25:1
Ayah 25:1
تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِى نَزَّلَ ٱلْفُرْقَانَ عَلَىٰ عَبْدِهِۦ لِيَكُونَ لِلْعَـٰلَمِينَ نَذِيرًا
تَبَارَكَ
tabāraka
Blessed is He
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
Who
نَزَّلَ
nazzala
sent down
ٱلْفُرْقَانَ
l-fur'qāna
the Criterion
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
upon
عَبْدِهِۦ
ʿabdihi
His slave
لِيَكُونَ
liyakūna
that he may be
لِلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
lil'ʿālamīna
to the worlds
نَذِيرًا
nadhīran
a warner
Blessed is He who sent down the Criterion upon His Servant that he may be to the worlds a warner -

25:2
Ayah 25:2
ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ شَرِيكٌ فِى ٱلْمُلْكِ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ فَقَدَّرَهُۥ تَقْدِيرًا
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
The One Who
لَهُۥ
lahu
to Him (belongs)
مُلْكُ
mul'ku
(the) dominion
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti
(of) the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
wal-arḍi
and the earth
وَلَمْ
walam
and not
يَتَّخِذْ
yattakhidh
He has taken
وَلَدًا
waladan
a son
وَلَمْ
walam
and not
يَكُن
yakun
He has
لَّهُۥ
lahu
for Him
شَرِيكٌ
sharīkun
a partner
فِى
in
ٱلْمُلْكِ
l-mul'ki
the dominion
وَخَلَقَ
wakhalaqa
and He (has) created
كُلَّ
kulla
every
شَىْءٍ
shayin
thing
فَقَدَّرَهُۥ
faqaddarahu
and determined it
تَقْدِيرًا
taqdīran
(with) determination
He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and who has not taken a son and has not had a partner in dominion and has created each thing and determined it with [precise] determination.

25:3
Ayah 25:3
وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ ءَالِهَةً لَّا يَخْلُقُونَ شَيْـًٔا وَهُمْ يُخْلَقُونَ وَلَا يَمْلِكُونَ لِأَنفُسِهِمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا وَلَا يَمْلِكُونَ مَوْتًا وَلَا حَيَوٰةً وَلَا نُشُورًا
وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟
wa-ittakhadhū
Yet they have taken
مِن
min
besides Him
دُونِهِۦٓ
dūnihi
besides Him
ءَالِهَةً
ālihatan
gods
لَّا
not
يَخْلُقُونَ
yakhluqūna
they create
شَيْـًٔا
shayan
anything
وَهُمْ
wahum
while they
يُخْلَقُونَ
yukh'laqūna
are created
وَلَا
walā
and not
يَمْلِكُونَ
yamlikūna
they possess
لِأَنفُسِهِمْ
li-anfusihim
for themselves
ضَرًّا
ḍarran
any harm
وَلَا
walā
and not
نَفْعًا
nafʿan
any benefit
وَلَا
walā
and not
يَمْلِكُونَ
yamlikūna
they control
مَوْتًا
mawtan
death
وَلَا
walā
and not
حَيَوٰةً
ḥayatan
life
وَلَا
walā
and not
نُشُورًا
nushūran
resurrection
But they have taken besides Him gods which create nothing, while they are created, and possess not for themselves any harm or benefit and possess not [power to cause] death or life or resurrection.

25:4
Ayah 25:4
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَـٰذَآ إِلَّآ إِفْكٌ ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ وَأَعَانَهُۥ عَلَيْهِ قَوْمٌ ءَاخَرُونَ ۖ فَقَدْ جَآءُو ظُلْمًا وَزُورًا
وَقَالَ
waqāla
And say
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
كَفَرُوٓا۟
kafarū
disbelieve
إِنْ
in
Not
هَـٰذَآ
hādhā
this
إِلَّآ
illā
(is) but
إِفْكٌ
if'kun
a lie
ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ
if'tarāhu
he invented it
وَأَعَانَهُۥ
wa-aʿānahu
and helped him
عَلَيْهِ
ʿalayhi
at it
قَوْمٌ
qawmun
people
ءَاخَرُونَ
ākharūna
other
فَقَدْ
faqad
But verily
جَآءُو
jāū
they (have) produced
ظُلْمًا
ẓul'man
an injustice
وَزُورًا
wazūran
and a lie
And those who disbelieve say, "This [Qur’ān] is not except a falsehood he invented, and another people assisted him in it." But they have committed an injustice and a lie.

25:5
Ayah 25:5
وَقَالُوٓا۟ أَسَـٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ٱكْتَتَبَهَا فَهِىَ تُمْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا
وَقَالُوٓا۟
waqālū
And they say
أَسَـٰطِيرُ
asāṭīru
Tales
ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
l-awalīna
(of) the former people
ٱكْتَتَبَهَا
ik'tatabahā
which he has had written
فَهِىَ
fahiya
and they
تُمْلَىٰ
tum'lā
are dictated
عَلَيْهِ
ʿalayhi
to him
بُكْرَةً
buk'ratan
morning
وَأَصِيلًا
wa-aṣīlan
and evening
And they say, "Legends of the former peoples which he has written down, and they are dictated to him morning and afternoon."

25:6
Ayah 25:6
قُلْ أَنزَلَهُ ٱلَّذِى يَعْلَمُ ٱلسِّرَّ فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا
قُلْ
qul
Say
أَنزَلَهُ
anzalahu
Has sent it down
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
the One Who
يَعْلَمُ
yaʿlamu
knows
ٱلسِّرَّ
l-sira
the secret
فِى
in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
wal-arḍi
and the earth
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed, He
كَانَ
kāna
is
غَفُورًا
ghafūran
Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمًا
raḥīman
Most Merciful
Say, [O Muḥammad], "It has been revealed by He who knows [every] secret within the heavens and the earth. Indeed, He is ever Forgiving and Merciful."

25:7
Ayah 25:7
وَقَالُوا۟ مَالِ هَـٰذَا ٱلرَّسُولِ يَأْكُلُ ٱلطَّعَامَ وَيَمْشِى فِى ٱلْأَسْوَاقِ ۙ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مَلَكٌ فَيَكُونَ مَعَهُۥ نَذِيرًا
وَقَالُوا۟
waqālū
And they say
مَالِ
māli
Why does
هَـٰذَا
hādhā
this
ٱلرَّسُولِ
l-rasūli
Messenger
يَأْكُلُ
yakulu
eat
ٱلطَّعَامَ
l-ṭaʿāma
[the] food
وَيَمْشِى
wayamshī
and walk
فِى
in
ٱلْأَسْوَاقِ
l-aswāqi
the markets
لَوْلَآ
lawlā
Why not
أُنزِلَ
unzila
is sent down
إِلَيْهِ
ilayhi
to him
مَلَكٌ
malakun
an Angel
فَيَكُونَ
fayakūna
then he be
مَعَهُۥ
maʿahu
with him
نَذِيرًا
nadhīran
a warner
And they say, "What is this messenger that eats food and walks in the markets? Why was there not sent down to him an angel so he would be with him a warner?

25:8
Ayah 25:8
أَوْ يُلْقَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِ كَنزٌ أَوْ تَكُونُ لَهُۥ جَنَّةٌ يَأْكُلُ مِنْهَا ۚ وَقَالَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ إِن تَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا رَجُلًا مَّسْحُورًا
أَوْ
aw
Or
يُلْقَىٰٓ
yul'qā
is delivered
إِلَيْهِ
ilayhi
to him
كَنزٌ
kanzun
a treasure
أَوْ
aw
or
تَكُونُ
takūnu
is
لَهُۥ
lahu
for him
جَنَّةٌ
jannatun
a garden
يَأْكُلُ
yakulu
he may eat
مِنْهَا
min'hā
from it
وَقَالَ
waqāla
And say
ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ
l-ẓālimūna
the wrongdoers
إِن
in
Not
تَتَّبِعُونَ
tattabiʿūna
you follow
إِلَّا
illā
but
رَجُلًا
rajulan
a man
مَّسْحُورًا
masḥūran
bewitched
Or [why is not] a treasure presented to him [from heaven], or does he [not] have a garden from which he eats?" And the wrongdoers say, "You follow not but a man affected by magic."

