels] record that which you conspire.

10:22
Ayah 10:22
هُوَ ٱلَّذِى يُسَيِّرُكُمْ فِى ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ ۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا كُنتُمْ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ وَجَرَيْنَ بِهِم بِرِيحٍ طَيِّبَةٍ وَفَرِحُوا۟ بِهَا جَآءَتْهَا رِيحٌ عَاصِفٌ وَجَآءَهُمُ ٱلْمَوْجُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٍ وَظَنُّوٓا۟ أَنَّهُمْ أُحِيطَ بِهِمْ ۙ دَعَوُا۟ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ لَئِنْ أَنجَيْتَنَا مِنْ هَـٰذِهِۦ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلشَّـٰكِرِينَ
هُوَ
huwa
He
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
(is) the One Who
يُسَيِّرُكُمْ
yusayyirukum
enables you to travel
فِى
in
ٱلْبَرِّ
l-bari
the land
وَٱلْبَحْرِ
wal-baḥri
and the sea
حَتَّىٰٓ
ḥattā
until
إِذَا
idhā
when
كُنتُمْ
kuntum
you are
فِى
in
ٱلْفُلْكِ
l-ful'ki
the ships
وَجَرَيْنَ
wajarayna
and they sail
بِهِم
bihim
with them
بِرِيحٍ
birīḥin
with a wind
طَيِّبَةٍ
ṭayyibatin
good
وَفَرِحُوا۟
wafariḥū
and they rejoice
بِهَا
bihā
therein
جَآءَتْهَا
jāathā
comes to it
رِيحٌ
rīḥun
a wind
عَاصِفٌ
ʿāṣifun
stormy
وَجَآءَهُمُ
wajāahumu
and comes to them
ٱلْمَوْجُ
l-mawju
the waves
مِن
min
from
كُلِّ
kulli
every
مَكَانٍ
makānin
place
وَظَنُّوٓا۟
waẓannū
and they assume
أَنَّهُمْ
annahum
that they
أُحِيطَ
uḥīṭa
are surrounded
بِهِمْ
bihim
with them
دَعَوُا۟
daʿawū
They call
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
مُخْلِصِينَ
mukh'liṣīna
sincerely
لَهُ
lahu
to Him
ٱلدِّينَ
l-dīna
(in) the religion
لَئِنْ
la-in
(saying), "If
أَنجَيْتَنَا
anjaytanā
You save us
مِنْ
min
from
هَـٰذِهِۦ
hādhihi
this
لَنَكُونَنَّ
lanakūnanna
surely we will be
مِنَ
mina
among
ٱلشَّـٰكِرِينَ
l-shākirīna
the thankful
It is He who enables you to travel on land and sea until, when you are in ships and they sail with them1 by a good wind and they rejoice therein, there comes a storm wind and the waves come upon them from every place and they expect to be engulfed, they supplicate Allāh, sincere to Him in religion, "If You should save us from this, we will surely be among the thankful."

10:23
Ayah 10:23
فَلَمَّآ أَنجَىٰهُمْ إِذَا هُمْ يَبْغُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ ۗ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّمَا بَغْيُكُمْ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِكُم ۖ مَّتَـٰعَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَنُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
فَلَمَّآ
falammā
But when
أَنجَىٰهُمْ
anjāhum
He saved them
إِذَا
idhā
behold
هُمْ
hum
They
يَبْغُونَ
yabghūna
rebel
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the earth
بِغَيْرِ
bighayri
without
ٱلْحَقِّ
l-ḥaqi
[the] right
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا
yāayyuhā
O mankind
ٱلنَّاسُ
l-nāsu
O mankind
إِنَّمَا
innamā
Only
بَغْيُكُمْ
baghyukum
your rebellion
عَلَىٰٓ
ʿalā
(is) against
أَنفُسِكُم
anfusikum
yourselves
مَّتَـٰعَ
matāʿa
(the) enjoyment
ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
l-ḥayati
(of) the life
ٱلدُّنْيَا
l-dun'yā
(of) the world
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
إِلَيْنَا
ilaynā
to Us
مَرْجِعُكُمْ
marjiʿukum
(is) your return
فَنُنَبِّئُكُم
fanunabbi-ukum
and We will inform you
بِمَا
bimā
of what
كُنتُمْ
kuntum
you used (to)
تَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūna
do
But when He saves them, at once they commit injustice1 upon the earth without right. O mankind, your injustice is only against yourselves, [being merely] the enjoyment of worldly life. Then to Us is your return, and We will inform you of what you used to do.

10:24
Ayah 10:24
إِنَّمَا مَثَلُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا كَمَآءٍ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَٱخْتَلَطَ بِهِۦ نَبَاتُ ٱلْأَرْضِ مِمَّا يَأْكُلُ ٱلنَّاسُ وَٱلْأَنْعَـٰمُ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَخَذَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ زُخْرُفَهَا وَٱزَّيَّنَتْ وَظَنَّ أَهْلُهَآ أَنَّهُمْ قَـٰدِرُونَ عَلَيْهَآ أَتَىٰهَآ أَمْرُنَا لَيْلًا أَوْ نَهَارًا فَجَعَلْنَـٰهَا حَصِيدًا كَأَن لَّمْ تَغْنَ بِٱلْأَمْسِ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
إِنَّمَا
innamā
Only
مَثَلُ
mathalu
(the) example
ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
l-ḥayati
(of) the life
ٱلدُّنْيَا
l-dun'yā
(of) the world
كَمَآءٍ
kamāin
(is) like (the) water
أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ
anzalnāhu
which We sent down
مِنَ
mina
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
l-samāi
the sky
فَٱخْتَلَطَ
fa-ikh'talaṭa
so absorbs
بِهِۦ
bihi
[with] it
نَبَاتُ
nabātu
(the) plants
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍi
(of) the earth
مِمَّا
mimmā
from which
يَأْكُلُ
yakulu
eat
ٱلنَّاسُ
l-nāsu
the men
وَٱلْأَنْعَـٰمُ
wal-anʿāmu
and the cattle
حَتَّىٰٓ
ḥattā
until
إِذَآ
idhā
when
أَخَذَتِ
akhadhati
takes
ٱلْأَرْضُ
l-arḍu
the earth
زُخْرُفَهَا
zukh'rufahā
its adornment
وَٱزَّيَّنَتْ
wa-izzayyanat
and is beautified
وَظَنَّ
waẓanna
and think
أَهْلُهَآ
ahluhā
its people
أَنَّهُمْ
annahum
that they
قَـٰدِرُونَ
qādirūna
have the power
عَلَيْهَآ
ʿalayhā
over it
أَتَىٰهَآ
atāhā
comes (to) it
أَمْرُنَا
amrunā
Our command
لَيْلًا
laylan
(by) night
أَوْ
aw
or
نَهَارًا
nahāran
(by) day
فَجَعَلْنَـٰهَا
fajaʿalnāhā
and We make it
حَصِيدًا
ḥaṣīdan
a harvest clean-mown
كَأَن
ka-an
as if
لَّمْ
lam
not
تَغْنَ
taghna
it had flourished
بِٱلْأَمْسِ
bil-amsi
yesterday
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhālika
Thus
نُفَصِّلُ
nufaṣṣilu
We explain
ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ
l-āyāti
the Signs
لِقَوْمٍ
liqawmin
for a people
يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
yatafakkarūna
who reflect
The example of [this] worldly life is but like rain which We have sent down from the sky that the plants of the earth absorb - [those] from which men and livestock eat - until, when the earth has taken on its adornment and is beautified and its people suppose that they have capability over it, there comes to it Our command by night or by day, and We make it as a harvest,1 as if it had not flourished yesterday. Thus do We explain in detail the signs for a people who give thought.

10:25
Ayah 10:25
وَٱللَّهُ يَدْعُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ دَارِ ٱلسَّلَـٰمِ وَيَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
يَدْعُوٓا۟
yadʿū
calls
إِلَىٰ
ilā
to
دَارِ
dāri
(the) Home
ٱلسَّلَـٰمِ
l-salāmi
(of) the Peace
وَيَهْدِى
wayahdī
and guides
مَن
man
whom
يَشَآءُ
yashāu
He wills
إِلَىٰ
ilā
to
صِرَٰطٍ
ṣirāṭin
(the) straight path
مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
mus'taqīmin
(the) straight path
And Allāh invites to the Home of Peace [i.e., Paradise] and guides whom He wills to a straight path.

10:26
Ayah 10:26
۞ لِّلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا۟ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ وَزِيَادَةٌ ۖ وَلَا يَرْهَقُ وُجُوهَهُمْ قَتَرٌ وَلَا ذِلَّةٌ ۚ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَـٰلِدُونَ
لِّلَّذِينَ
lilladhīna
For those who
أَحْسَنُوا۟
aḥsanū
do good
ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
l-ḥus'nā
(is) the best
وَزِيَادَةٌ
waziyādatun
and more
وَلَا
walā
And not
يَرْهَقُ
yarhaqu
(will) cover
وُجُوهَهُمْ
wujūhahum
their faces
قَتَرٌ
qatarun
dust
وَلَا
walā
and not
ذِلَّةٌ
dhillatun
humiliation
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ
ulāika
Those
أَصْحَـٰبُ
aṣḥābu
(are the) companions
ٱلْجَنَّةِ
l-janati
(of) Paradise
هُمْ
hum
they
فِيهَا
fīhā
in it
خَـٰلِدُونَ
khālidūna
(will) abide forever
For them who have done good is the best [reward] - and extra.1 No darkness will cover their faces, nor humiliation. Those are companions of Paradise; they will abide therein eternally.

10:27
Ayah 10:27
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَسَبُوا۟ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ جَزَآءُ سَيِّئَةٍۭ بِمِثْلِهَا وَتَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌ ۖ مَّا لَهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مِنْ عَاصِمٍ ۖ كَأَنَّمَآ أُغْشِيَتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ قِطَعًا مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ مُظْلِمًا ۚ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَـٰلِدُونَ
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhīna
And those who
كَسَبُوا۟
kasabū
earned
ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ
l-sayiāti
the evil deeds
جَزَآءُ
jazāu
(the) recompense
سَيِّئَةٍۭ
sayyi-atin
(of) an evil deed
بِمِثْلِهَا
bimith'lihā
(is) like it
وَتَرْهَقُهُمْ
watarhaquhum
and (will) cover them
ذِلَّةٌ
dhillatun
humiliation
مَّا
They will not have
لَهُم
lahum
They will not have
مِّنَ
mina
from
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
مِنْ
min
any
عَاصِمٍ
ʿāṣimin
defender
كَأَنَّمَآ
ka-annamā
As if
أُغْشِيَتْ
ugh'shiyat
had been covered
وُجُوهُهُمْ
wujūhuhum
their faces
قِطَعًا
qiṭaʿan
(with) pieces
مِّنَ
mina
from
ٱلَّيْلِ
al-layli
the darkness (of) night
مُظْلِمًا
muẓ'liman
the darkness (of) night
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ
ulāika
Those
أَصْحَـٰبُ
aṣḥābu
(are the) companions
ٱلنَّارِ
l-nāri
(of) the Fire
هُمْ
hum
they
فِيهَا
fīhā
in it
خَـٰلِدُونَ
khālidūna
(will) abide forever
But they who have earned [blame for] evil doings - the recompense of an evil deed is its equivalent, and humiliation will cover them. They will have from Allāh no protector. It will be as if their faces are covered with pieces of the night - so dark [are they]. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.

