غُلِبَتِ ٱلرُّومُ
غُلِبَتِ
ghulibati
Have been defeated
ٱلرُّومُ
l-rūmu
the Romans
The Byzantines have been defeated1

30:3
Ayah 30:3
فِىٓ أَدْنَى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَهُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ غَلَبِهِمْ سَيَغْلِبُونَ
فِىٓ
In
أَدْنَى
adnā
(the) nearest
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍi
land
وَهُم
wahum
But they
مِّنۢ
min
after
بَعْدِ
baʿdi
after
غَلَبِهِمْ
ghalabihim
their defeat
سَيَغْلِبُونَ
sayaghlibūna
will overcome
In the nearest land.1 But they, after their defeat, will overcome

30:4
Ayah 30:4
فِى بِضْعِ سِنِينَ ۗ لِلَّهِ ٱلْأَمْرُ مِن قَبْلُ وَمِنۢ بَعْدُ ۚ وَيَوْمَئِذٍ يَفْرَحُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
فِى
Within
بِضْعِ
biḍ'ʿi
a few
سِنِينَ
sinīna
years
لِلَّهِ
lillahi
For Allah
ٱلْأَمْرُ
l-amru
(is) the command
مِن
min
before
قَبْلُ
qablu
before
وَمِنۢ
wamin
and after
بَعْدُ
baʿdu
and after
وَيَوْمَئِذٍ
wayawma-idhin
And that day
يَفْرَحُ
yafraḥu
will rejoice
ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
l-mu'minūna
the believers
Within three to nine years. To Allāh belongs the command [i.e., decree] before and after. And that day the believers will rejoice

30:5
Ayah 30:5
بِنَصْرِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ يَنصُرُ مَن يَشَآءُ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
بِنَصْرِ
binaṣri
With (the) help
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
يَنصُرُ
yanṣuru
He helps
مَن
man
whom
يَشَآءُ
yashāu
He wills
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
And He
ٱلْعَزِيزُ
l-ʿazīzu
(is) the All-Mighty
ٱلرَّحِيمُ
l-raḥīmu
the Most Merciful
In the victory of Allāh.1 He gives victory to whom He wills, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

30:6
Ayah 30:6
وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ لَا يُخْلِفُ ٱللَّهُ وَعْدَهُۥ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
وَعْدَ
waʿda
(It is the) Promise
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
لَا
(Does) not
يُخْلِفُ
yukh'lifu
fail
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah
وَعْدَهُۥ
waʿdahu
(in) His promise
وَلَـٰكِنَّ
walākinna
but
أَكْثَرَ
akthara
most (of)
ٱلنَّاسِ
l-nāsi
[the] people
لَا
(do) not
يَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūna
know
[It is] the promise of Allāh. Allāh does not fail in His promise, but most of the people do not know.

30:7
Ayah 30:7
يَعْلَمُونَ ظَـٰهِرًا مِّنَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ عَنِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ هُمْ غَـٰفِلُونَ
يَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūna
They know
ظَـٰهِرًا
ẓāhiran
(the) apparent
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
l-ḥayati
the life
ٱلدُّنْيَا
l-dun'yā
(of) the world
وَهُمْ
wahum
but they
عَنِ
ʿani
about
ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
l-ākhirati
the Hereafter
هُمْ
hum
[they]
غَـٰفِلُونَ
ghāfilūna
(are) heedless
They know what is apparent of the worldly life, but they, of the Hereafter, are unaware.

30:8
Ayah 30:8
أَوَلَمْ يَتَفَكَّرُوا۟ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِم ۗ مَّا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَأَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ۗ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ بِلِقَآئِ رَبِّهِمْ لَكَـٰفِرُونَ
أَوَلَمْ
awalam
Do not
يَتَفَكَّرُوا۟
yatafakkarū
they ponder
فِىٓ
within
أَنفُسِهِم
anfusihim
themselves
مَّا
Not
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
Allah (has) created
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah (has) created
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضَ
wal-arḍa
and the earth
وَمَا
wamā
and what
بَيْنَهُمَآ
baynahumā
(is) between them
إِلَّا
illā
except
بِٱلْحَقِّ
bil-ḥaqi
in truth
وَأَجَلٍ
wa-ajalin
and (for) a term
مُّسَمًّى
musamman
appointed
وَإِنَّ
wa-inna
And indeed
كَثِيرًا
kathīran
many
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلنَّاسِ
l-nāsi
the people
بِلِقَآئِ
biliqāi
in (the) meeting
رَبِّهِمْ
rabbihim
(with) their Lord
لَكَـٰفِرُونَ
lakāfirūna
surely (are) disbelievers
Do they not contemplate within themselves?1 Allāh has not created the heavens and the earth and what is between them except in truth and for a specified term. And indeed, many of the people, in the meeting with their Lord, are disbelievers.