25:9
Ayah 25:9
ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ ضَرَبُوا۟ لَكَ ٱلْأَمْثَـٰلَ فَضَلُّوا۟ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَبِيلًا
ٱنظُرْ
unẓur
See
كَيْفَ
kayfa
how
ضَرَبُوا۟
ḍarabū
they set forth
لَكَ
laka
for you
ٱلْأَمْثَـٰلَ
l-amthāla
the similitudes
فَضَلُّوا۟
faḍallū
but they have gone astray
فَلَا
falā
so not
يَسْتَطِيعُونَ
yastaṭīʿūna
they are able (to find)
سَبِيلًا
sabīlan
a way
Look how they strike for you comparisons;1 but they have strayed, so they cannot [find] a way.

25:10
Ayah 25:10
تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِىٓ إِن شَآءَ جَعَلَ لَكَ خَيْرًا مِّن ذَٰلِكَ جَنَّـٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ وَيَجْعَل لَّكَ قُصُورًۢا
تَبَارَكَ
tabāraka
Blessed is He
ٱلَّذِىٓ
alladhī
Who
إِن
in
if
شَآءَ
shāa
He willed
جَعَلَ
jaʿala
(could have) made
لَكَ
laka
for you
خَيْرًا
khayran
better
مِّن
min
than
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
that
جَنَّـٰتٍ
jannātin
gardens
تَجْرِى
tajrī
flow
مِن
min
from
تَحْتِهَا
taḥtihā
underneath it
ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ
l-anhāru
the rivers
وَيَجْعَل
wayajʿal
and He (could) make
لَّكَ
laka
for you
قُصُورًۢا
quṣūran
palaces
Blessed is He who, if He willed, could have made for you [something] better than that - gardens beneath which rivers flow - and could make for you palaces.

25:11
Ayah 25:11
بَلْ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِٱلسَّاعَةِ ۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِمَن كَذَّبَ بِٱلسَّاعَةِ سَعِيرًا
بَلْ
bal
Nay
كَذَّبُوا۟
kadhabū
they deny
بِٱلسَّاعَةِ
bil-sāʿati
the Hour
وَأَعْتَدْنَا
wa-aʿtadnā
and We have prepared
لِمَن
liman
for (those) who
كَذَّبَ
kadhaba
deny
بِٱلسَّاعَةِ
bil-sāʿati
the Hour
سَعِيرًا
saʿīran
a Blazing Fire
But they have denied the Hour, and We have prepared for those who deny the Hour a Blaze.

25:12
Ayah 25:12
إِذَا رَأَتْهُم مِّن مَّكَانٍۭ بَعِيدٍ سَمِعُوا۟ لَهَا تَغَيُّظًا وَزَفِيرًا
إِذَا
idhā
When
رَأَتْهُم
ra-athum
it sees them
مِّن
min
from
مَّكَانٍۭ
makānin
a place
بَعِيدٍ
baʿīdin
far
سَمِعُوا۟
samiʿū
they will hear
لَهَا
lahā
its
تَغَيُّظًا
taghayyuẓan
raging
وَزَفِيرًا
wazafīran
and roaring
When it [i.e., the Hellfire] sees them from a distant place, they will hear its fury and roaring.

25:13
Ayah 25:13
وَإِذَآ أُلْقُوا۟ مِنْهَا مَكَانًا ضَيِّقًا مُّقَرَّنِينَ دَعَوْا۟ هُنَالِكَ ثُبُورًا
وَإِذَآ
wa-idhā
And when
أُلْقُوا۟
ul'qū
they are thrown
مِنْهَا
min'hā
thereof
مَكَانًا
makānan
(in) a place
ضَيِّقًا
ḍayyiqan
narrow
مُّقَرَّنِينَ
muqarranīna
bound in chains
دَعَوْا۟
daʿaw
they will call
هُنَالِكَ
hunālika
there
ثُبُورًا
thubūran
(for) destruction
And when they are thrown into a narrow place therein bound in chains, they will cry out thereupon for destruction.

25:14
Ayah 25:14
لَّا تَدْعُوا۟ ٱلْيَوْمَ ثُبُورًا وَٰحِدًا وَٱدْعُوا۟ ثُبُورًا كَثِيرًا
لَّا
(Do) not
تَدْعُوا۟
tadʿū
call
ٱلْيَوْمَ
l-yawma
this day
ثُبُورًا
thubūran
(for) destruction
وَٰحِدًا
wāḥidan
one
وَٱدْعُوا۟
wa-id'ʿū
but call
ثُبُورًا
thubūran
(for) destructions
كَثِيرًا
kathīran
many
[They will be told], "Do not cry this Day for one destruction but cry for much destruction."

25:15
Ayah 25:15
قُلْ أَذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ أَمْ جَنَّةُ ٱلْخُلْدِ ٱلَّتِى وُعِدَ ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ ۚ كَانَتْ لَهُمْ جَزَآءً وَمَصِيرًا
قُلْ
qul
Say
أَذَٰلِكَ
adhālika
Is that
خَيْرٌ
khayrun
better
أَمْ
am
or
جَنَّةُ
jannatu
Garden
ٱلْخُلْدِ
l-khul'di
(of) Eternity
ٱلَّتِى
allatī
which
وُعِدَ
wuʿida
is promised
ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ
l-mutaqūna
(to) the righteous
كَانَتْ
kānat
It will be
لَهُمْ
lahum
for them
جَزَآءً
jazāan
a reward
وَمَصِيرًا
wamaṣīran
and destination
Say, "Is that better or the Garden of Eternity which is promised to the righteous? It will be for them a reward and destination.

25:16
Ayah 25:16
لَّهُمْ فِيهَا مَا يَشَآءُونَ خَـٰلِدِينَ ۚ كَانَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ وَعْدًا مَّسْـُٔولًا
لَّهُمْ
lahum
For them
فِيهَا
fīhā
therein
مَا
(is) whatever
يَشَآءُونَ
yashāūna
they wish
خَـٰلِدِينَ
khālidīna
they will abide forever
كَانَ
kāna
It is
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
on
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
وَعْدًا
waʿdan
a promise
مَّسْـُٔولًا
masūlan
requested
For them therein is whatever they wish, [while] abiding eternally. It is ever upon your Lord a promise [worthy to be] requested.1

25:17
Ayah 25:17
وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَيَقُولُ ءَأَنتُمْ أَضْلَلْتُمْ عِبَادِى هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ أَمْ هُمْ ضَلُّوا۟ ٱلسَّبِيلَ
وَيَوْمَ
wayawma
And (the) Day
يَحْشُرُهُمْ
yaḥshuruhum
He will gather them
وَمَا
wamā
and what
يَعْبُدُونَ
yaʿbudūna
they worship
مِن
min
besides Allah
دُونِ
dūni
besides Allah
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
besides Allah
فَيَقُولُ
fayaqūlu
and He will say
ءَأَنتُمْ
a-antum
Did you
أَضْلَلْتُمْ
aḍlaltum
[you] mislead
عِبَادِى
ʿibādī
My slaves
هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ
hāulāi
these
أَمْ
am
or
هُمْ
hum
they
ضَلُّوا۟
ḍallū
went astray
ٱلسَّبِيلَ
l-sabīla
(from) the way
And [mention] the Day He will gather them and that which they worship besides Allāh and will say, "Did you mislead these, My servants, or did they [themselves] stray from the way?"