10:28
Ayah 10:28
وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ نَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ مَكَانَكُمْ أَنتُمْ وَشُرَكَآؤُكُمْ ۚ فَزَيَّلْنَا بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ وَقَالَ شُرَكَآؤُهُم مَّا كُنتُمْ إِيَّانَا تَعْبُدُونَ
وَيَوْمَ
wayawma
And (the) Day
نَحْشُرُهُمْ
naḥshuruhum
We will gather them
جَمِيعًا

ثُمَّ
thumma
then
نَقُولُ
naqūlu
We will say
لِلَّذِينَ
lilladhīna
to those who
أَشْرَكُوا۟
ashrakū
associate partners (with Allah)
مَكَانَكُمْ
makānakum
(Remain in) your place
أَنتُمْ
antum
you
وَشُرَكَآؤُكُمْ
washurakāukum
and your partners
فَزَيَّلْنَا
fazayyalnā
Then We will separate
بَيْنَهُمْ
baynahum
[between] them
وَقَالَ
waqāla
and (will) say
شُرَكَآؤُهُم
shurakāuhum
their partners
مَّا
Not
كُنتُمْ
kuntum
you used (to)
إِيَّانَا
iyyānā
worship us
تَعْبُدُونَ
taʿbudūna
worship us
And [mention, O Muḥammad], the Day We will gather them all together - then We will say to those who associated others with Allāh, "[Remain in] your place, you and your 'partners.'"1 Then We will separate them,2 and their "partners" will say, "You did not used to worship us,3

10:29
Ayah 10:29
فَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ شَهِيدًۢا بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ إِن كُنَّا عَنْ عِبَادَتِكُمْ لَغَـٰفِلِينَ
فَكَفَىٰ
fakafā
So sufficient
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
(is) Allah
شَهِيدًۢا
shahīdan
(as) a witness
بَيْنَنَا
baynanā
between us
وَبَيْنَكُمْ
wabaynakum
and between you
إِن
in
that
كُنَّا
kunnā
we were
عَنْ
ʿan
of
عِبَادَتِكُمْ
ʿibādatikum
your worship
لَغَـٰفِلِينَ
laghāfilīna
certainly unaware
And sufficient is Allāh as a witness between us and you that we were of your worship unaware."

10:30
Ayah 10:30
هُنَالِكَ تَبْلُوا۟ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّآ أَسْلَفَتْ ۚ وَرُدُّوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَوْلَىٰهُمُ ٱلْحَقِّ ۖ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَفْتَرُونَ
هُنَالِكَ
hunālika
There
تَبْلُوا۟
tablū
will be put to trial
كُلُّ
kullu
every
نَفْسٍ
nafsin
soul
مَّآ
(for) what
أَسْلَفَتْ
aslafat
it did previously
وَرُدُّوٓا۟
waruddū
and they will be returned
إِلَى
ilā
to
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
مَوْلَىٰهُمُ
mawlāhumu
their Lord
ٱلْحَقِّ
l-ḥaqi
the true
وَضَلَّ
waḍalla
and will be lost
عَنْهُم
ʿanhum
from them
مَّا
what
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they used (to)
يَفْتَرُونَ
yaftarūna
invent
There, [on that Day], every soul will be put to trial for what it did previously, and they will be returned to Allāh, their master, the Truth, and lost from them is whatever they used to invent.

10:31
Ayah 10:31
قُلْ مَن يَرْزُقُكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ أَمَّن يَمْلِكُ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَٱلْأَبْصَـٰرَ وَمَن يُخْرِجُ ٱلْحَىَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَيِّتِ وَيُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَيِّتَ مِنَ ٱلْحَىِّ وَمَن يُدَبِّرُ ٱلْأَمْرَ ۚ فَسَيَقُولُونَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ فَقُلْ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
قُلْ
qul
Say
مَن
man
Who
يَرْزُقُكُم
yarzuqukum
provides for you
مِّنَ
mina
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
l-samāi
the sky
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
wal-arḍi
and the earth
أَمَّن
amman
Or who
يَمْلِكُ
yamliku
controls
ٱلسَّمْعَ
l-samʿa
the hearing
وَٱلْأَبْصَـٰرَ
wal-abṣāra
and the sight
وَمَن
waman
And who
يُخْرِجُ
yukh'riju
brings out
ٱلْحَىَّ
l-ḥaya
the living
مِنَ
mina
from
ٱلْمَيِّتِ
l-mayiti
the dead
وَيُخْرِجُ
wayukh'riju
and brings forth
ٱلْمَيِّتَ
l-mayita
the dead
مِنَ
mina
from
ٱلْحَىِّ
l-ḥayi
the living
وَمَن
waman
And who
يُدَبِّرُ
yudabbiru
disposes
ٱلْأَمْرَ
l-amra
the affairs
فَسَيَقُولُونَ
fasayaqūlūna
Then they will say
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah
فَقُلْ
faqul
Then say
أَفَلَا
afalā
Then will not
تَتَّقُونَ
tattaqūna
you fear (Him)
Say, "Who provides for you from the heaven and the earth? Or who controls hearing and sight and who brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living and who arranges [every] matter?" They will say, "Allāh," so say, "Then will you not fear Him?"

10:32
Ayah 10:32
فَذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۖ فَمَاذَا بَعْدَ ٱلْحَقِّ إِلَّا ٱلضَّلَـٰلُ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُصْرَفُونَ
فَذَٰلِكُمُ
fadhālikumu
For that
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
(is) Allah
رَبُّكُمُ
rabbukumu
your Lord
ٱلْحَقُّ
l-ḥaqu
the true
فَمَاذَا
famādhā
So what (can be)
بَعْدَ
baʿda
after
ٱلْحَقِّ
l-ḥaqi
the truth
إِلَّا
illā
except
ٱلضَّلَـٰلُ
l-ḍalālu
the error
فَأَنَّىٰ
fa-annā
So how
تُصْرَفُونَ
tuṣ'rafūna
(are) you turned away
For that is Allāh, your Lord, the Truth. And what can be beyond truth except error? So how are you averted?

10:33
Ayah 10:33
كَذَٰلِكَ حَقَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ فَسَقُوٓا۟ أَنَّهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhālika
Thus
حَقَّتْ
ḥaqqat
(is) proved true
كَلِمَتُ
kalimatu
(the) Word
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
(of) your Lord
عَلَى
ʿalā
upon
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
فَسَقُوٓا۟
fasaqū
defiantly disobeyed
أَنَّهُمْ
annahum
that they
لَا
(will) not
يُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūna
believe
Thus the word [i.e., decree] of your Lord has come into effect upon those who defiantly disobeyed - that they will not believe.

10:34
Ayah 10:34
قُلْ هَلْ مِن شُرَكَآئِكُم مَّن يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ ۚ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ

Say
هَلْ
hal
Is (there)
مِن
min
of
شُرَكَآئِكُم
shurakāikum
your partners
مَّن
man
(any) who
يَبْدَؤُا۟
yabda-u
originates
ٱلْخَلْقَ
l-khalqa
the creation
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
يُعِيدُهُۥ
yuʿīduhu
repeats it
قُلِ
quli
Say
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah
يَبْدَؤُا۟
yabda-u
originates
ٱلْخَلْقَ
l-khalqa
the creation
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
يُعِيدُهُۥ
yuʿīduhu
repeats it
فَأَنَّىٰ
fa-annā
So how
تُؤْفَكُونَ
tu'fakūna
you are deluded
Say, "Are there of your 'partners' any who begins creation and then repeats it?" Say, "Allāh begins creation and then repeats it, so how are you deluded?"

10:35
Ayah 10:35
قُلْ هَلْ مِن شُرَكَآئِكُم مَّن يَهْدِىٓ إِلَى ٱلْحَقِّ ۚ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ يَهْدِى لِلْحَقِّ ۗ أَفَمَن يَهْدِىٓ إِلَى ٱلْحَقِّ أَحَقُّ أَن يُتَّبَعَ أَمَّن لَّا يَهِدِّىٓ إِلَّآ أَن يُهْدَىٰ ۖ فَمَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ

Say
هَلْ
hal
Is (there)
مِن
min
of
شُرَكَآئِكُم
shurakāikum
your partners
مَّن
man
(any) who
يَهْدِىٓ
yahdī
guides
إِلَى
ilā
to
ٱلْحَقِّ
l-ḥaqi
the truth
قُلِ
quli
Say
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah
يَهْدِى
yahdī
guides
لِلْحَقِّ
lil'ḥaqqi
to the truth
أَفَمَن
afaman
Is then (he) who
يَهْدِىٓ
yahdī
guides
إِلَى
ilā
to
ٱلْحَقِّ
l-ḥaqi
the truth
أَحَقُّ
aḥaqqu
more worthy
أَن
an
that
يُتَّبَعَ
yuttabaʿa
he should be followed
أَمَّن
amman
or (he) who
لَّا
(does) not
يَهِدِّىٓ
yahiddī
guide
إِلَّآ
illā
unless
أَن
an
[that]
يُهْدَىٰ
yuh'dā
he is guided
فَمَا
famā
Then what
لَكُمْ
lakum
(is) for you
كَيْفَ
kayfa
how
تَحْكُمُونَ
taḥkumūna
you judge
Say, "Are there of your 'partners' any who guides to the truth?" Say, "Allāh guides to the truth. So is He who guides to the truth more worthy to be followed or he who guides not unless he is guided? Then what is [wrong] with you - how do you judge?"

10:36
Ayah 10:36
وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ أَكْثَرُهُمْ إِلَّا ظَنًّا ۚ إِنَّ ٱلظَّنَّ لَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ شَيْـًٔا ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌۢ بِمَا يَفْعَلُونَ
وَمَا
wamā
And not
يَتَّبِعُ
yattabiʿu
follow
أَكْثَرُهُمْ
aktharuhum
most of them
إِلَّا
illā
except
ظَنًّا
ẓannan
assumption
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلظَّنَّ
l-ẓana
the assumption
لَا
(does) not
يُغْنِى
yugh'nī
avail
مِنَ
mina
against
ٱلْحَقِّ
l-ḥaqi
the truth
شَيْـًٔا
shayan
anything
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
عَلِيمٌۢ
ʿalīmun
(is) All-Knower
بِمَا
bimā
of what
يَفْعَلُونَ
yafʿalūna
they do
And most of them follow not except assumption. Indeed, assumption avails not against the truth at all. Indeed, Allāh is Knowing of what they do.

10:37
Ayah 10:37
وَمَا كَانَ هَـٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانُ أَن يُفْتَرَىٰ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَـٰكِن تَصْدِيقَ ٱلَّذِى بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَتَفْصِيلَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ مِن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
وَمَا
wamā
And not
كَانَ
kāna
is
هَـٰذَا
hādhā
this
ٱلْقُرْءَانُ
l-qur'ānu
the Quran
أَن
an
that
يُفْتَرَىٰ
yuf'tarā
(it could be) produced
مِن
min
by
دُونِ
dūni
other than Allah
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
other than Allah
وَلَـٰكِن
walākin
but
تَصْدِيقَ
taṣdīqa
(it is) a confirmation
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
(of that) which
بَيْنَ
bayna
(was) before it
يَدَيْهِ
yadayhi
(was) before it
وَتَفْصِيلَ
watafṣīla
and a detailed explanation
ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ
l-kitābi
(of) the Book
لَا
(there is) no
رَيْبَ
rayba
doubt
فِيهِ
fīhi
in it
مِن
min
from
رَّبِّ
rabbi
(the) Lord
ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīna
(of) the worlds
And it was not [possible] for this Qur’ān to be produced by other than Allāh, but [it is] a confirmation of what was before it and a detailed explanation of the [former] Scripture, about which there is no doubt,1 from the Lord of the worlds.

