100:1
Ayah 100:1
وَٱلْعَـٰدِيَـٰتِ ضَبْحًا
وَٱلْعَـٰدِيَـٰتِ
wal-ʿādiyāti
By the racers
ضَبْحًا
ḍabḥan
panting
By the racers, panting,1
— The Clear Quran, Dr. Mustafa Khattab
100:2
Ayah 100:2
فَٱلْمُورِيَـٰتِ قَدْحًا
فَٱلْمُورِيَـٰتِ
fal-mūriyāti
And the producers of sparks
قَدْحًا
qadḥan
striking
And the producers of sparks [when] striking1

100:3
Ayah 100:3
فَٱلْمُغِيرَٰتِ صُبْحًا
فَٱلْمُغِيرَٰتِ
fal-mughīrāti
And the chargers
صُبْحًا
ṣub'ḥan
(at) dawn
And the chargers at dawn,1

100:4
Ayah 100:4
فَأَثَرْنَ بِهِۦ نَقْعًا
فَأَثَرْنَ
fa-atharna
Then raise
بِهِۦ
bihi
thereby
نَقْعًا
naqʿan
dust
Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust,

100:5
Ayah 100:5
فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِۦ جَمْعًا
فَوَسَطْنَ
fawasaṭna
Then penetrate (in the) center
بِهِۦ
bihi
thereby
جَمْعًا
jamʿan
collectively
Arriving thereby in the center1 collectively,

100:6
Ayah 100:6
إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لِرَبِّهِۦ لَكَنُودٌ
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ
l-insāna
mankind
لِرَبِّهِۦ
lirabbihi
to his Lord
لَكَنُودٌ
lakanūdun
(is) surely ungrateful
Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful.

100:7
Ayah 100:7
وَإِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٌ
وَإِنَّهُۥ
wa-innahu
And indeed, he
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
on
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
that
لَشَهِيدٌ
lashahīdun
surely (is) a witness
And indeed, he is to that a witness.1

100:8
Ayah 100:8
وَإِنَّهُۥ لِحُبِّ ٱلْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ
وَإِنَّهُۥ
wa-innahu
And indeed he
لِحُبِّ
liḥubbi
in (the) love
ٱلْخَيْرِ
l-khayri
(of) wealth
لَشَدِيدٌ
lashadīdun
(is) surely intense
And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense.

100:9
Ayah 100:9
۞ أَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ إِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِى ٱلْقُبُورِ
أَفَلَا
afalā
But does not
يَعْلَمُ
yaʿlamu
he know
إِذَا
idhā
when
بُعْثِرَ
buʿ'thira
will be scattered
مَا
mā
what
فِى
fī
(is) in
ٱلْقُبُورِ
l-qubūri
the graves
But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered

100:10
Ayah 100:10
وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِى ٱلصُّدُورِ
وَحُصِّلَ
waḥuṣṣila
And is made apparent
مَا
mā
what
فِى
fī
(is) in
ٱلصُّدُورِ
l-ṣudūri
the breasts
And that within the breasts is obtained,1

100:11
Ayah 100:11
إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّخَبِيرٌۢ
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
رَبَّهُم
rabbahum
their Lord
بِهِمْ
bihim
about them
يَوْمَئِذٍ
yawma-idhin
that Day
لَّخَبِيرٌۢ
lakhabīrun
(is) surely All-Aware
Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Aware.1