25:18
Ayah 25:18
قَالُوا۟ سُبْحَـٰنَكَ مَا كَانَ يَنۢبَغِى لَنَآ أَن نَّتَّخِذَ مِن دُونِكَ مِنْ أَوْلِيَآءَ وَلَـٰكِن مَّتَّعْتَهُمْ وَءَابَآءَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ نَسُوا۟ ٱلذِّكْرَ وَكَانُوا۟ قَوْمًۢا بُورًا
قَالُوا۟
qālū
They say
سُبْحَـٰنَكَ
sub'ḥānaka
Glory be to You
مَا
Not
كَانَ
kāna
it was proper
يَنۢبَغِى
yanbaghī
it was proper
لَنَآ
lanā
for us
أَن
an
that
نَّتَّخِذَ
nattakhidha
we take
مِن
min
besides You
دُونِكَ
dūnika
besides You
مِنْ
min
any
أَوْلِيَآءَ
awliyāa
protectors
وَلَـٰكِن
walākin
But
مَّتَّعْتَهُمْ
mattaʿtahum
You gave them comforts
وَءَابَآءَهُمْ
waābāahum
and their forefathers
حَتَّىٰ
ḥattā
until
نَسُوا۟
nasū
they forgot
ٱلذِّكْرَ
l-dhik'ra
the Message
وَكَانُوا۟
wakānū
and became
قَوْمًۢا
qawman
a people
بُورًا
būran
ruined
They will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for us to take besides You any allies [i.e., protectors]. But You provided comforts for them and their fathers until they forgot the message and became a people ruined."

25:19
Ayah 25:19
فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوكُم بِمَا تَقُولُونَ فَمَا تَسْتَطِيعُونَ صَرْفًا وَلَا نَصْرًا ۚ وَمَن يَظْلِم مِّنكُمْ نُذِقْهُ عَذَابًا كَبِيرًا
فَقَدْ
faqad
So verily
كَذَّبُوكُم
kadhabūkum
they deny you
بِمَا
bimā
in what
تَقُولُونَ
taqūlūna
you say
فَمَا
famā
so not
تَسْتَطِيعُونَ
tastaṭīʿūna
you are able
صَرْفًا
ṣarfan
(to) avert
وَلَا
walā
and not
نَصْرًا
naṣran
(to) help
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يَظْلِم
yaẓlim
does wrong
مِّنكُمْ
minkum
among you
نُذِقْهُ
nudhiq'hu
We will make him taste
عَذَابًا
ʿadhāban
a punishment
كَبِيرًا
kabīran
great
So they will deny you, [disbelievers], in what you say,1 and you cannot avert [punishment] or [find] help. And whoever commits injustice2 among you - We will make him taste a great punishment.

25:20
Ayah 25:20
وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلَّآ إِنَّهُمْ لَيَأْكُلُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ وَيَمْشُونَ فِى ٱلْأَسْوَاقِ ۗ وَجَعَلْنَا بَعْضَكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ فِتْنَةً أَتَصْبِرُونَ ۗ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ بَصِيرًا
وَمَآ
wamā
And not
أَرْسَلْنَا
arsalnā
We sent
قَبْلَكَ
qablaka
before you
مِنَ
mina
any
ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
l-mur'salīna
Messengers
إِلَّآ
illā
but
إِنَّهُمْ
innahum
indeed, they
لَيَأْكُلُونَ
layakulūna
[surely] ate
ٱلطَّعَامَ
l-ṭaʿāma
food
وَيَمْشُونَ
wayamshūna
and walked
فِى
in
ٱلْأَسْوَاقِ
l-aswāqi
the markets
وَجَعَلْنَا
wajaʿalnā
And We have made
بَعْضَكُمْ
baʿḍakum
some of you
لِبَعْضٍ
libaʿḍin
for others
فِتْنَةً
fit'natan
a trial
أَتَصْبِرُونَ
ataṣbirūna
will you have patience
وَكَانَ
wakāna
And is
رَبُّكَ
rabbuka
your Lord
بَصِيرًا
baṣīran
All-Seer
And We did not send before you, [O Muḥammad], any of the messengers except that they ate food and walked in the markets. And We have made some of you [people] as trial for others - will you have patience? And ever is your Lord, Seeing.

25:21
Ayah 25:21
۞ وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ أَوْ نَرَىٰ رَبَّنَا ۗ لَقَدِ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَعَتَوْ عُتُوًّا كَبِيرًا
وَقَالَ
waqāla
And said
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
لَا
(do) not
يَرْجُونَ
yarjūna
expect
لِقَآءَنَا
liqāanā
(the) meeting with Us
لَوْلَآ
lawlā
Why not
أُنزِلَ
unzila
are sent down
عَلَيْنَا
ʿalaynā
to us
ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ
l-malāikatu
the Angels
أَوْ
aw
or
نَرَىٰ
narā
we see
رَبَّنَا
rabbanā
our Lord
لَقَدِ
laqadi
Indeed
ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟
is'takbarū
they have become arrogant
فِىٓ
within
أَنفُسِهِمْ
anfusihim
themselves
وَعَتَوْ
waʿataw
and (become) insolent
عُتُوًّا
ʿutuwwan
(with) insolence
كَبِيرًا
kabīran
great
And those who do not expect the meeting with Us say, "Why were not angels sent down to us, or [why] do we [not] see our Lord?" They have certainly become arrogant within themselves1 and [become] insolent with great insolence.

25:22
Ayah 25:22
يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ لَا بُشْرَىٰ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ وَيَقُولُونَ حِجْرًا مَّحْجُورًا
يَوْمَ
yawma
(The) Day
يَرَوْنَ
yarawna
they see
ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ
l-malāikata
the Angels
لَا
no
بُشْرَىٰ
bush'rā
glad tidings
يَوْمَئِذٍ
yawma-idhin
(will be) that Day
لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ
lil'muj'rimīna
for the criminals
وَيَقُولُونَ
wayaqūlūna
and they will say
حِجْرًا
ḥij'ran
A partition
مَّحْجُورًا
maḥjūran
forbidden
The day they see the angels1 - no good tidings will there be that day for the criminals, and [the angels] will say, "Prevented and inaccessible."2

25:23
Ayah 25:23
وَقَدِمْنَآ إِلَىٰ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ مِنْ عَمَلٍ فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ هَبَآءً مَّنثُورًا
وَقَدِمْنَآ
waqadim'nā
And We will proceed
إِلَىٰ
ilā
to
مَا
whatever
عَمِلُوا۟
ʿamilū
they did
مِنْ
min
of
عَمَلٍ
ʿamalin
(the) deed(s)
فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ
fajaʿalnāhu
and We will make them
هَبَآءً
habāan
(as) dust
مَّنثُورًا
manthūran
dispersed
And We will approach [i.e., regard]1 what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed.

25:24
Ayah 25:24
أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَيْرٌ مُّسْتَقَرًّا وَأَحْسَنُ مَقِيلًا
أَصْحَـٰبُ
aṣḥābu
(The) companions
ٱلْجَنَّةِ
l-janati
(of) Paradise
يَوْمَئِذٍ
yawma-idhin
that Day
خَيْرٌ
khayrun
(will be in) a better
مُّسْتَقَرًّا
mus'taqarran
abode
وَأَحْسَنُ
wa-aḥsanu
and a better
مَقِيلًا
maqīlan
resting-place
The companions of Paradise, that Day, are [in] a better settlement and better resting place.

25:25
Ayah 25:25
وَيَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ بِٱلْغَمَـٰمِ وَنُزِّلَ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ تَنزِيلًا
وَيَوْمَ
wayawma
And (the) Day
تَشَقَّقُ
tashaqqaqu
will split open
ٱلسَّمَآءُ
l-samāu
the heavens
بِٱلْغَمَـٰمِ
bil-ghamāmi
with the clouds
وَنُزِّلَ
wanuzzila
and (will be) sent down
ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ
l-malāikatu
the Angels
تَنزِيلًا
tanzīlan
descending
And [mention] the Day when the heaven will split open with [emerging] clouds,1 and the angels will be sent down in successive descent.