10:38
Ayah 10:38
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ ۖ قُلْ فَأْتُوا۟ بِسُورَةٍ مِّثْلِهِۦ وَٱدْعُوا۟ مَنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ
أَمْ
am
Or
يَقُولُونَ
yaqūlūna
(do) they say
ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ
if'tarāhu
He has invented it
قُلْ
qul
Say
فَأْتُوا۟
fatū
Then bring
بِسُورَةٍ
bisūratin
a Surah
مِّثْلِهِۦ
mith'lihi
like it
وَٱدْعُوا۟
wa-id'ʿū
and call
مَنِ
mani
whoever
ٱسْتَطَعْتُم
is'taṭaʿtum
you can
مِّن
min
besides Allah
دُونِ
dūni
besides Allah
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
besides Allah
إِن
in
if
كُنتُمْ
kuntum
you are
صَـٰدِقِينَ
ṣādiqīna
truthful
Or do they say [about the Prophet (ﷺ)], "He invented it?" Say, "Then bring forth a sūrah like it and call upon [for assistance] whomever you can besides Allāh, if you should be truthful."

10:39
Ayah 10:39
بَلْ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِمَا لَمْ يُحِيطُوا۟ بِعِلْمِهِۦ وَلَمَّا يَأْتِهِمْ تَأْوِيلُهُۥ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ كَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۖ فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
بَلْ
bal
Nay
كَذَّبُوا۟
kadhabū
they denied
بِمَا
bimā
what
لَمْ
lam
not
يُحِيطُوا۟
yuḥīṭū
they could encompass
بِعِلْمِهِۦ
biʿil'mihi
(of) its knowledge
وَلَمَّا
walammā
and not
يَأْتِهِمْ
yatihim
has come (to) them
تَأْوِيلُهُۥ
tawīluhu
its interpretation
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhālika
Thus
كَذَّبَ
kadhaba
denied
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those
مِن
min
before them
قَبْلِهِمْ
qablihim
before them
فَٱنظُرْ
fa-unẓur
then see
كَيْفَ
kayfa
how
كَانَ
kāna
was
عَـٰقِبَةُ
ʿāqibatu
(the) end
ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīna
(of) the wrongdoers
Rather, they have denied that which they encompass not in knowledge and whose interpretation has not yet come to them. Thus did those before them deny. Then observe how was the end of the wrongdoers.

10:40
Ayah 10:40
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يُؤْمِنُ بِهِۦ وَمِنْهُم مَّن لَّا يُؤْمِنُ بِهِۦ ۚ وَرَبُّكَ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
وَمِنْهُم
wamin'hum
And of them
مَّن
man
(is one) who
يُؤْمِنُ
yu'minu
believes
بِهِۦ
bihi
in it
وَمِنْهُم
wamin'hum
and of them
مَّن
man
(is one) who
لَّا
(does) not
يُؤْمِنُ
yu'minu
believe
بِهِۦ
bihi
in it
وَرَبُّكَ
warabbuka
And your Lord
أَعْلَمُ
aʿlamu
(is) All-Knower
بِٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
bil-muf'sidīna
of the corrupters
And of them are those who believe in it, and of them are those who do not believe in it. And your Lord is most knowing of the corrupters.

10:41
Ayah 10:41
وَإِن كَذَّبُوكَ فَقُل لِّى عَمَلِى وَلَكُمْ عَمَلُكُمْ ۖ أَنتُم بَرِيٓـُٔونَ مِمَّآ أَعْمَلُ وَأَنَا۠ بَرِىٓءٌ مِّمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ
وَإِن
wa-in
And if
كَذَّبُوكَ
kadhabūka
they deny you
فَقُل
faqul
then say
لِّى
For me
عَمَلِى
ʿamalī
(are) my deeds
وَلَكُمْ
walakum
and for you
عَمَلُكُمْ
ʿamalukum
(are) your deeds
أَنتُم
antum
You
بَرِيٓـُٔونَ
barīūna
(are) disassociated
مِمَّآ
mimmā
from what
أَعْمَلُ
aʿmalu
I do
وَأَنَا۠
wa-anā
and I am
بَرِىٓءٌ
barīon
disassociated
مِّمَّا
mimmā
from what
تَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūna
you do
And if they deny you, [O Muḥammad], then say, "For me are my deeds, and for you are your deeds. You are disassociated from what I do, and I am disassociated from what you do."

10:42
Ayah 10:42
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُونَ إِلَيْكَ ۚ أَفَأَنتَ تُسْمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ وَلَوْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ
وَمِنْهُم
wamin'hum
And among them
مَّن
man
(are some) who
يَسْتَمِعُونَ
yastamiʿūna
listen
إِلَيْكَ
ilayka
to you
أَفَأَنتَ
afa-anta
But (can) you
تُسْمِعُ
tus'miʿu
cause the deaf to hear
ٱلصُّمَّ
l-ṣuma
cause the deaf to hear
وَلَوْ
walaw
even though
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they [were]
لَا
(do) not
يَعْقِلُونَ
yaʿqilūna
use reason
And among them are those who listen to you. But can you cause the deaf to hear [i.e., benefit from this hearing], although they will not use reason?

10:43
Ayah 10:43
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَنظُرُ إِلَيْكَ ۚ أَفَأَنتَ تَهْدِى ٱلْعُمْىَ وَلَوْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يُبْصِرُونَ
وَمِنْهُم
wamin'hum
And among them
مَّن
man
(are some) who
يَنظُرُ
yanẓuru
look
إِلَيْكَ
ilayka
at you
أَفَأَنتَ
afa-anta
But (can) you
تَهْدِى
tahdī
guide
ٱلْعُمْىَ
l-ʿum'ya
the blind
وَلَوْ
walaw
even though
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they [were]
لَا
(do) not
يُبْصِرُونَ
yub'ṣirūna
see
And among them are those who look at you. But can you guide the blind although they will not [attempt to] see?

10:44
Ayah 10:44
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَظْلِمُ ٱلنَّاسَ شَيْـًٔا وَلَـٰكِنَّ ٱلنَّاسَ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
لَا
(does) not
يَظْلِمُ
yaẓlimu
wrong
ٱلنَّاسَ
l-nāsa
the people
شَيْـًٔا
shayan
(in) anything
وَلَـٰكِنَّ
walākinna
but
ٱلنَّاسَ
l-nāsa
the people
أَنفُسَهُمْ
anfusahum
wrong themselves
يَظْلِمُونَ
yaẓlimūna
wrong themselves
Indeed, Allāh does not wrong the people at all, but it is the people who are wronging themselves.

10:45
Ayah 10:45
وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ كَأَن لَّمْ يَلْبَثُوٓا۟ إِلَّا سَاعَةً مِّنَ ٱلنَّهَارِ يَتَعَارَفُونَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ قَدْ خَسِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِلِقَآءِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُهْتَدِينَ
وَيَوْمَ
wayawma
And the Day
يَحْشُرُهُمْ
yaḥshuruhum
He will gather them
كَأَن
ka-an
as if
لَّمْ
lam
they had not remained
يَلْبَثُوٓا۟
yalbathū
they had not remained
إِلَّا
illā
except
سَاعَةً
sāʿatan
an hour
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلنَّهَارِ
l-nahāri
the day
يَتَعَارَفُونَ
yataʿārafūna
they will recognize each other
بَيْنَهُمْ
baynahum
between them
قَدْ
qad
Certainly
خَسِرَ
khasira
(will have) lost
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
كَذَّبُوا۟
kadhabū
denied
بِلِقَآءِ
biliqāi
the meeting
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(with) Allah
وَمَا
wamā
and not
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they were
مُهْتَدِينَ
muh'tadīna
the guided ones
And on the Day when He will gather them, [it will be] as if they had not remained [in the world] but an hour of the day, [and] they will know each other. Those will have lost who denied the meeting with Allāh and were not guided.

10:46
Ayah 10:46
وَإِمَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى نَعِدُهُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُهُمْ ثُمَّ ٱللَّهُ شَهِيدٌ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفْعَلُونَ
وَإِمَّا
wa-immā
And whether
نُرِيَنَّكَ
nuriyannaka
We show you
بَعْضَ
baʿḍa
some
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
(of) that which
نَعِدُهُمْ
naʿiduhum
We promised them
أَوْ
aw
or
نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ
natawaffayannaka
We cause you to die
فَإِلَيْنَا
fa-ilaynā
then to Us
مَرْجِعُهُمْ
marjiʿuhum
(is) their return
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah
شَهِيدٌ
shahīdun
(is) a Witness
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
over
مَا
what
يَفْعَلُونَ
yafʿalūna
they do
And whether We show you some of what We promise them, [O Muḥammad], or We take you in death, to Us is their return; then, [either way], Allāh is a witness concerning what they are doing.

10:47
Ayah 10:47
وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ رَّسُولٌ ۖ فَإِذَا جَآءَ رَسُولُهُمْ قُضِىَ بَيْنَهُم بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ
وَلِكُلِّ
walikulli
And for every
أُمَّةٍ
ummatin
nation
رَّسُولٌ
rasūlun
(is) a Messenger
فَإِذَا
fa-idhā
So when
جَآءَ
jāa
comes
رَسُولُهُمْ
rasūluhum
their Messenger
قُضِىَ
quḍiya
it will be judged
بَيْنَهُم
baynahum
between them
بِٱلْقِسْطِ
bil-qis'ṭi
in justice
وَهُمْ
wahum
and they
لَا
(will) not
يُظْلَمُونَ
yuẓ'lamūna
be wronged
And for every nation is a messenger. So when their messenger comes,1 it will be judged between them in justice, and they will not be wronged.

10:48
Ayah 10:48
وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَـٰذَا ٱلْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ
وَيَقُولُونَ
wayaqūlūna
And they say
مَتَىٰ
matā
When
هَـٰذَا
hādhā
(will) this
ٱلْوَعْدُ
l-waʿdu
the promise (be fulfilled)
إِن
in
if
كُنتُمْ
kuntum
you are
صَـٰدِقِينَ
ṣādiqīna
truthful
And they say, "When is [the fulfillment of] this promise, if you should be truthful?"

10:49
Ayah 10:49
قُل لَّآ أَمْلِكُ لِنَفْسِى ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۗ لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلٌ ۚ إِذَا جَآءَ أَجَلُهُمْ فَلَا يَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَ سَاعَةً ۖ وَلَا يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ
قُل
qul
Say
لَّآ
Not
أَمْلِكُ
amliku
I have power
لِنَفْسِى
linafsī
for myself
ضَرًّا
ḍarran
(for) any harm
وَلَا
walā
and not
نَفْعًا
nafʿan
(for) any profit
إِلَّا
illā
except
مَا
what
شَآءَ
shāa
Allah wills
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah wills
لِكُلِّ
likulli
For every
أُمَّةٍ
ummatin
nation
أَجَلٌ
ajalun
(is) a term
إِذَا
idhā
When
جَآءَ
jāa
comes
أَجَلُهُمْ
ajaluhum
their term
فَلَا
falā
then not
يَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَ
yastakhirūna
they remain behind
سَاعَةً
sāʿatan
an hour
وَلَا
walā
and not
يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ
yastaqdimūna
they can precede (it)
Say, "I possess not for myself any harm or benefit except what Allāh should will. For every nation is a [specified] term. When their time has come, then they will not remain behind an hour, nor will they precede [it]."

10:50
Ayah 10:50
قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَتَىٰكُمْ عَذَابُهُۥ بَيَـٰتًا أَوْ نَهَارًا مَّاذَا يَسْتَعْجِلُ مِنْهُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
قُلْ
qul
Say
أَرَءَيْتُمْ
ara-aytum
Do you see
إِنْ
in
if
أَتَىٰكُمْ
atākum
comes to you
عَذَابُهُۥ
ʿadhābuhu
His punishment
بَيَـٰتًا
bayātan
(by) night
أَوْ
aw
or
نَهَارًا
nahāran
(by) day
مَّاذَا
mādhā
what (portion)
يَسْتَعْجِلُ
yastaʿjilu
of it would (wish to) hasten
مِنْهُ
min'hu
of it would (wish to) hasten
ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
l-muj'rimūna
the criminals
Say, "Have you considered: if His punishment should come to you by night or by day - for which [aspect] of it would the criminals be impatient?"1

10:51
Ayah 10:51
أَثُمَّ إِذَا مَا وَقَعَ ءَامَنتُم بِهِۦٓ ۚ ءَآلْـَٔـٰنَ وَقَدْ كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
أَثُمَّ
athumma
Is (it) then
إِذَا
idhā
when
مَا
when
وَقَعَ
waqaʿa
(it had) occurred
ءَامَنتُم
āmantum
you (will) believe
بِهِۦٓ
bihi
in it
ءَآلْـَٔـٰنَ
āl'āna
Now
وَقَدْ
waqad
And certainly
كُنتُم
kuntum
you were
بِهِۦ
bihi
seeking to hasten it
تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
tastaʿjilūna
seeking to hasten it
Then is it that when it has [actually] occurred you will believe in it? Now?1 And you were [once] for it impatient.2

10:52
Ayah 10:52
ثُمَّ قِيلَ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابَ ٱلْخُلْدِ هَلْ تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْسِبُونَ
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
قِيلَ
qīla
it will be said
لِلَّذِينَ
lilladhīna
to those who
ظَلَمُوا۟
ẓalamū
wronged
ذُوقُوا۟
dhūqū
Taste
عَذَابَ
ʿadhāba
punishment
ٱلْخُلْدِ
l-khul'di
the everlasting
هَلْ
hal
Are you (being) recompensed
تُجْزَوْنَ
tuj'zawna
Are you (being) recompensed
إِلَّا
illā
except
بِمَا
bimā
for what
كُنتُمْ
kuntum
you used (to)
تَكْسِبُونَ
taksibūna
earn
Then it will be said to those who had wronged, "Taste the punishment of eternity; are you being recompensed except for what you used to earn?"

10:53
Ayah 10:53
۞ وَيَسْتَنۢبِـُٔونَكَ أَحَقٌّ هُوَ ۖ قُلْ إِى وَرَبِّىٓ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقٌّ ۖ وَمَآ أَنتُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ
وَيَسْتَنۢبِـُٔونَكَ
wayastanbiūnaka
And they ask you to inform
أَحَقٌّ
aḥaqqun
Is it true
هُوَ
huwa
Is it true
قُلْ
qul
Say
إِى
ī
Yes
وَرَبِّىٓ
warabbī
by my Lord
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed, it
لَحَقٌّ
laḥaqqun
(is) surely the truth
وَمَآ
wamā
and not
أَنتُم
antum
you
بِمُعْجِزِينَ
bimuʿ'jizīna
(can) escape (it)
And they ask information of you, [O Muḥammad], "Is it true?" Say, "Yes, by my Lord. Indeed, it is truth; and you will not cause failure [to Allāh]."

10:54
Ayah 10:54
وَلَوْ أَنَّ لِكُلِّ نَفْسٍ ظَلَمَتْ مَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ لَٱفْتَدَتْ بِهِۦ ۗ وَأَسَرُّوا۟ ٱلنَّدَامَةَ لَمَّا رَأَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ ۖ وَقُضِىَ بَيْنَهُم بِٱلْقِسْطِ ۚ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ
وَلَوْ
walaw
And if
أَنَّ
anna
that
لِكُلِّ
likulli
for every
نَفْسٍ
nafsin
soul
ظَلَمَتْ
ẓalamat
(that) wronged
مَا
whatever
فِى
(is) in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the earth
لَٱفْتَدَتْ
la-if'tadat
it (would) seek to ransom
بِهِۦ
bihi
with it
وَأَسَرُّوا۟
wa-asarrū
and they (will) confide
ٱلنَّدَامَةَ
l-nadāmata
the regret
لَمَّا
lammā
when
رَأَوُا۟
ra-awū
they see
ٱلْعَذَابَ
l-ʿadhāba
the punishment
وَقُضِىَ
waquḍiya
But will be judged
بَيْنَهُم
baynahum
between them
بِٱلْقِسْطِ
bil-qis'ṭi
in justice
وَهُمْ
wahum
and they
لَا
(will) not
يُظْلَمُونَ
yuẓ'lamūna
(be) wronged
And if each soul that wronged had everything on earth, it would offer it in ransom. And they will confide regret when they see the punishment; and they will be judged in justice, and they will not be wronged.

10:55
Ayah 10:55
أَلَآ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ أَلَآ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
أَلَآ
alā
No doubt
إِنَّ
inna
indeed
لِلَّهِ
lillahi
for Allah
مَا
(is) whatever
فِى
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
wal-arḍi
and the earth
أَلَآ
alā
No doubt
إِنَّ
inna
indeed
وَعْدَ
waʿda
(the) Promise of Allah
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(the) Promise of Allah
حَقٌّ
ḥaqqun
(is) true
وَلَـٰكِنَّ
walākinna
But
أَكْثَرَهُمْ
aktharahum
most of them
لَا
(do) not
يَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūna
know
Unquestionably, to Allāh belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. Unquestionably, the promise of Allāh is truth, but most of them do not know.

10:56
Ayah 10:56
هُوَ يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
هُوَ
huwa
He
يُحْىِۦ
yuḥ'yī
gives life
وَيُمِيتُ
wayumītu
and causes death
وَإِلَيْهِ
wa-ilayhi
and to Him
تُرْجَعُونَ
tur'jaʿūna
you will be returned
He gives life and causes death, and to Him you will be returned.

10:57
Ayah 10:57
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ قَدْ جَآءَتْكُم مَّوْعِظَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَشِفَآءٌ لِّمَا فِى ٱلصُّدُورِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا
yāayyuhā
O mankind
ٱلنَّاسُ
l-nāsu
O mankind
قَدْ
qad
Verily
جَآءَتْكُم
jāatkum
has come to you
مَّوْعِظَةٌ
mawʿiẓatun
an instruction
مِّن
min
from
رَّبِّكُمْ
rabbikum
your Lord
وَشِفَآءٌ
washifāon
and a healing
لِّمَا
limā
for what
فِى
(is) in
ٱلصُّدُورِ
l-ṣudūri
your breasts
وَهُدًى
wahudan
and guidance
وَرَحْمَةٌ
waraḥmatun
and mercy
لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
lil'mu'minīna
for the believers
O mankind, there has come to you instruction from your Lord and healing for what is in the breasts and guidance and mercy for the believers.

10:58
Ayah 10:58
قُلْ بِفَضْلِ ٱللَّهِ وَبِرَحْمَتِهِۦ فَبِذَٰلِكَ فَلْيَفْرَحُوا۟ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِّمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ
قُلْ
qul
Say
بِفَضْلِ
bifaḍli
In the Bounty
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
وَبِرَحْمَتِهِۦ
wabiraḥmatihi
and in His Mercy
فَبِذَٰلِكَ
fabidhālika
so in that
فَلْيَفْرَحُوا۟
falyafraḥū
let them rejoice
هُوَ
huwa
It
خَيْرٌ
khayrun
(is) better
مِّمَّا
mimmā
than what
يَجْمَعُونَ
yajmaʿūna
they accumulate
Say, "In the bounty of Allāh and in His mercy - in that let them rejoice; it is better than what they accumulate."

10:59
Ayah 10:59
قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُم مَّآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ لَكُم مِّن رِّزْقٍ فَجَعَلْتُم مِّنْهُ حَرَامًا وَحَلَـٰلًا قُلْ ءَآللَّهُ أَذِنَ لَكُمْ ۖ أَمْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ تَفْتَرُونَ
قُلْ
qul
Say
أَرَءَيْتُم
ara-aytum
Have you seen
مَّآ
what
أَنزَلَ
anzala
(has been) sent down
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
(by) Allah
لَكُم
lakum
for you
مِّن
min
of
رِّزْقٍ
riz'qin
(the) provision
فَجَعَلْتُم
fajaʿaltum
and you have made
مِّنْهُ
min'hu
of it
حَرَامًا
ḥarāman
unlawful
وَحَلَـٰلًا
waḥalālan
and lawful
قُلْ
qul
Say
ءَآللَّهُ
āllahu
Has Allah
أَذِنَ
adhina
permitted
لَكُمْ
lakum
[to] you
أَمْ
am
or
عَلَى
ʿalā
about
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
تَفْتَرُونَ
taftarūna
you invent (lies)
Say, "Have you seen what Allāh has sent down to you of provision of which you have made [some] lawful and [some] unlawful?" Say, "Has Allāh permitted you [to do so], or do you invent [something] about Allāh?"

10:60
Ayah 10:60
وَمَا ظَنُّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَشْكُرُونَ
وَمَا
wamā
And what
ظَنُّ
ẓannu
(will be the) assumption
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
(of) those who
يَفْتَرُونَ
yaftarūna
invent
عَلَى
ʿalā
against
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
ٱلْكَذِبَ
l-kadhiba
the lie
يَوْمَ
yawma
(on) the Day
ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ
l-qiyāmati
(of) the Judgment
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
لَذُو
ladhū
(is) surely Full (of) Bounty
فَضْلٍ
faḍlin
(is) surely Full (of) Bounty
عَلَى
ʿalā
to
ٱلنَّاسِ
l-nāsi
the mankind
وَلَـٰكِنَّ
walākinna
but
أَكْثَرَهُمْ
aktharahum
most of them
لَا
(are) not
يَشْكُرُونَ
yashkurūna
grateful
And what will be the supposition of those who invent falsehood about Allāh on the Day of Resurrection?1 Indeed, Allāh is the possessor of bounty for the people, but most of them are not grateful.

10:61
Ayah 10:61
وَمَا تَكُونُ فِى شَأْنٍ وَمَا تَتْلُوا۟ مِنْهُ مِن قُرْءَانٍ وَلَا تَعْمَلُونَ مِنْ عَمَلٍ إِلَّا كُنَّا عَلَيْكُمْ شُهُودًا إِذْ تُفِيضُونَ فِيهِ ۚ وَمَا يَعْزُبُ عَن رَّبِّكَ مِن مِّثْقَالِ ذَرَّةٍ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَلَآ أَصْغَرَ مِن ذَٰلِكَ وَلَآ أَكْبَرَ إِلَّا فِى كِتَـٰبٍ مُّبِينٍ
وَمَا
wamā
And not
تَكُونُ
takūnu
you are
فِى
[in]
شَأْنٍ
shanin
any situation
وَمَا
wamā
and not
تَتْلُوا۟
tatlū
you recite
مِنْهُ
min'hu
of it
مِن
min
from
قُرْءَانٍ
qur'ānin
(the) Quran
وَلَا
walā
and not
تَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūna
you do
مِنْ
min
any
عَمَلٍ
ʿamalin
deed
إِلَّا
illā
except
كُنَّا
kunnā
We are
عَلَيْكُمْ
ʿalaykum
over you
شُهُودًا
shuhūdan
witnesses
إِذْ
idh
when
تُفِيضُونَ
tufīḍūna
you are engaged
فِيهِ
fīhi
in it
وَمَا
wamā
And not
يَعْزُبُ
yaʿzubu
escapes
عَن
ʿan
from
رَّبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
مِن
min
of
مِّثْقَالِ
mith'qāli
(the) weight
ذَرَّةٍ
dharratin
(of) an atom
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the earth
وَلَا
walā
and not
فِى
in
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
l-samāi
the heavens
وَلَآ
walā
and not
أَصْغَرَ
aṣghara
smaller
مِن
min
than
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
that
وَلَآ
walā
and not
أَكْبَرَ
akbara
greater
إِلَّا
illā
but
فِى
(is) in
كِتَـٰبٍ
kitābin
a Record
مُّبِينٍ
mubīnin
clear
And, [O Muḥammad], you are not [engaged] in any matter and do not recite any of the Qur’ān and you [people] do not do any deed except that We are witness over you when you are involved in it. And not absent from your Lord is any [part] of an atom's weight1 within the earth or within the heaven or [anything] smaller than that or greater but that it is in a clear register.