25:26
Ayah 25:26
ٱلْمُلْكُ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْحَقُّ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ۚ وَكَانَ يَوْمًا عَلَى ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ عَسِيرًا
ٱلْمُلْكُ
al-mul'ku
The Sovereignty
يَوْمَئِذٍ
yawma-idhin
that Day
ٱلْحَقُّ
l-ḥaqu
(will be) truly
لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ
lilrraḥmāni
for the Most Gracious
وَكَانَ
wakāna
And (it will) be
يَوْمًا
yawman
a Day
عَلَى
ʿalā
for
ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
l-kāfirīna
the disbelievers
عَسِيرًا
ʿasīran
difficult
True sovereignty, that Day, is for the Most Merciful. And it will be upon the disbelievers a difficult Day.

25:27
Ayah 25:27
وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ ٱلظَّالِمُ عَلَىٰ يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يَـٰلَيْتَنِى ٱتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ ٱلرَّسُولِ سَبِيلًا
وَيَوْمَ
wayawma
And (the) Day
يَعَضُّ
yaʿaḍḍu
will bite
ٱلظَّالِمُ
l-ẓālimu
the wrongdoer
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
[on]
يَدَيْهِ
yadayhi
his hands
يَقُولُ
yaqūlu
he will say
يَـٰلَيْتَنِى
yālaytanī
O I wish
ٱتَّخَذْتُ
ittakhadhtu
I had taken
مَعَ
maʿa
with
ٱلرَّسُولِ
l-rasūli
the Messenger
سَبِيلًا
sabīlan
a way
And the Day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands [in regret] he will say, "Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way.1

25:28
Ayah 25:28
يَـٰوَيْلَتَىٰ لَيْتَنِى لَمْ أَتَّخِذْ فُلَانًا خَلِيلًا
يَـٰوَيْلَتَىٰ
yāwaylatā
O woe to me
لَيْتَنِى
laytanī
I wish
لَمْ
lam
not
أَتَّخِذْ
attakhidh
I had taken
فُلَانًا
fulānan
that one
خَلِيلًا
khalīlan
(as) a friend
Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one1 as a friend.

25:29
Ayah 25:29
لَّقَدْ أَضَلَّنِى عَنِ ٱلذِّكْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَآءَنِى ۗ وَكَانَ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ لِلْإِنسَـٰنِ خَذُولًا
لَّقَدْ
laqad
Verily
أَضَلَّنِى
aḍallanī
he led me astray
عَنِ
ʿani
from
ٱلذِّكْرِ
l-dhik'ri
the Reminder
بَعْدَ
baʿda
after
إِذْ
idh
[when]
جَآءَنِى
jāanī
it (had) come to me
وَكَانَ
wakāna
And is
ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ
l-shayṭānu
the Shaitaan
لِلْإِنسَـٰنِ
lil'insāni
to the man
خَذُولًا
khadhūlan
a deserter
He led me away from the remembrance1 after it had come to me. And ever is Satan, to man, a deserter."2

25:30
Ayah 25:30
وَقَالَ ٱلرَّسُولُ يَـٰرَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِى ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ هَـٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ مَهْجُورًا
وَقَالَ
waqāla
And said
ٱلرَّسُولُ
l-rasūlu
the Messenger
يَـٰرَبِّ
yārabbi
O my Lord
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
قَوْمِى
qawmī
my people
ٱتَّخَذُوا۟
ittakhadhū
took
هَـٰذَا
hādhā
this
ٱلْقُرْءَانَ
l-qur'āna
the Quran
مَهْجُورًا
mahjūran
(as) a forsaken thing
And the Messenger has said, "O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur’ān as [a thing] abandoned."1

25:31
Ayah 25:31
وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِىٍّ عَدُوًّا مِّنَ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِرَبِّكَ هَادِيًا وَنَصِيرًا
وَكَذَٰلِكَ
wakadhālika
And thus
جَعَلْنَا
jaʿalnā
We have made
لِكُلِّ
likulli
for every
نَبِىٍّ
nabiyyin
Prophet
عَدُوًّا
ʿaduwwan
an enemy
مِّنَ
mina
among
ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
l-muj'rimīna
the criminals
وَكَفَىٰ
wakafā
But sufficient is
بِرَبِّكَ
birabbika
your Lord
هَادِيًا
hādiyan
(as) a Guide
وَنَصِيرًا
wanaṣīran
and a Helper
And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals. But sufficient is your Lord as a guide and a helper.

25:32
Ayah 25:32
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ جُمْلَةً وَٰحِدَةً ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ لِنُثَبِّتَ بِهِۦ فُؤَادَكَ ۖ وَرَتَّلْنَـٰهُ تَرْتِيلًا
وَقَالَ
waqāla
And said
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
كَفَرُوا۟
kafarū
disbelieve
لَوْلَا
lawlā
Why not
نُزِّلَ
nuzzila
was revealed
عَلَيْهِ
ʿalayhi
to him
ٱلْقُرْءَانُ
l-qur'ānu
the Quran
جُمْلَةً
jum'latan
all at once
وَٰحِدَةً
wāḥidatan
all at once
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhālika
Thus
لِنُثَبِّتَ
linuthabbita
that We may strengthen
بِهِۦ
bihi
thereby
فُؤَادَكَ
fuādaka
your heart
وَرَتَّلْنَـٰهُ
warattalnāhu
and We have recited it
تَرْتِيلًا
tartīlan
(with distinct) recitation
And those who disbelieve say, "Why was the Qur’ān not revealed to him all at once?" Thus [it is] that We may strengthen thereby your heart. And We have spaced it distinctly.1

25:33
Ayah 25:33
وَلَا يَأْتُونَكَ بِمَثَلٍ إِلَّا جِئْنَـٰكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَأَحْسَنَ تَفْسِيرًا
وَلَا
walā
And not
يَأْتُونَكَ
yatūnaka
they come to you
بِمَثَلٍ
bimathalin
with an example
إِلَّا
illā
but
جِئْنَـٰكَ
ji'nāka
We bring you
بِٱلْحَقِّ
bil-ḥaqi
the truth
وَأَحْسَنَ
wa-aḥsana
and (the) best
تَفْسِيرًا
tafsīran
explanation
And they do not come to you with an example [i.e., argument] except that We bring you the truth and the best explanation.

25:34
Ayah 25:34
ٱلَّذِينَ يُحْشَرُونَ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
Those who
يُحْشَرُونَ
yuḥ'sharūna
will be gathered
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
on
وُجُوهِهِمْ
wujūhihim
their faces
إِلَىٰ
ilā
to
جَهَنَّمَ
jahannama
Hell
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ
ulāika
those
شَرٌّ
sharrun
(are the) worst
مَّكَانًا
makānan
(in) position
وَأَضَلُّ
wa-aḍallu
and most astray
سَبِيلًا
sabīlan
(from the) way
The ones who are gathered on their faces to Hell - those are the worst in position and farthest astray in [their] way.

25:35
Ayah 25:35
وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ وَجَعَلْنَا مَعَهُۥٓ أَخَاهُ هَـٰرُونَ وَزِيرًا
وَلَقَدْ
walaqad
And verily
ءَاتَيْنَا
ātaynā
We gave
مُوسَى
mūsā
Musa
ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ
l-kitāba
the Scripture
وَجَعَلْنَا
wajaʿalnā
and We appointed
مَعَهُۥٓ
maʿahu
with him
أَخَاهُ
akhāhu
his brother
هَـٰرُونَ
hārūna
Harun
وَزِيرًا
wazīran
(as) an assistant
And We had certainly given Moses the Scripture and appointed with him his brother Aaron as an assistant.

25:36
Ayah 25:36
فَقُلْنَا ٱذْهَبَآ إِلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا فَدَمَّرْنَـٰهُمْ تَدْمِيرًا
فَقُلْنَا
faqul'nā
Then We said
ٱذْهَبَآ
idh'habā
Go both of you
إِلَى
ilā
to
ٱلْقَوْمِ
l-qawmi
the people
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
كَذَّبُوا۟
kadhabū
have denied
بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا
biāyātinā
Our Signs
فَدَمَّرْنَـٰهُمْ
fadammarnāhum
Then We destroyed them
تَدْمِيرًا
tadmīran
(with) destruction
And We said, "Go both of you to the people who have denied Our signs." Then We destroyed them with [complete] destruction.