10:62
Ayah 10:62
أَلَآ إِنَّ أَوْلِيَآءَ ٱللَّهِ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
أَلَآ
alā
No doubt
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
أَوْلِيَآءَ
awliyāa
(the) friends
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
لَا
(there will be) no
خَوْفٌ
khawfun
fear
عَلَيْهِمْ
ʿalayhim
upon then
وَلَا
walā
and not
هُمْ
hum
they
يَحْزَنُونَ
yaḥzanūna
will grieve
Unquestionably, [for] the allies of Allāh there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve -

10:63
Ayah 10:63
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ يَتَّقُونَ
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
Those who
ءَامَنُوا۟
āmanū
believe
وَكَانُوا۟
wakānū
and are
يَتَّقُونَ
yattaqūna
conscious (of Allah)
Those who believed and were fearing Allāh.

10:64
Ayah 10:64
لَهُمُ ٱلْبُشْرَىٰ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَفِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۚ لَا تَبْدِيلَ لِكَلِمَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ
لَهُمُ
lahumu
For them
ٱلْبُشْرَىٰ
l-bush'rā
(are) the glad tidings
فِى
in
ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
l-ḥayati
the life
ٱلدُّنْيَا
l-dun'yā
(of) the world
وَفِى
wafī
and in
ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
l-ākhirati
the Hereafter
لَا
No
تَبْدِيلَ
tabdīla
change
لِكَلِمَـٰتِ
likalimāti
(is there) in the Words
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
That
هُوَ
huwa
is
ٱلْفَوْزُ
l-fawzu
the success
ٱلْعَظِيمُ
l-ʿaẓīmu
the great
For them are good tidings in the worldly life and in the Hereafter. No change is there in the words [i.e., decrees] of Allāh. That is what is the great attainment.

10:65
Ayah 10:65
وَلَا يَحْزُنكَ قَوْلُهُمْ ۘ إِنَّ ٱلْعِزَّةَ لِلَّهِ جَمِيعًا ۚ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
وَلَا
walā
And (let) not
يَحْزُنكَ
yaḥzunka
grieve you
قَوْلُهُمْ
qawluhum
their speech
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلْعِزَّةَ
l-ʿizata
the honor
لِلَّهِ
lillahi
(belongs) to Allah
جَمِيعًا
jamīʿan
all
هُوَ
huwa
He
ٱلسَّمِيعُ
l-samīʿu
(is) the All-Hearer
ٱلْعَلِيمُ
l-ʿalīmu
the All-Knower
And let not their speech grieve you. Indeed, honor [due to power] belongs to Allāh entirely. He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

10:66
Ayah 10:66
أَلَآ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ شُرَكَآءَ ۚ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ
أَلَآ
alā
No doubt
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
لِلَّهِ
lillahi
to Allah (belongs)
مَن
man
whoever
فِى
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَمَن
waman
and whoever
فِى
(is) in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the earth
وَمَا
wamā
And not
يَتَّبِعُ
yattabiʿu
follow
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
يَدْعُونَ
yadʿūna
invoke
مِن
min
other than Allah
دُونِ
dūni
other than Allah
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
other than Allah
شُرَكَآءَ
shurakāa
partners
إِن
in
Not
يَتَّبِعُونَ
yattabiʿūna
they follow
إِلَّا
illā
but
ٱلظَّنَّ
l-ẓana
the assumption
وَإِنْ
wa-in
and not
هُمْ
hum
they
إِلَّا
illā
but
يَخْرُصُونَ
yakhruṣūna
guess
Unquestionably, to Allāh belongs whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth. And those who invoke other than Allāh do not [actually] follow [His] "partners." They follow not except assumption, and they are not but misjudging.

10:67
Ayah 10:67
هُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ لِتَسْكُنُوا۟ فِيهِ وَٱلنَّهَارَ مُبْصِرًا ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَسْمَعُونَ
هُوَ
huwa
He
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
(is) the One Who
جَعَلَ
jaʿala
made
لَكُمُ
lakumu
for you
ٱلَّيْلَ
al-layla
the night
لِتَسْكُنُوا۟
litaskunū
that you may rest
فِيهِ
fīhi
in it
وَٱلنَّهَارَ
wal-nahāra
and the day
مُبْصِرًا
mub'ṣiran
giving visibility
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
فِى
in
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
that
لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ
laāyātin
surely (are) Signs
لِّقَوْمٍ
liqawmin
for a people
يَسْمَعُونَ
yasmaʿūna
(who) listen
It is He who made for you the night to rest therein and the day, giving sight.1 Indeed in that are signs for a people who listen.

10:68
Ayah 10:68
قَالُوا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَدًا ۗ سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ ۖ هُوَ ٱلْغَنِىُّ ۖ لَهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ إِنْ عِندَكُم مِّن سُلْطَـٰنٍۭ بِهَـٰذَآ ۚ أَتَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
قَالُوا۟
qālū
They say
ٱتَّخَذَ
ittakhadha
Allah has taken
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah has taken
وَلَدًا
waladan
a son
سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ
sub'ḥānahu
Glory be to Him
هُوَ
huwa
He
ٱلْغَنِىُّ
l-ghaniyu
(is) the Self-sufficient
لَهُۥ
lahu
To Him (belongs)
مَا
whatever
فِى
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَمَا
wamā
and whatever
فِى
(is) in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the earth
إِنْ
in
Not
عِندَكُم
ʿindakum
you have
مِّن
min
any
سُلْطَـٰنٍۭ
sul'ṭānin
authority
بِهَـٰذَآ
bihādhā
for this
أَتَقُولُونَ
ataqūlūna
Do you say
عَلَى
ʿalā
about
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
مَا
what
لَا
not
تَعْلَمُونَ
taʿlamūna
you know
They1 have said, "Allāh has taken a son." Exalted is He; He is the [one] Free of need. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. You have no authority2 for this [claim]. Do you say about Allāh that which you do not know?

10:69
Ayah 10:69
قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ لَا يُفْلِحُونَ
قُلْ
qul
Say
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
يَفْتَرُونَ
yaftarūna
invent
عَلَى
ʿalā
against
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
ٱلْكَذِبَ
l-kadhiba
the lie
لَا
they will not succeed
يُفْلِحُونَ
yuf'liḥūna
they will not succeed
Say, "Indeed, those who invent falsehood about Allāh will not succeed."

10:70
Ayah 10:70
مَتَـٰعٌ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا ثُمَّ إِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُهُمْ ثُمَّ نُذِيقُهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلشَّدِيدَ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْفُرُونَ
مَتَـٰعٌ
matāʿun
An enjoyment
فِى
in
ٱلدُّنْيَا
l-dun'yā
the world
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
إِلَيْنَا
ilaynā
to Us
مَرْجِعُهُمْ
marjiʿuhum
(is) their return
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
نُذِيقُهُمُ
nudhīquhumu
We will make them taste
ٱلْعَذَابَ
l-ʿadhāba
the punishment
ٱلشَّدِيدَ
l-shadīda
the severe
بِمَا
bimā
because
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they used to
يَكْفُرُونَ
yakfurūna
disbelieve
[For them is brief] enjoyment in this world; then to Us is their return; then We will make them taste the severe punishment because they used to disbelieve.

10:71
Ayah 10:71
۞ وَٱتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ نُوحٍ إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦ يَـٰقَوْمِ إِن كَانَ كَبُرَ عَلَيْكُم مَّقَامِى وَتَذْكِيرِى بِـَٔايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ فَأَجْمِعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَكُمْ وَشُرَكَآءَكُمْ ثُمَّ لَا يَكُنْ أَمْرُكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ غُمَّةً ثُمَّ ٱقْضُوٓا۟ إِلَىَّ وَلَا تُنظِرُونِ
وَٱتْلُ
wa-ut'lu
And recite
عَلَيْهِمْ
ʿalayhim
to them
نَبَأَ
naba-a
the news
نُوحٍ
nūḥin
(of) Nuh
إِذْ
idh
when
قَالَ
qāla
he said
لِقَوْمِهِۦ
liqawmihi
to his people
يَـٰقَوْمِ
yāqawmi
O my people
إِن
in
If
كَانَ
kāna
is
كَبُرَ
kabura
hard
عَلَيْكُم
ʿalaykum
on you
مَّقَامِى
maqāmī
my stay
وَتَذْكِيرِى
watadhkīrī
and my reminding
بِـَٔايَـٰتِ
biāyāti
the Signs of Allah
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
the Signs of Allah
فَعَلَى
faʿalā
then on
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
تَوَكَّلْتُ
tawakkaltu
I put my trust
فَأَجْمِعُوٓا۟
fa-ajmiʿū
So you all resolve
أَمْرَكُمْ
amrakum
your plan
وَشُرَكَآءَكُمْ
washurakāakum
and your partners
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
لَا
let not be
يَكُنْ
yakun
let not be
أَمْرُكُمْ
amrukum
(in) your plan
عَلَيْكُمْ
ʿalaykum
for you
غُمَّةً
ghummatan
any doubt
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
ٱقْضُوٓا۟
iq'ḍū
carry (it out)
إِلَىَّ
ilayya
upon me
وَلَا
walā
and (do) not
تُنظِرُونِ
tunẓirūni
give me respite
And recite to them the news of Noah, when he said to his people, "O my people, if my residence and my reminding of the signs of Allāh has become burdensome upon you - then I have relied upon Allāh. So resolve upon your plan and [call upon] your associates. Then let not your plan be obscure to you.1 Then carry it out upon me and do not give me respite.

10:72
Ayah 10:72
فَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَمَا سَأَلْتُكُم مِّنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ
فَإِن
fa-in
But if
تَوَلَّيْتُمْ
tawallaytum
you turn away
فَمَا
famā
then not
سَأَلْتُكُم
sa-altukum
I have asked you
مِّنْ
min
any
أَجْرٍ
ajrin
reward
إِنْ
in
Not
أَجْرِىَ
ajriya
(is) my reward
إِلَّا
illā
but
عَلَى
ʿalā
on
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
وَأُمِرْتُ
wa-umir'tu
and I have been commanded
أَنْ
an
that
أَكُونَ
akūna
I be
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ
l-mus'limīna
the Muslims
And if you turn away [from my advice] - then no payment have I asked of you. My reward is only from Allāh, and I have been commanded to be of the Muslims [i.e., those who submit to Allāh]."

10:73
Ayah 10:73
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ خَلَـٰٓئِفَ وَأَغْرَقْنَا ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا ۖ فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ
فَكَذَّبُوهُ
fakadhabūhu
But they denied him
فَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ
fanajjaynāhu
so We saved him
وَمَن
waman
and (those) who
مَّعَهُۥ
maʿahu
(were) with him
فِى
in
ٱلْفُلْكِ
l-ful'ki
the ship
وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ
wajaʿalnāhum
and We made them
خَلَـٰٓئِفَ
khalāifa
successors
وَأَغْرَقْنَا
wa-aghraqnā
and We drowned
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
كَذَّبُوا۟
kadhabū
denied
بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا
biāyātinā
Our Signs
فَٱنظُرْ
fa-unẓur
Then see
كَيْفَ
kayfa
how
كَانَ
kāna
was
عَـٰقِبَةُ
ʿāqibatu
(the) end
ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ
l-mundharīna
(of) those who were warned
And they denied him, so We saved him and those with him in the ship and made them successors, and We drowned those who denied Our signs. Then see how was the end of those who were warned.