25:37
Ayah 25:37
وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ لَّمَّا كَذَّبُوا۟ ٱلرُّسُلَ أَغْرَقْنَـٰهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ ءَايَةً ۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّـٰلِمِينَ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا
وَقَوْمَ
waqawma
And (the) people
نُوحٍ
nūḥin
(of) Nuh
لَّمَّا
lammā
when
كَذَّبُوا۟
kadhabū
they denied
ٱلرُّسُلَ
l-rusula
the Messengers
أَغْرَقْنَـٰهُمْ
aghraqnāhum
We drowned them
وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ
wajaʿalnāhum
and We made them
لِلنَّاسِ
lilnnāsi
for mankind
ءَايَةً
āyatan
a sign
وَأَعْتَدْنَا
wa-aʿtadnā
And We have prepared
لِلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
lilẓẓālimīna
for the wrongdoers
عَذَابًا
ʿadhāban
a punishment
أَلِيمًا
alīman
painful
And the people of Noah - when they denied the messengers,1 We drowned them, and We made them for mankind a sign. And We have prepared for the wrongdoers a painful punishment.

25:38
Ayah 25:38
وَعَادًا وَثَمُودَا۟ وَأَصْحَـٰبَ ٱلرَّسِّ وَقُرُونًۢا بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ كَثِيرًا
وَعَادًا
waʿādan
And Ad
وَثَمُودَا۟
wathamūdā
and Thamud
وَأَصْحَـٰبَ
wa-aṣḥāba
and (the) dwellers
ٱلرَّسِّ
l-rasi
(of) Ar-rass
وَقُرُونًۢا
waqurūnan
and generations
بَيْنَ
bayna
between
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
that
كَثِيرًا
kathīran
many
And [We destroyed] ʿAad and Thamūd and the companions of the well1 and many generations between them.

25:39
Ayah 25:39
وَكُلًّا ضَرَبْنَا لَهُ ٱلْأَمْثَـٰلَ ۖ وَكُلًّا تَبَّرْنَا تَتْبِيرًا
وَكُلًّا
wakullan
And each
ضَرَبْنَا
ḍarabnā
We have set forth
لَهُ
lahu
for him
ٱلْأَمْثَـٰلَ
l-amthāla
the examples
وَكُلًّا
wakullan
and each
تَبَّرْنَا
tabbarnā
We destroyed
تَتْبِيرًا
tatbīran
(with) destruction
And for each We presented examples [as warnings], and each We destroyed with [total] destruction.

25:40
Ayah 25:40
وَلَقَدْ أَتَوْا۟ عَلَى ٱلْقَرْيَةِ ٱلَّتِىٓ أُمْطِرَتْ مَطَرَ ٱلسَّوْءِ ۚ أَفَلَمْ يَكُونُوا۟ يَرَوْنَهَا ۚ بَلْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَرْجُونَ نُشُورًا
وَلَقَدْ
walaqad
And verily
أَتَوْا۟
ataw
they have come
عَلَى
ʿalā
upon
ٱلْقَرْيَةِ
l-qaryati
the town
ٱلَّتِىٓ
allatī
which
أُمْطِرَتْ
um'ṭirat
was showered
مَطَرَ
maṭara
(with) a rain
ٱلسَّوْءِ
l-sawi
(of) evil
أَفَلَمْ
afalam
Then do not
يَكُونُوا۟
yakūnū
they [were]
يَرَوْنَهَا
yarawnahā
see it
بَلْ
bal
Nay
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they are
لَا
not
يَرْجُونَ
yarjūna
expecting
نُشُورًا
nushūran
Resurrection
And they have already come upon the town which was showered with a rain of evil [i.e., stones]. So have they not seen it? But they are not expecting resurrection.1

25:41
Ayah 25:41
وَإِذَا رَأَوْكَ إِن يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِى بَعَثَ ٱللَّهُ رَسُولًا
وَإِذَا
wa-idhā
And when
رَأَوْكَ
ra-awka
they see you
إِن
in
not
يَتَّخِذُونَكَ
yattakhidhūnaka
they take you
إِلَّا
illā
except
هُزُوًا
huzuwan
(in) mockery
أَهَـٰذَا
ahādhā
Is this
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
the one whom
بَعَثَ
baʿatha
Allah has sent
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah has sent
رَسُولًا
rasūlan
(as) a Messenger
And when they see you, [O Muḥammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], "Is this the one whom Allāh has sent as a messenger?

25:42
Ayah 25:42
إِن كَادَ لَيُضِلُّنَا عَنْ ءَالِهَتِنَا لَوْلَآ أَن صَبَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا ۚ وَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ حِينَ يَرَوْنَ ٱلْعَذَابَ مَنْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا
إِن
in
He would have almost
كَادَ
kāda
He would have almost
لَيُضِلُّنَا
layuḍillunā
[surely] misled us
عَنْ
ʿan
from
ءَالِهَتِنَا
ālihatinā
our gods
لَوْلَآ
lawlā
if not
أَن
an
that
صَبَرْنَا
ṣabarnā
we had been steadfast
عَلَيْهَا
ʿalayhā
to them
وَسَوْفَ
wasawfa
And soon
يَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūna
will know
حِينَ
ḥīna
when
يَرَوْنَ
yarawna
they will see
ٱلْعَذَابَ
l-ʿadhāba
the punishment
مَنْ
man
who
أَضَلُّ
aḍallu
(is) more astray
سَبِيلًا
sabīlan
(from the) way
He almost would have misled us from our gods had we not been steadfast in [worship of] them." But they are going to know, when they see the punishment, who is farthest astray in [his] way.

25:43
Ayah 25:43
أَرَءَيْتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَـٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ أَفَأَنتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِ وَكِيلًا
أَرَءَيْتَ
ara-ayta
Have you seen
مَنِ
mani
(one) who
ٱتَّخَذَ
ittakhadha
takes
إِلَـٰهَهُۥ
ilāhahu
(as) his god
هَوَىٰهُ
hawāhu
his own desire
أَفَأَنتَ
afa-anta
Then would you
تَكُونُ
takūnu
be
عَلَيْهِ
ʿalayhi
over him
وَكِيلًا
wakīlan
a guardian
Have you seen the one who takes as his god his own desire? Then would you be responsible for him?

25:44
Ayah 25:44
أَمْ تَحْسَبُ أَنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ أَوْ يَعْقِلُونَ ۚ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا كَٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ ۖ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا
أَمْ
am
Or
تَحْسَبُ
taḥsabu
do you think
أَنَّ
anna
that
أَكْثَرَهُمْ
aktharahum
most of them
يَسْمَعُونَ
yasmaʿūna
hear
أَوْ
aw
or
يَعْقِلُونَ
yaʿqilūna
understand
إِنْ
in
Not
هُمْ
hum
they
إِلَّا
illā
(are) except
كَٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ
kal-anʿāmi
like cattle
بَلْ
bal
Nay
هُمْ
hum
they
أَضَلُّ
aḍallu
(are) more astray
سَبِيلًا
sabīlan
(from the) way
Or do you think that most of them hear or reason? They are not except like livestock.1 Rather, they are [even] more astray in [their] way.

25:45
Ayah 25:45
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَيْفَ مَدَّ ٱلظِّلَّ وَلَوْ شَآءَ لَجَعَلَهُۥ سَاكِنًا ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا ٱلشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيلًا
أَلَمْ
alam
Do you not
تَرَ
tara
see
إِلَىٰ
ilā
[to]
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
كَيْفَ
kayfa
how
مَدَّ
madda
He extends
ٱلظِّلَّ
l-ẓila
the shadow
وَلَوْ
walaw
And if
شَآءَ
shāa
He willed
لَجَعَلَهُۥ
lajaʿalahu
surely He (could) have made it
سَاكِنًا
sākinan
stationary
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
جَعَلْنَا
jaʿalnā
We made
ٱلشَّمْسَ
l-shamsa
the sun
عَلَيْهِ
ʿalayhi
for it
دَلِيلًا
dalīlan
an indication
Have you not considered your Lord - how He extends the shadow, and if He willed, He could have made it stationary? Then We made the sun for it an indication.1

25:46
Ayah 25:46
ثُمَّ قَبَضْنَـٰهُ إِلَيْنَا قَبْضًا يَسِيرًا
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
قَبَضْنَـٰهُ
qabaḍnāhu
We withdraw it
إِلَيْنَا
ilaynā
to Us
قَبْضًا
qabḍan
a withdrawal
يَسِيرًا
yasīran
gradual
Then We [retract and] hold it with Us for a brief grasp.1

25:47
Ayah 25:47
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا وَٱلنَّوْمَ سُبَاتًا وَجَعَلَ ٱلنَّهَارَ نُشُورًا
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
And He
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
(is) the One Who
جَعَلَ
jaʿala
made
لَكُمُ
lakumu
for you
ٱلَّيْلَ
al-layla
the night
لِبَاسًا
libāsan
(as) a covering
وَٱلنَّوْمَ
wal-nawma
and the sleep
سُبَاتًا
subātan
a rest
وَجَعَلَ
wajaʿala
and made
ٱلنَّهَارَ
l-nahāra
the day
نُشُورًا
nushūran
a resurrection
And it is He who has made the night for you as clothing1 and sleep [a means for] rest and has made the day a resurrection.2

25:48
Ayah 25:48
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَرْسَلَ ٱلرِّيَـٰحَ بُشْرًۢا بَيْنَ يَدَىْ رَحْمَتِهِۦ ۚ وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً طَهُورًا
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
And He
ٱلَّذِىٓ
alladhī
(is) the One Who
أَرْسَلَ
arsala
sends
ٱلرِّيَـٰحَ
l-riyāḥa
the winds
بُشْرًۢا
bush'ran
(as) glad tidings
بَيْنَ
bayna
before
يَدَىْ
yaday
before
رَحْمَتِهِۦ
raḥmatihi
His Mercy
وَأَنزَلْنَا
wa-anzalnā
and We send down
مِنَ
mina
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
l-samāi
the sky
مَآءً
māan
water
طَهُورًا
ṭahūran
pure
And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy [i.e., rainfall], and We send down from the sky pure water

25:49
Ayah 25:49
لِّنُحْـِۧىَ بِهِۦ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا وَنُسْقِيَهُۥ مِمَّا خَلَقْنَآ أَنْعَـٰمًا وَأَنَاسِىَّ كَثِيرًا
لِّنُحْـِۧىَ
linuḥ'yiya
That We may give life
بِهِۦ
bihi
thereby
بَلْدَةً
baldatan
(to) a land
مَّيْتًا
maytan
dead
وَنُسْقِيَهُۥ
wanus'qiyahu
and We give drink
مِمَّا
mimmā
thereof
خَلَقْنَآ
khalaqnā
(to those) We created
أَنْعَـٰمًا
anʿāman
cattle
وَأَنَاسِىَّ
wa-anāsiyya
and men
كَثِيرًا
kathīran
many
That We may bring to life thereby a dead land and give it as drink to those We created of numerous livestock and men.

25:50
Ayah 25:50
وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَـٰهُ بَيْنَهُمْ لِيَذَّكَّرُوا۟ فَأَبَىٰٓ أَكْثَرُ ٱلنَّاسِ إِلَّا كُفُورًا
وَلَقَدْ
walaqad
And verily
صَرَّفْنَـٰهُ
ṣarrafnāhu
We have distributed it
بَيْنَهُمْ
baynahum
among them
لِيَذَّكَّرُوا۟
liyadhakkarū
that they may remember
فَأَبَىٰٓ
fa-abā
but refuse
أَكْثَرُ
aktharu
most
ٱلنَّاسِ
l-nāsi
(of) the people
إِلَّا
illā
except
كُفُورًا
kufūran
disbelief
And We have certainly distributed it among them that they might be reminded,1 but most of the people refuse except disbelief.

25:51
Ayah 25:51
وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَبَعَثْنَا فِى كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ نَّذِيرًا
وَلَوْ
walaw
And if
شِئْنَا
shi'nā
We willed
لَبَعَثْنَا
labaʿathnā
surely, We (would) have raised
فِى
in
كُلِّ
kulli
every
قَرْيَةٍ
qaryatin
town
نَّذِيرًا
nadhīran
a warner
And if We had willed, We could have sent into every city a warner.1

25:52
Ayah 25:52
فَلَا تُطِعِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ وَجَـٰهِدْهُم بِهِۦ جِهَادًا كَبِيرًا
فَلَا
falā
So (do) not
تُطِعِ
tuṭiʿi
obey
ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
l-kāfirīna
the disbelievers
وَجَـٰهِدْهُم
wajāhid'hum
and strive (against) them
بِهِۦ
bihi
with it
جِهَادًا
jihādan
a striving
كَبِيرًا
kabīran
great
So do not obey the disbelievers, and strive against them with it [i.e., the Qur’ān] a great striving.

25:53
Ayah 25:53
۞ وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ هَـٰذَا عَذْبٌ فُرَاتٌ وَهَـٰذَا مِلْحٌ أُجَاجٌ وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخًا وَحِجْرًا مَّحْجُورًا
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
And He
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
(is) the One Who
مَرَجَ
maraja
(has) released
ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ
l-baḥrayni
the two seas
هَـٰذَا
hādhā
[this] (one)
عَذْبٌ
ʿadhbun
palatable
فُرَاتٌ
furātun
and sweet
وَهَـٰذَا
wahādhā
and [this] (one)
مِلْحٌ
mil'ḥun
salty
أُجَاجٌ
ujājun
(and) bitter
وَجَعَلَ
wajaʿala
and He has made
بَيْنَهُمَا
baynahumā
between them
بَرْزَخًا
barzakhan
a barrier
وَحِجْرًا
waḥij'ran
and a partition
مَّحْجُورًا
maḥjūran
forbidden
And it is He who has released [simultaneously] the two seas [i.e., bodies of water], one fresh and sweet and one salty and bitter, and He placed between them a barrier and prohibiting partition.

25:54
Ayah 25:54
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ مِنَ ٱلْمَآءِ بَشَرًا فَجَعَلَهُۥ نَسَبًا وَصِهْرًا ۗ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ قَدِيرًا
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
And He
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
(is) the One Who
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
has created
مِنَ
mina
from
ٱلْمَآءِ
l-māi
the water
بَشَرًا
basharan
human being
فَجَعَلَهُۥ
fajaʿalahu
and has made (for) him
نَسَبًا
nasaban
blood relationship
وَصِهْرًا
waṣih'ran
and marriage relationship
وَكَانَ
wakāna
And is
رَبُّكَ
rabbuka
your Lord
قَدِيرًا
qadīran
All-Powerful
And it is He who has created from water [i.e., semen] a human being and made him [a relative by] lineage and marriage. And ever is your Lord competent [concerning creation].

25:55
Ayah 25:55
وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُهُمْ وَلَا يَضُرُّهُمْ ۗ وَكَانَ ٱلْكَافِرُ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ ظَهِيرًا
وَيَعْبُدُونَ
wayaʿbudūna
But they worship
مِن
min
besides Allah
دُونِ
dūni
besides Allah
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
besides Allah
مَا
what
لَا
not profits them
يَنفَعُهُمْ
yanfaʿuhum
not profits them
وَلَا
walā
and not
يَضُرُّهُمْ
yaḍurruhum
harms them
وَكَانَ
wakāna
and is
ٱلْكَافِرُ
l-kāfiru
the disbeliever
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
against
رَبِّهِۦ
rabbihi
his Lord
ظَهِيرًا
ẓahīran
a helper
But they worship rather than Allāh that which does not benefit them or harm them, and the disbeliever is ever, against his Lord, an assistant [to Satan].