10:74
Ayah 10:74
ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ رُسُلًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِمْ فَجَآءُوهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ فَمَا كَانُوا۟ لِيُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِمَا كَذَّبُوا۟ بِهِۦ مِن قَبْلُ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَطْبَعُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِ ٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
بَعَثْنَا
baʿathnā
We sent
مِنۢ
min
after him
بَعْدِهِۦ
baʿdihi
after him
رُسُلًا
rusulan
Messengers
إِلَىٰ
ilā
to
قَوْمِهِمْ
qawmihim
their people
فَجَآءُوهُم
fajāūhum
and they came to them
بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ
bil-bayināti
with clear proofs
فَمَا
famā
But not
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they were
لِيُؤْمِنُوا۟
liyu'minū
to believe
بِمَا
bimā
what
كَذَّبُوا۟
kadhabū
they had denied
بِهِۦ
bihi
[it]
مِن
min
before
قَبْلُ
qablu
before
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhālika
Thus
نَطْبَعُ
naṭbaʿu
We seal
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
[on]
قُلُوبِ
qulūbi
the hearts
ٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ
l-muʿ'tadīna
(of) the transgressors
Then We sent after him messengers to their peoples, and they came to them with clear proofs. But they were not to believe in that which they had denied before.1 Thus We seal over the hearts of the transgressors.

10:75
Ayah 10:75
ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِم مُّوسَىٰ وَهَـٰرُونَ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا مُّجْرِمِينَ
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
بَعَثْنَا
baʿathnā
We sent
مِنۢ
min
after them
بَعْدِهِم
baʿdihim
after them
مُّوسَىٰ
mūsā
Musa
وَهَـٰرُونَ
wahārūna
and Harun
إِلَىٰ
ilā
to
فِرْعَوْنَ
fir'ʿawna
Firaun
وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ
wamala-ihi
and his chiefs
بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا
biāyātinā
with Our Signs
فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟
fa-is'takbarū
but they were arrogant
وَكَانُوا۟
wakānū
and were
قَوْمًا
qawman
a people
مُّجْرِمِينَ
muj'rimīna
criminal
Then We sent after them Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh and his establishment with Our signs, but they behaved arrogantly and were a criminal people.

10:76
Ayah 10:76
فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ مِنْ عِندِنَا قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَسِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ
فَلَمَّا
falammā
So when
جَآءَهُمُ
jāahumu
came to them
ٱلْحَقُّ
l-ḥaqu
the truth
مِنْ
min
from Us
عِندِنَا
ʿindinā
from Us
قَالُوٓا۟
qālū
they said
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
هَـٰذَا
hādhā
this
لَسِحْرٌ
lasiḥ'run
(is) surely, a magic
مُّبِينٌ
mubīnun
clear
So when there came to them the truth from Us, they said, "Indeed, this is obvious magic."

10:77
Ayah 10:77
قَالَ مُوسَىٰٓ أَتَقُولُونَ لِلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَكُمْ ۖ أَسِحْرٌ هَـٰذَا وَلَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلسَّـٰحِرُونَ
قَالَ
qāla
Musa said
مُوسَىٰٓ
mūsā
Musa said
أَتَقُولُونَ
ataqūlūna
Do you say
لِلْحَقِّ
lil'ḥaqqi
about the truth
لَمَّا
lammā
when
جَآءَكُمْ
jāakum
it has come to you
أَسِحْرٌ
asiḥ'run
Is this magic
هَـٰذَا
hādhā
Is this magic
وَلَا
walā
But (will) not
يُفْلِحُ
yuf'liḥu
succeed
ٱلسَّـٰحِرُونَ
l-sāḥirūna
the magicians
Moses said, "Do you say [thus] about the truth when it has come to you? Is this magic? But magicians will not succeed."

10:78
Ayah 10:78
قَالُوٓا۟ أَجِئْتَنَا لِتَلْفِتَنَا عَمَّا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ ءَابَآءَنَا وَتَكُونَ لَكُمَا ٱلْكِبْرِيَآءُ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا نَحْنُ لَكُمَا بِمُؤْمِنِينَ
قَالُوٓا۟
qālū
They said
أَجِئْتَنَا
aji'tanā
Have you come to us
لِتَلْفِتَنَا
litalfitanā
to turn us away
عَمَّا
ʿammā
from that
وَجَدْنَا
wajadnā
we found
عَلَيْهِ
ʿalayhi
on it
ءَابَآءَنَا
ābāanā
our forefathers
وَتَكُونَ
watakūna
and you two (may) have
لَكُمَا
lakumā
and you two (may) have
ٱلْكِبْرِيَآءُ
l-kib'riyāu
the greatness
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the land
وَمَا
wamā
And we (are) not
نَحْنُ
naḥnu
And we (are) not
لَكُمَا
lakumā
(in) you two
بِمُؤْمِنِينَ
bimu'minīna
believers
They said, "Have you come to us to turn us away from that upon which we found our fathers and so that you two may have grandeur in the land? And we are not believers in you."

10:79
Ayah 10:79
وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ ٱئْتُونِى بِكُلِّ سَـٰحِرٍ عَلِيمٍ
وَقَالَ
waqāla
And Firaun said
فِرْعَوْنُ
fir'ʿawnu
And Firaun said
ٱئْتُونِى
i'tūnī
Bring to me
بِكُلِّ
bikulli
every
سَـٰحِرٍ
sāḥirin
magician
عَلِيمٍ
ʿalīmin
learned
And Pharaoh said, "Bring to me every learned magician."

10:80
Ayah 10:80
فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰٓ أَلْقُوا۟ مَآ أَنتُم مُّلْقُونَ
فَلَمَّا
falammā
So when
جَآءَ
jāa
came
ٱلسَّحَرَةُ
l-saḥaratu
the magicians
قَالَ
qāla
said
لَهُم
lahum
to them
مُّوسَىٰٓ
mūsā
Musa
أَلْقُوا۟
alqū
Throw
مَآ
whatever
أَنتُم
antum
you
مُّلْقُونَ
mul'qūna
(wish to) throw
So when the magicians came, Moses said to them, "Throw down whatever you will throw."

10:81
Ayah 10:81
فَلَمَّآ أَلْقَوْا۟ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ مَا جِئْتُم بِهِ ٱلسِّحْرُ ۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَيُبْطِلُهُۥٓ ۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُصْلِحُ عَمَلَ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
فَلَمَّآ
falammā
Then when
أَلْقَوْا۟
alqaw
they (had) thrown
قَالَ
qāla
Musa said
مُوسَىٰ
mūsā
Musa said
مَا
What
جِئْتُم
ji'tum
you have brought
بِهِ
bihi
[it]
ٱلسِّحْرُ
l-siḥ'ru
(is) the magic
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
سَيُبْطِلُهُۥٓ
sayub'ṭiluhu
will nullify it
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
لَا
(does) not
يُصْلِحُ
yuṣ'liḥu
amend
عَمَلَ
ʿamala
the work
ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
l-muf'sidīna
(of) the corrupters
And when they had thrown, Moses said, "What you have brought is [only] magic. Indeed, Allāh will expose its worthlessness. Indeed, Allāh does not amend the work of corrupters.

10:82
Ayah 10:82
وَيُحِقُّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَـٰتِهِۦ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
وَيُحِقُّ
wayuḥiqqu
And Allah will establish
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
And Allah will establish
ٱلْحَقَّ
l-ḥaqa
the truth
بِكَلِمَـٰتِهِۦ
bikalimātihi
by His words
وَلَوْ
walaw
even if
كَرِهَ
kariha
dislike it
ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
l-muj'rimūna
the criminals
And Allāh will establish the truth by His words, even if the criminals dislike it."

10:83
Ayah 10:83
فَمَآ ءَامَنَ لِمُوسَىٰٓ إِلَّا ذُرِّيَّةٌ مِّن قَوْمِهِۦ عَلَىٰ خَوْفٍ مِّن فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِمْ أَن يَفْتِنَهُمْ ۚ وَإِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ لَعَالٍ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ
فَمَآ
famā
But none
ءَامَنَ
āmana
believed
لِمُوسَىٰٓ
limūsā
Musa
إِلَّا
illā
except
ذُرِّيَّةٌ
dhurriyyatun
(the) offspring
مِّن
min
among
قَوْمِهِۦ
qawmihi
his people
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
for
خَوْفٍ
khawfin
fear
مِّن
min
of
فِرْعَوْنَ
fir'ʿawna
Firaun
وَمَلَإِي۟هِمْ
wamala-ihim
and their chiefs
أَن
an
lest
يَفْتِنَهُمْ
yaftinahum
they persecute them
وَإِنَّ
wa-inna
And indeed
فِرْعَوْنَ
fir'ʿawna
Firaun
لَعَالٍ
laʿālin
(was) a tyrant
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the earth
وَإِنَّهُۥ
wa-innahu
and indeed, he
لَمِنَ
lamina
(was) of
ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ
l-mus'rifīna
the ones who commit excesses
But no one believed Moses, except [some] offspring [i.e., youths] among his people, for fear of Pharaoh and his establishment that they would persecute them. And indeed, Pharaoh was haughty within the land, and indeed, he was of the transgressors.

10:84
Ayah 10:84
وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ يَـٰقَوْمِ إِن كُنتُمْ ءَامَنتُم بِٱللَّهِ فَعَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلُوٓا۟ إِن كُنتُم مُّسْلِمِينَ
وَقَالَ
waqāla
And Musa said
مُوسَىٰ
mūsā
And Musa said
يَـٰقَوْمِ
yāqawmi
O my people
إِن
in
If
كُنتُمْ
kuntum
you have
ءَامَنتُم
āmantum
believed
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
فَعَلَيْهِ
faʿalayhi
then on Him
تَوَكَّلُوٓا۟
tawakkalū
put your trust
إِن
in
if
كُنتُم
kuntum
you are
مُّسْلِمِينَ
mus'limīna
Muslims
And Moses said, "O my people, if you have believed in Allāh, then rely upon Him, if you should be Muslims [i.e., submitting to Him]."

10:85
Ayah 10:85
فَقَالُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِّلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
فَقَالُوا۟
faqālū
Then they said
عَلَى
ʿalā
Upon
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
تَوَكَّلْنَا
tawakkalnā
we put our trust
رَبَّنَا
rabbanā
Our Lord
لَا
(Do) not
تَجْعَلْنَا
tajʿalnā
make us
فِتْنَةً
fit'natan
a trial
لِّلْقَوْمِ
lil'qawmi
for the people
ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīna
the wrongdoers
So they said, "Upon Allāh do we rely. Our Lord, make us not [objects of] trial for the wrongdoing people

10:86
Ayah 10:86
وَنَجِّنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
وَنَجِّنَا
wanajjinā
And save us
بِرَحْمَتِكَ
biraḥmatika
by Your Mercy
مِنَ
mina
from
ٱلْقَوْمِ
l-qawmi
the people
ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
l-kāfirīna
the disbelievers
And save us by Your mercy from the disbelieving people."

10:87
Ayah 10:87
وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَأَخِيهِ أَن تَبَوَّءَا لِقَوْمِكُمَا بِمِصْرَ بُيُوتًا وَٱجْعَلُوا۟ بُيُوتَكُمْ قِبْلَةً وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
وَأَوْحَيْنَآ
wa-awḥaynā
And We inspired
إِلَىٰ
ilā
to
مُوسَىٰ
mūsā
Musa
وَأَخِيهِ
wa-akhīhi
and his brother
أَن
an
that
تَبَوَّءَا
tabawwaā
Settle
لِقَوْمِكُمَا
liqawmikumā
your people
بِمِصْرَ
bimiṣ'ra
in Egypt
بُيُوتًا
buyūtan
(in) houses
وَٱجْعَلُوا۟
wa-ij'ʿalū
and make
بُيُوتَكُمْ
buyūtakum
your houses
قِبْلَةً
qib'latan
(as) places of worship
وَأَقِيمُوا۟
wa-aqīmū
and establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
l-ṣalata
the prayer
وَبَشِّرِ
wabashiri
And give glad tidings
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīna
(to) the believers
And We inspired to Moses and his brother, "Settle your people in Egypt in houses and make your houses [facing the] qiblah1 and establish prayer and give good tidings to the believers."