25:56
Ayah 25:56
وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَـٰكَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا
وَمَآ
wamā
And not
أَرْسَلْنَـٰكَ
arsalnāka
We sent you
إِلَّا
illā
except
مُبَشِّرًا
mubashiran
(as) a bearer of glad tidings
وَنَذِيرًا
wanadhīran
and a warner
And We have not sent you, [O Muḥammad], except as a bringer of good tidings and a warner.

25:57
Ayah 25:57
قُلْ مَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِلَّا مَن شَآءَ أَن يَتَّخِذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ سَبِيلًا
قُلْ
qul
Say
مَآ
Not
أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ
asalukum
I ask (of) you
عَلَيْهِ
ʿalayhi
for it
مِنْ
min
any
أَجْرٍ
ajrin
payment
إِلَّا
illā
except
مَن
man
(that) whoever wills
شَآءَ
shāa
(that) whoever wills
أَن
an
to
يَتَّخِذَ
yattakhidha
take
إِلَىٰ
ilā
to
رَبِّهِۦ
rabbihi
his Lord
سَبِيلًا
sabīlan
a way
Say, "I do not ask of you for it any payment - only that whoever wills might take to his Lord a way."

25:58
Ayah 25:58
وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱلْحَىِّ ٱلَّذِى لَا يَمُوتُ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِهِۦ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِهِۦ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِۦ خَبِيرًا
وَتَوَكَّلْ
watawakkal
And put your trust
عَلَى
ʿalā
in
ٱلْحَىِّ
l-ḥayi
the Ever-Living
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
the One Who
لَا
does not die
يَمُوتُ
yamūtu
does not die
وَسَبِّحْ
wasabbiḥ
and glorify
بِحَمْدِهِۦ
biḥamdihi
with His Praise
وَكَفَىٰ
wakafā
And sufficient is
بِهِۦ
bihi
He
بِذُنُوبِ
bidhunūbi
regarding the sins
عِبَادِهِۦ
ʿibādihi
(of) His slaves
خَبِيرًا
khabīran
All-Aware
And rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die, and exalt [Allāh] with His praise. And sufficient is He to be, with the sins of His servants, [fully] Aware -

25:59
Ayah 25:59
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ ۚ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ فَسْـَٔلْ بِهِۦ خَبِيرًا
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
The One Who
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
created
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضَ
wal-arḍa
and the earth
وَمَا
wamā
and whatever
بَيْنَهُمَا
baynahumā
(is) between them
فِى
in
سِتَّةِ
sittati
six
أَيَّامٍ
ayyāmin
periods
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
ٱسْتَوَىٰ
is'tawā
He established Himself
عَلَى
ʿalā
over
ٱلْعَرْشِ
l-ʿarshi
the Throne
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ
l-raḥmānu
the Most Gracious
فَسْـَٔلْ
fasal
so ask
بِهِۦ
bihi
Him
خَبِيرًا
khabīran
(as He is) All-Aware
He who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days and then established Himself above the Throne1 - the Most Merciful, so ask about Him one well informed [i.e., the Prophet (ﷺ)].

25:60
Ayah 25:60
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ قَالُوا۟ وَمَا ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ أَنَسْجُدُ لِمَا تَأْمُرُنَا وَزَادَهُمْ نُفُورًا ۩
وَإِذَا
wa-idhā
And when
قِيلَ
qīla
it is said
لَهُمُ
lahumu
to them
ٱسْجُدُوا۟
us'judū
Prostrate
لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ
lilrraḥmāni
to the Most Gracious
قَالُوا۟
qālū
They say
وَمَا
wamā
And what
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ
l-raḥmānu
(is) the Most Gracious
أَنَسْجُدُ
anasjudu
Should we prostrate
لِمَا
limā
to what
تَأْمُرُنَا
tamurunā
you order us
وَزَادَهُمْ
wazādahum
And it increases them
نُفُورًا
nufūran
(in) aversion
And when it is said to them, "Prostrate to the Most Merciful," they say, "And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us?" And it increases them in aversion.

25:61
Ayah 25:61
تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ بُرُوجًا وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا سِرَٰجًا وَقَمَرًا مُّنِيرًا
تَبَارَكَ
tabāraka
Blessed is He
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
Who
جَعَلَ
jaʿala
has placed
فِى
in
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
l-samāi
the skies
بُرُوجًا
burūjan
constellations
وَجَعَلَ
wajaʿala
and has placed
فِيهَا
fīhā
therein
سِرَٰجًا
sirājan
a lamp
وَقَمَرًا
waqamaran
and a moon
مُّنِيرًا
munīran
shining
Blessed is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon.

25:62
Ayah 25:62
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ خِلْفَةً لِّمَنْ أَرَادَ أَن يَذَّكَّرَ أَوْ أَرَادَ شُكُورًا
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
And He
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
(is) the One Who
جَعَلَ
jaʿala
made
ٱلَّيْلَ
al-layla
the night
وَٱلنَّهَارَ
wal-nahāra
and the day
خِلْفَةً
khil'fatan
(in) succession
لِّمَنْ
liman
for whoever
أَرَادَ
arāda
desires
أَن
an
to
يَذَّكَّرَ
yadhakkara
remember
أَوْ
aw
or
أَرَادَ
arāda
desires
شُكُورًا
shukūran
to be thankful
And it is He who has made the night and the day in succession for whoever desires to remember or desires gratitude.

25:63
Ayah 25:63
وَعِبَادُ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَمْشُونَ عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ هَوْنًا وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ ٱلْجَـٰهِلُونَ قَالُوا۟ سَلَـٰمًا
وَعِبَادُ
waʿibādu
And (the) slaves
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ
l-raḥmāni
(of) the Most Gracious
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
(are) those who
يَمْشُونَ
yamshūna
walk
عَلَى
ʿalā
on
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the earth
هَوْنًا
hawnan
(in) humbleness
وَإِذَا
wa-idhā
and when
خَاطَبَهُمُ
khāṭabahumu
address them
ٱلْجَـٰهِلُونَ
l-jāhilūna
the ignorant ones
قَالُوا۟
qālū
they say
سَلَـٰمًا
salāman
Peace
And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily,1 and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace,2

25:64
Ayah 25:64
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَبِيتُونَ لِرَبِّهِمْ سُجَّدًا وَقِيَـٰمًا
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhīna
And those who
يَبِيتُونَ
yabītūna
spend (the) night
لِرَبِّهِمْ
lirabbihim
before their Lord
سُجَّدًا
sujjadan
prostrating
وَقِيَـٰمًا
waqiyāman
and standing
And those who spend [part of] the night to their Lord prostrating and standing [in prayer]

25:65
Ayah 25:65
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا ٱصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ إِنَّ عَذَابَهَا كَانَ غَرَامًا
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhīna
And those who
يَقُولُونَ
yaqūlūna
say
رَبَّنَا
rabbanā
Our Lord
ٱصْرِفْ
iṣ'rif
Avert
عَنَّا
ʿannā
from us
عَذَابَ
ʿadhāba
the punishment
جَهَنَّمَ
jahannama
(of) Hell
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
عَذَابَهَا
ʿadhābahā
its punishment
كَانَ
kāna
is
غَرَامًا
gharāman
inseparable
And those who say, "Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is ever adhering;

25:66
Ayah 25:66
إِنَّهَا سَآءَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَمُقَامًا
إِنَّهَا
innahā
Indeed, it
سَآءَتْ
sāat
(is) an evil
مُسْتَقَرًّا
mus'taqarran
abode
وَمُقَامًا
wamuqāman
and resting place
Indeed, it is evil as a settlement and residence."