10:88
Ayah 10:88
وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ ءَاتَيْتَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَأَهُۥ زِينَةً وَأَمْوَٰلًا فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا رَبَّنَا لِيُضِلُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِكَ ۖ رَبَّنَا ٱطْمِسْ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ وَٱشْدُدْ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَلَا يُؤْمِنُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ
وَقَالَ
waqāla
And Musa said
مُوسَىٰ
mūsā
And Musa said
رَبَّنَآ
rabbanā
Our Lord
إِنَّكَ
innaka
Indeed, You
ءَاتَيْتَ
ātayta
have given
فِرْعَوْنَ
fir'ʿawna
Firaun
وَمَلَأَهُۥ
wamala-ahu
and his chiefs
زِينَةً
zīnatan
splendor
وَأَمْوَٰلًا
wa-amwālan
and wealth
فِى
in
ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
l-ḥayati
the life
ٱلدُّنْيَا
l-dun'yā
(of) the world
رَبَّنَا
rabbanā
Our Lord
لِيُضِلُّوا۟
liyuḍillū
That they may lead astray
عَن
ʿan
from
سَبِيلِكَ
sabīlika
Your way
رَبَّنَا
rabbanā
Our Lord
ٱطْمِسْ
iṭ'mis
Destroy
عَلَىٰٓ
ʿalā
[on]
أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ
amwālihim
their wealth
وَٱشْدُدْ
wa-ush'dud
and harden
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
[on]
قُلُوبِهِمْ
qulūbihim
their hearts
فَلَا
falā
so (that) not
يُؤْمِنُوا۟
yu'minū
they believe
حَتَّىٰ
ḥattā
until
يَرَوُا۟
yarawū
they see
ٱلْعَذَابَ
l-ʿadhāba
the punishment
ٱلْأَلِيمَ
l-alīma
the painful
And Moses said, "Our Lord, indeed You have given Pharaoh and his establishment splendor and wealth in the worldly life, our Lord, that they may lead [men] astray from Your way. Our Lord, obliterate their wealth and harden their hearts so that they will not believe until they see the painful punishment."

10:89
Ayah 10:89
قَالَ قَدْ أُجِيبَت دَّعْوَتُكُمَا فَٱسْتَقِيمَا وَلَا تَتَّبِعَآنِّ سَبِيلَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
قَالَ
qāla
He said
قَدْ
qad
Verily
أُجِيبَت
ujībat
has been answered
دَّعْوَتُكُمَا
daʿwatukumā
(the) invocation of both of you
فَٱسْتَقِيمَا
fa-is'taqīmā
So you two (keep to the) straight way
وَلَا
walā
And (do) not
تَتَّبِعَآنِّ
tattabiʿānni
follow
سَبِيلَ
sabīla
(the) way
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
(of) those who
لَا
(do) not
يَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūna
know
[Allāh] said, "Your supplication has been answered."1 So remain on a right course and follow not the way of those who do not know."

10:90
Ayah 10:90
۞ وَجَـٰوَزْنَا بِبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱلْبَحْرَ فَأَتْبَعَهُمْ فِرْعَوْنُ وَجُنُودُهُۥ بَغْيًا وَعَدْوًا ۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَدْرَكَهُ ٱلْغَرَقُ قَالَ ءَامَنتُ أَنَّهُۥ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِىٓ ءَامَنَتْ بِهِۦ بَنُوٓا۟ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَأَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ
وَجَـٰوَزْنَا
wajāwaznā
And We took across
بِبَنِىٓ
bibanī
(the) Children
إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
is'rāīla
(of) Israel
ٱلْبَحْرَ
l-baḥra
the sea
فَأَتْبَعَهُمْ
fa-atbaʿahum
and followed them
فِرْعَوْنُ
fir'ʿawnu
Firaun
وَجُنُودُهُۥ
wajunūduhu
and his hosts
بَغْيًا
baghyan
(in) rebellion
وَعَدْوًا
waʿadwan
and enmity
حَتَّىٰٓ
ḥattā
until
إِذَآ
idhā
when
أَدْرَكَهُ
adrakahu
overtook him
ٱلْغَرَقُ
l-gharaqu
the drowning
قَالَ
qāla
he said
ءَامَنتُ
āmantu
I believe
أَنَّهُۥ
annahu
that
لَآ
(there is) no
إِلَـٰهَ
ilāha
god
إِلَّا
illā
except
ٱلَّذِىٓ
alladhī
the One
ءَامَنَتْ
āmanat
in Whom believe
بِهِۦ
bihi
in Whom believe
بَنُوٓا۟
banū
the Children of Israel
إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
is'rāīla
the Children of Israel
وَأَنَا۠
wa-anā
and I am
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ
l-mus'limīna
the Muslims
And We took the Children of Israel across the sea, and Pharaoh and his soldiers pursued them in tyranny and enmity until, when drowning overtook him, he said, "I believe that there is no deity except that in whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am of the Muslims."

10:91
Ayah 10:91
ءَآلْـَٔـٰنَ وَقَدْ عَصَيْتَ قَبْلُ وَكُنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
ءَآلْـَٔـٰنَ
āl'āna
Now
وَقَدْ
waqad
And verily
عَصَيْتَ
ʿaṣayta
you (had) disobeyed
قَبْلُ
qablu
before
وَكُنتَ
wakunta
and you were
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
l-muf'sidīna
the corrupters
Now? And you had disobeyed [Him] before and were of the corrupters?

10:92
Ayah 10:92
فَٱلْيَوْمَ نُنَجِّيكَ بِبَدَنِكَ لِتَكُونَ لِمَنْ خَلْفَكَ ءَايَةً ۚ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ عَنْ ءَايَـٰتِنَا لَغَـٰفِلُونَ
فَٱلْيَوْمَ
fal-yawma
So today
نُنَجِّيكَ
nunajjīka
We will save you
بِبَدَنِكَ
bibadanika
in your body
لِتَكُونَ
litakūna
that you may be
لِمَنْ
liman
for (those) who
خَلْفَكَ
khalfaka
succeed you
ءَايَةً
āyatan
a sign
وَإِنَّ
wa-inna
And indeed
كَثِيرًا
kathīran
many
مِّنَ
mina
among
ٱلنَّاسِ
l-nāsi
the mankind
عَنْ
ʿan
of
ءَايَـٰتِنَا
āyātinā
Our Signs
لَغَـٰفِلُونَ
laghāfilūna
(are) surely heedless
So today We will save you in body1 that you may be to those who succeed you a sign. And indeed, many among the people, of Our signs, are heedless.

10:93
Ayah 10:93
وَلَقَدْ بَوَّأْنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ مُبَوَّأَ صِدْقٍ وَرَزَقْنَـٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِ فَمَا ٱخْتَلَفُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْعِلْمُ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقْضِى بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا۟ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ
وَلَقَدْ
walaqad
And verily
بَوَّأْنَا
bawwanā
We settled
بَنِىٓ
banī
(the) Children
إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
is'rāīla
(of) Israel
مُبَوَّأَ
mubawwa-a
(in) a settlement
صِدْقٍ
ṣid'qin
honorable
وَرَزَقْنَـٰهُم
warazaqnāhum
and We provided them
مِّنَ
mina
with
ٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِ
l-ṭayibāti
the good things
فَمَا
famā
and not
ٱخْتَلَفُوا۟
ikh'talafū
they differ
حَتَّىٰ
ḥattā
until
جَآءَهُمُ
jāahumu
came to them
ٱلْعِلْمُ
l-ʿil'mu
the knowledge
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
رَبَّكَ
rabbaka
your Lord
يَقْضِى
yaqḍī
will judge
بَيْنَهُمْ
baynahum
between them
يَوْمَ
yawma
(on) the Day
ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ
l-qiyāmati
(of) the Resurrection
فِيمَا
fīmā
concerning what
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they used (to)
فِيهِ
fīhi
[in it]
يَخْتَلِفُونَ
yakhtalifūna
differ
And We had certainly settled the Children of Israel in an agreeable settlement and provided them with good things. And they did not differ until [after] knowledge had come to them. Indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ.

10:94
Ayah 10:94
فَإِن كُنتَ فِى شَكٍّ مِّمَّآ أَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ فَسْـَٔلِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَقْرَءُونَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ مِن قَبْلِكَ ۚ لَقَدْ جَآءَكَ ٱلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمُمْتَرِينَ
فَإِن
fa-in
So if
كُنتَ
kunta
you are
فِى
in
شَكٍّ
shakkin
doubt
مِّمَّآ
mimmā
of what
أَنزَلْنَآ
anzalnā
We have revealed
إِلَيْكَ
ilayka
to you
فَسْـَٔلِ
fasali
then ask
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
يَقْرَءُونَ
yaqraūna
(have been) reading
ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ
l-kitāba
the Book
مِن
min
before you
قَبْلِكَ
qablika
before you
لَقَدْ
laqad
Verily
جَآءَكَ
jāaka
has come to you
ٱلْحَقُّ
l-ḥaqu
the truth
مِن
min
from
رَّبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
فَلَا
falā
so (do) not
تَكُونَنَّ
takūnanna
be
مِنَ
mina
among
ٱلْمُمْتَرِينَ
l-mum'tarīna
the doubters
So if you are in doubt, [O Muḥammad], about that which We have revealed to you, then ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters.

10:95
Ayah 10:95
وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ
وَلَا
walā
And (do) not
تَكُونَنَّ
takūnanna
be
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
كَذَّبُوا۟
kadhabū
deny
بِـَٔايَـٰتِ
biāyāti
(the) Signs of Allah
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(the) Signs of Allah
فَتَكُونَ
fatakūna
then you will be
مِنَ
mina
among
ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ
l-khāsirīna
the losers
And never be of those who deny the signs of Allāh and [thus] be among the losers.1

10:96
Ayah 10:96
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ حَقَّتْ عَلَيْهِمْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those [whom]
حَقَّتْ
ḥaqqat
has become due
عَلَيْهِمْ
ʿalayhim
on them
كَلِمَتُ
kalimatu
(the) Word
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
(of) your Lord
لَا
will not
يُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūna
believe
Indeed, those upon whom the word [i.e., decree] of your Lord has come into effect will not believe,

10:97
Ayah 10:97
وَلَوْ جَآءَتْهُمْ كُلُّ ءَايَةٍ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ
وَلَوْ
walaw
Even if
جَآءَتْهُمْ
jāathum
comes to them
كُلُّ
kullu
every
ءَايَةٍ
āyatin
Sign
حَتَّىٰ
ḥattā
until
يَرَوُا۟
yarawū
they see
ٱلْعَذَابَ
l-ʿadhāba
the punishment
ٱلْأَلِيمَ
l-alīma
the painful
Even if every sign should come to them, until they see the painful punishment.

10:98
Ayah 10:98
فَلَوْلَا كَانَتْ قَرْيَةٌ ءَامَنَتْ فَنَفَعَهَآ إِيمَـٰنُهَآ إِلَّا قَوْمَ يُونُسَ لَمَّآ ءَامَنُوا۟ كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْخِزْىِ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَمَتَّعْنَـٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ
فَلَوْلَا
falawlā
So why not
كَانَتْ
kānat
was
قَرْيَةٌ
qaryatun
any town
ءَامَنَتْ
āmanat
that believed
فَنَفَعَهَآ
fanafaʿahā
and benefited it
إِيمَـٰنُهَآ
īmānuhā
its faith
إِلَّا
illā
except
قَوْمَ
qawma
the people
يُونُسَ
yūnusa
(of) Yunus
لَمَّآ
lammā
When
ءَامَنُوا۟
āmanū
they believed
كَشَفْنَا
kashafnā
We removed
عَنْهُمْ
ʿanhum
from them
عَذَابَ
ʿadhāba
(the) punishment
ٱلْخِزْىِ
l-khiz'yi
(of) the disgrace
فِى
in
ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
l-ḥayati
the life
ٱلدُّنْيَا
l-dun'yā
of the world
وَمَتَّعْنَـٰهُمْ
wamattaʿnāhum
and We granted them enjoyment
إِلَىٰ
ilā
for
حِينٍ
ḥīnin
a time
Then has there not been a [single] city that believed so its faith benefited it except the people of Jonah? When they believed, We removed from them the punishment of disgrace in worldly life and gave them enjoyment [i.e., provision] for a time.