25:67
Ayah 25:67
وَٱلَّذِينَ إِذَآ أَنفَقُوا۟ لَمْ يُسْرِفُوا۟ وَلَمْ يَقْتُرُوا۟ وَكَانَ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ قَوَامًا
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhīna
And those who
إِذَآ
idhā
when
أَنفَقُوا۟
anfaqū
they spend
لَمْ
lam
(are) not extravagant
يُسْرِفُوا۟
yus'rifū
(are) not extravagant
وَلَمْ
walam
and are not stingy
يَقْتُرُوا۟
yaqturū
and are not stingy
وَكَانَ
wakāna
but are
بَيْنَ
bayna
between
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
that
قَوَامًا
qawāman
moderate
And [they are] those who, when they spend, do so not excessively or sparingly but are ever, between that, [justly] moderate

25:68
Ayah 25:68
وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ وَلَا يَقْتُلُونَ ٱلنَّفْسَ ٱلَّتِى حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَا يَزْنُونَ ۚ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ يَلْقَ أَثَامًا
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhīna
And those who
لَا
(do) not
يَدْعُونَ
yadʿūna
invoke
مَعَ
maʿa
with
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
إِلَـٰهًا
ilāhan
god
ءَاخَرَ
ākhara
another
وَلَا
walā
and (do) not
يَقْتُلُونَ
yaqtulūna
[they] kill
ٱلنَّفْسَ
l-nafsa
the soul
ٱلَّتِى
allatī
which
حَرَّمَ
ḥarrama
Allah has forbidden
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah has forbidden
إِلَّا
illā
except
بِٱلْحَقِّ
bil-ḥaqi
by right
وَلَا
walā
and (do) not
يَزْنُونَ
yaznūna
commit unlawful sexual intercourse
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يَفْعَلْ
yafʿal
does
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
that
يَلْقَ
yalqa
will meet
أَثَامًا
athāman
a penalty
And those who do not invoke1 with Allāh another deity or kill the soul which Allāh has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty.

25:69
Ayah 25:69
يُضَـٰعَفْ لَهُ ٱلْعَذَابُ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ وَيَخْلُدْ فِيهِۦ مُهَانًا
يُضَـٰعَفْ
yuḍāʿaf
Will be doubled
لَهُ
lahu
for him
ٱلْعَذَابُ
l-ʿadhābu
the punishment
يَوْمَ
yawma
(on the) Day
ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ
l-qiyāmati
(of) Resurrection
وَيَخْلُدْ
wayakhlud
and he will abide forever
فِيهِۦ
fīhi
therein
مُهَانًا
muhānan
humiliated
Multiplied for him is the punishment on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein humiliated -

25:70
Ayah 25:70
إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلًا صَـٰلِحًا فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ ٱللَّهُ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ حَسَنَـٰتٍ ۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا
إِلَّا
illā
Except
مَن
man
(he) who
تَابَ
tāba
repents
وَءَامَنَ
waāmana
and believes
وَعَمِلَ
waʿamila
and does
عَمَلًا
ʿamalan
righteous deeds
صَـٰلِحًا
ṣāliḥan
righteous deeds
فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ
fa-ulāika
then (for) those
يُبَدِّلُ
yubaddilu
Allah will replace
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah will replace
سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ
sayyiātihim
their evil deeds
حَسَنَـٰتٍ
ḥasanātin
(with) good ones
وَكَانَ
wakāna
And is
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah
غَفُورًا
ghafūran
Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمًا
raḥīman
Most Merciful
Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allāh will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allāh Forgiving and Merciful.

25:71
Ayah 25:71
وَمَن تَابَ وَعَمِلَ صَـٰلِحًا فَإِنَّهُۥ يَتُوبُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَتَابًا
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
تَابَ
tāba
repents
وَعَمِلَ
waʿamila
and does
صَـٰلِحًا
ṣāliḥan
righteous (deeds)
فَإِنَّهُۥ
fa-innahu
then indeed, he
يَتُوبُ
yatūbu
turns
إِلَى
ilā
to
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
مَتَابًا
matāban
(with) repentance
And he who repents and does righteousness does indeed turn to Allāh with [accepted] repentance.

25:72
Ayah 25:72
وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَشْهَدُونَ ٱلزُّورَ وَإِذَا مَرُّوا۟ بِٱللَّغْوِ مَرُّوا۟ كِرَامًا
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhīna
And those who
لَا
(do) not
يَشْهَدُونَ
yashhadūna
bear witness
ٱلزُّورَ
l-zūra
(to) the falsehood
وَإِذَا
wa-idhā
and when
مَرُّوا۟
marrū
they pass
بِٱللَّغْوِ
bil-laghwi
by futility
مَرُّوا۟
marrū
they pass
كِرَامًا
kirāman
(as) dignified ones
And [they are] those who do not testify to falsehood, and when they pass near ill speech, they pass by with dignity.

25:73
Ayah 25:73
وَٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ لَمْ يَخِرُّوا۟ عَلَيْهَا صُمًّا وَعُمْيَانًا
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhīna
And those who
إِذَا
idhā
when
ذُكِّرُوا۟
dhukkirū
they are reminded
بِـَٔايَـٰتِ
biāyāti
of (the) Verses
رَبِّهِمْ
rabbihim
(of) their Lord
لَمْ
lam
(do) not
يَخِرُّوا۟
yakhirrū
fall
عَلَيْهَا
ʿalayhā
upon them
صُمًّا
ṣumman
deaf
وَعُمْيَانًا
waʿum'yānan
and blind
And those who, when reminded of the verses of their Lord, do not fall upon them deaf and blind.

25:74
Ayah 25:74
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَٰجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّـٰتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَٱجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhīna
And those who
يَقُولُونَ
yaqūlūna
say
رَبَّنَا
rabbanā
Our Lord
هَبْ
hab
Grant
لَنَا
lanā
to us
مِنْ
min
from
أَزْوَٰجِنَا
azwājinā
our spouses
وَذُرِّيَّـٰتِنَا
wadhurriyyātinā
and our offspring
قُرَّةَ
qurrata
comfort
أَعْيُنٍ
aʿyunin
(to) our eyes
وَٱجْعَلْنَا
wa-ij'ʿalnā
and make us
لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
lil'muttaqīna
for the righteous
إِمَامًا
imāman
a leader
And those who say, "Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes1 and make us a leader [i.e., example] for the righteous."

25:75
Ayah 25:75
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ يُجْزَوْنَ ٱلْغُرْفَةَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا۟ وَيُلَقَّوْنَ فِيهَا تَحِيَّةً وَسَلَـٰمًا
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ
ulāika
Those
يُجْزَوْنَ
yuj'zawna
will be awarded
ٱلْغُرْفَةَ
l-ghur'fata
the Chamber
بِمَا
bimā
because
صَبَرُوا۟
ṣabarū
they were patient
وَيُلَقَّوْنَ
wayulaqqawna
and they will be met
فِيهَا
fīhā
therein
تَحِيَّةً
taḥiyyatan
(with) greetings
وَسَلَـٰمًا
wasalāman
and peace
Those will be awarded the Chamber1 for what they patiently endured, and they will be received therein with greetings and [words of] peace,

25:76
Ayah 25:76
خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ حَسُنَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَمُقَامًا
خَـٰلِدِينَ
khālidīna
Will abide forever
فِيهَا
fīhā
in it
حَسُنَتْ
ḥasunat
Good
مُسْتَقَرًّا
mus'taqarran
(is) the settlement
وَمُقَامًا
wamuqāman
and a resting place
Abiding eternally therein. Good is the settlement and residence.

25:77
Ayah 25:77
قُلْ مَا يَعْبَؤُا۟ بِكُمْ رَبِّى لَوْلَا دُعَآؤُكُمْ ۖ فَقَدْ كَذَّبْتُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَكُونُ لِزَامًۢا
قُلْ
qul
Say
مَا
Not
يَعْبَؤُا۟
yaʿba-u
will care
بِكُمْ
bikum
for you
رَبِّى
rabbī
my Lord
لَوْلَا
lawlā
if not
دُعَآؤُكُمْ
duʿāukum
your prayer (is to Him)
فَقَدْ
faqad
But verily
كَذَّبْتُمْ
kadhabtum
you have denied
فَسَوْفَ
fasawfa
so soon
يَكُونُ
yakūnu
will be
لِزَامًۢا
lizāman
the inevitable (punishment)
Say, "What would my Lord care for you if not for your supplication?"1 For you [disbelievers] have denied, so it [i.e., your denial] is going to be adherent.2