10:99
Ayah 10:99
وَلَوْ شَآءَ رَبُّكَ لَـَٔامَنَ مَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ كُلُّهُمْ جَمِيعًا ۚ أَفَأَنتَ تُكْرِهُ ٱلنَّاسَ حَتَّىٰ يَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ
وَلَوْ
walaw
And if
شَآءَ
shāa
(had) willed
رَبُّكَ
rabbuka
your Lord
لَـَٔامَنَ
laāmana
surely, (would) have believed
مَن
man
who
فِى
(are) in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the earth
كُلُّهُمْ
kulluhum
all of them
جَمِيعًا
jamīʿan
together
أَفَأَنتَ
afa-anta
Then, will you
تُكْرِهُ
tuk'rihu
compel
ٱلنَّاسَ
l-nāsa
the mankind
حَتَّىٰ
ḥattā
until
يَكُونُوا۟
yakūnū
they become
مُؤْمِنِينَ
mu'minīna
believers
And had your Lord willed, those on earth would have believed - all of them entirely. Then, [O Muḥammad], would you compel the people in order that they become believers?

10:100
Ayah 10:100
وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفْسٍ أَن تُؤْمِنَ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَيَجْعَلُ ٱلرِّجْسَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ
وَمَا
wamā
And not
كَانَ
kāna
is
لِنَفْسٍ
linafsin
for a soul
أَن
an
to
تُؤْمِنَ
tu'mina
believe
إِلَّا
illā
except
بِإِذْنِ
bi-idh'ni
by (the) permission
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
وَيَجْعَلُ
wayajʿalu
And He will place
ٱلرِّجْسَ
l-rij'sa
the wrath
عَلَى
ʿalā
on
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
لَا
(do) not
يَعْقِلُونَ
yaʿqilūna
use reason
And it is not for a soul [i.e., anyone] to believe except by permission of Allāh, and He will place defilement1 upon those who will not use reason.

10:101
Ayah 10:101
قُلِ ٱنظُرُوا۟ مَاذَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَمَا تُغْنِى ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتُ وَٱلنُّذُرُ عَن قَوْمٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ
قُلِ
quli
Say
ٱنظُرُوا۟
unẓurū
See
مَاذَا
mādhā
what
فِى
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
wal-arḍi
and the earth
وَمَا
wamā
But not
تُغْنِى
tugh'nī
will avail
ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتُ
l-āyātu
the Signs
وَٱلنُّذُرُ
wal-nudhuru
and the warners
عَن
ʿan
to
قَوْمٍ
qawmin
a people
لَّا
(who do) not
يُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūna
believe
Say, "Observe what is in the heavens and the earth." But of no avail will be signs or warners to a people who do not believe.

10:102
Ayah 10:102
فَهَلْ يَنتَظِرُونَ إِلَّا مِثْلَ أَيَّامِ ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوْا۟ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ قُلْ فَٱنتَظِرُوٓا۟ إِنِّى مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْمُنتَظِرِينَ
فَهَلْ
fahal
Then do
يَنتَظِرُونَ
yantaẓirūna
they wait
إِلَّا
illā
except
مِثْلَ
mith'la
like
أَيَّامِ
ayyāmi
the days
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
(of) those who
خَلَوْا۟
khalaw
passed away
مِن
min
before them
قَبْلِهِمْ
qablihim
before them
قُلْ
qul
Say
فَٱنتَظِرُوٓا۟
fa-intaẓirū
Then wait
إِنِّى
innī
indeed, I (am)
مَعَكُم
maʿakum
with you
مِّنَ
mina
among
ٱلْمُنتَظِرِينَ
l-muntaẓirīna
the ones who wait
So do they wait except for like [what occurred in] the days of those who passed on before them? Say, "Then wait; indeed, I am with you among those who wait."

10:103
Ayah 10:103
ثُمَّ نُنَجِّى رُسُلَنَا وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ حَقًّا عَلَيْنَا نُنجِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
نُنَجِّى
nunajjī
We will save
رُسُلَنَا
rusulanā
Our Messengers
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhīna
and those who
ءَامَنُوا۟
āmanū
believe
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhālika
Thus
حَقًّا
ḥaqqan
(it is) an obligation
عَلَيْنَا
ʿalaynā
upon Us
نُنجِ
nunji
(that) We save
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīna
the believers
Then We will save Our messengers and those who have believed. Thus, it is an obligation upon Us that We save the believers.1

10:104
Ayah 10:104
قُلْ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمْ فِى شَكٍّ مِّن دِينِى فَلَآ أَعْبُدُ ٱلَّذِينَ تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَـٰكِنْ أَعْبُدُ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِى يَتَوَفَّىٰكُمْ ۖ وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
قُلْ
qul
Say
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا
yāayyuhā
O mankind
ٱلنَّاسُ
l-nāsu
O mankind
إِن
in
If
كُنتُمْ
kuntum
you are
فِى
in
شَكٍّ
shakkin

فَلَآ
falā
then not
أَعْبُدُ
aʿbudu
I worship
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those whom
تَعْبُدُونَ
taʿbudūna
you worship
مِن
min
besides Allah
دُونِ
dūni
besides Allah
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
besides Allah
وَلَـٰكِنْ
walākin
but
أَعْبُدُ
aʿbudu
I worship
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
the One Who
يَتَوَفَّىٰكُمْ
yatawaffākum
causes you to die
وَأُمِرْتُ
wa-umir'tu
And I am commanded
أَنْ
an
that
أَكُونَ
akūna
I be
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīna
the believers
Say, [O Muḥammad], "O people, if you are in doubt as to my religion - then I do not worship those which you worship besides Allāh; but I worship Allāh, who causes your death. And I have been commanded to be of the believers

10:105
Ayah 10:105
وَأَنْ أَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّينِ حَنِيفًا وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
وَأَنْ
wa-an
And that
أَقِمْ
aqim
Direct
وَجْهَكَ
wajhaka
your face
لِلدِّينِ
lilddīni
to the religion
حَنِيفًا
ḥanīfan
upright
وَلَا
walā
and (do) not
تَكُونَنَّ
takūnanna
be
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
l-mush'rikīna
the polytheists
And [commanded], 'Direct your face [i.e., self] toward the religion, inclining to truth, and never be of those who associate others with Allāh;

10:106
Ayah 10:106
وَلَا تَدْعُ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُكَ وَلَا يَضُرُّكَ ۖ فَإِن فَعَلْتَ فَإِنَّكَ إِذًا مِّنَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
وَلَا
walā
And (do) not
تَدْعُ
tadʿu
invoke
مِن
min
besides Allah
دُونِ
dūni
besides Allah
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
besides Allah
مَا
what
لَا
(will) not
يَنفَعُكَ
yanfaʿuka
benefit you
وَلَا
walā
and not
يَضُرُّكَ
yaḍurruka
harm you
فَإِن
fa-in
But if
فَعَلْتَ
faʿalta
you did so
فَإِنَّكَ
fa-innaka
indeed, you
إِذًا
idhan
then (will be)
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīna
the wrongdoers
And do not invoke1 besides Allāh that which neither benefits you nor harms you, for if you did, then indeed you would be of the wrongdoers.'"2

10:107
Ayah 10:107
وَإِن يَمْسَسْكَ ٱللَّهُ بِضُرٍّ فَلَا كَاشِفَ لَهُۥٓ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ وَإِن يُرِدْكَ بِخَيْرٍ فَلَا رَآدَّ لِفَضْلِهِۦ ۚ يُصِيبُ بِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
وَإِن
wa-in
And if
يَمْسَسْكَ
yamsaska
Allah touches you
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah touches you
بِضُرٍّ
biḍurrin
with adversity
فَلَا
falā
(there is) no
كَاشِفَ
kāshifa
remover
لَهُۥٓ
lahu
of it
إِلَّا
illā
except
هُوَ
huwa
Him
وَإِن
wa-in
and if
يُرِدْكَ
yurid'ka
He intends for you
بِخَيْرٍ
bikhayrin
any good
فَلَا
falā
then (there is) no
رَآدَّ
rādda
repeller
لِفَضْلِهِۦ
lifaḍlihi
(of) His Bounty
يُصِيبُ
yuṣību
He causes it to reach
بِهِۦ
bihi
He causes it to reach
مَن
man
whom
يَشَآءُ
yashāu
He wills
مِنْ
min
of
عِبَادِهِۦ
ʿibādihi
His slaves
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
And He
ٱلْغَفُورُ
l-ghafūru
(is) the Oft-Forgiving
ٱلرَّحِيمُ
l-raḥīmu
the Most Merciful
And if Allāh should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him; and if He intends for you good, then there is no repeller of His bounty. He causes it to reach whom He wills of His servants. And He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.

10:108
Ayah 10:108
قُلْ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ قَدْ جَآءَكُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ ۖ فَمَنِ ٱهْتَدَىٰ فَإِنَّمَا يَهْتَدِى لِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَإِنَّمَا يَضِلُّ عَلَيْهَا ۖ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ عَلَيْكُم بِوَكِيلٍ
قُلْ
qul
Say
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا
yāayyuhā
O mankind
ٱلنَّاسُ
l-nāsu
O mankind
قَدْ
qad
Verily
جَآءَكُمُ
jāakumu
has come to you
ٱلْحَقُّ
l-ḥaqu
the truth
مِن
min
from
رَّبِّكُمْ
rabbikum
your Lord
فَمَنِ
famani
So whoever
ٱهْتَدَىٰ
ih'tadā
(is) guided
فَإِنَّمَا
fa-innamā
then only
يَهْتَدِى
yahtadī
(he is) guided
لِنَفْسِهِۦ
linafsihi
for his soul
وَمَن
waman
and whoever
ضَلَّ
ḍalla
goes astray
فَإِنَّمَا
fa-innamā
then only
يَضِلُّ
yaḍillu
he strays
عَلَيْهَا
ʿalayhā
against it
وَمَآ
wamā
And I am not
أَنَا۠
anā
And I am not
عَلَيْكُم
ʿalaykum
over you
بِوَكِيلٍ
biwakīlin
a guardian
Say, "O mankind, the truth has come to you from your Lord, so whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] his soul, and whoever goes astray only goes astray [in violation] against it. And I am not over you a manager."

10:109
Ayah 10:109
وَٱتَّبِعْ مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَيْكَ وَٱصْبِرْ حَتَّىٰ يَحْكُمَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ ٱلْحَـٰكِمِينَ
وَٱتَّبِعْ
wa-ittabiʿ
And follow
مَا
what
يُوحَىٰٓ
yūḥā
is revealed
إِلَيْكَ
ilayka
to you
وَٱصْبِرْ
wa-iṣ'bir
and be patient
حَتَّىٰ
ḥattā
until
يَحْكُمَ
yaḥkuma
Allah gives judgment
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah gives judgment
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
And He
خَيْرُ
khayru
(is) the Best
ٱلْحَـٰكِمِينَ
l-ḥākimīna
(of) the Judges
And follow what is revealed to you, [O Muḥammad], and be patient until Allāh will judge. And He is the best of judges.