30:9
Ayah 30:9
أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَانُوٓا۟ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَأَثَارُوا۟ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَعَمَرُوهَآ أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا عَمَرُوهَا وَجَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ ۖ فَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَـٰكِن كَانُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
أَوَلَمْ
awalam
Have not
يَسِيرُوا۟
yasīrū
they traveled
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the earth
فَيَنظُرُوا۟
fayanẓurū
and observed
كَيْفَ
kayfa
how
كَانَ
kāna
was
عَـٰقِبَةُ
ʿāqibatu
(the) end
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
(of) those
مِن
min
before them
قَبْلِهِمْ
qablihim
before them
كَانُوٓا۟
kānū
They were
أَشَدَّ
ashadda
mightier
مِنْهُمْ
min'hum
than them
قُوَّةً
quwwatan
(in) strength
وَأَثَارُوا۟
wa-athārū
and they dug
ٱلْأَرْضَ
l-arḍa
the earth
وَعَمَرُوهَآ
waʿamarūhā
and built (on) it
أَكْثَرَ
akthara
more
مِمَّا
mimmā
than what
عَمَرُوهَا
ʿamarūhā
they have built (on) it
وَجَآءَتْهُمْ
wajāathum
And came (to) them
رُسُلُهُم
rusuluhum
their Messengers
بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ
bil-bayināti
with clear proofs
فَمَا
famā
So not
كَانَ
kāna
was
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah
لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ
liyaẓlimahum
to wrong them
وَلَـٰكِن
walākin
but
كَانُوٓا۟
kānū
they were
أَنفُسَهُمْ
anfusahum
themselves
يَظْلِمُونَ
yaẓlimūna
(doing) wrong
Have they not traveled through the earth and observed how was the end of those before them? They were greater than them in power, and they plowed [or excavated] the earth and built it up more than they [i.e., the Makkans] have built it up, and their messengers came to them with clear evidences. And Allāh would not ever have wronged them, but they were wronging themselves.

30:10
Ayah 30:10
ثُمَّ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَسَـٰٓـُٔوا۟ ٱلسُّوٓأَىٰٓ أَن كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَكَانُوا۟ بِهَا يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
كَانَ
kāna
was
عَـٰقِبَةَ
ʿāqibata
(the) end
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
(of) those who
أَسَـٰٓـُٔوا۟
asāū
did evil
ٱلسُّوٓأَىٰٓ
l-sūā
the evil
أَن
an
because
كَذَّبُوا۟
kadhabū
they denied
بِـَٔايَـٰتِ
biāyāti
(the) Signs
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
وَكَانُوا۟
wakānū
and were
بِهَا
bihā
of them
يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
yastahziūna
making mockery
Then the end of those who did evil was the worst [consequence] because they denied the signs of Allāh and used to ridicule them.

30:11
Ayah 30:11
ٱللَّهُ يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
يَبْدَؤُا۟
yabda-u
originates
ٱلْخَلْقَ
l-khalqa
the creation
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
يُعِيدُهُۥ
yuʿīduhu
He repeats it
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
إِلَيْهِ
ilayhi
to Him
تُرْجَعُونَ
tur'jaʿūna
you will be returned
Allāh begins creation; then He will repeat it; then to Him you will be returned.

30:12
Ayah 30:12
وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يُبْلِسُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
وَيَوْمَ
wayawma
And (the) Day
تَقُومُ
taqūmu
will (be) established
ٱلسَّاعَةُ
l-sāʿatu
the Hour
يُبْلِسُ
yub'lisu
will (be in) despair
ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
l-muj'rimūna
the criminals
And the Day the Hour appears the criminals will be in despair.

30:13
Ayah 30:13
وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُم مِّن شُرَكَآئِهِمْ شُفَعَـٰٓؤُا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ بِشُرَكَآئِهِمْ كَـٰفِرِينَ
وَلَمْ
walam
And not
يَكُن
yakun
will be
لَّهُم
lahum
for them
مِّن
min
among
شُرَكَآئِهِمْ
shurakāihim
theirs partners
شُفَعَـٰٓؤُا۟
shufaʿāu
any intercessors
وَكَانُوا۟
wakānū
and they will be
بِشُرَكَآئِهِمْ
bishurakāihim
in their partners
كَـٰفِرِينَ
kāfirīna
disbelievers
And there will not be for them among their [alleged] partners any intercessors, and they will [then] be disbelievers in their partners.

30:14
Ayah 30:14
وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَفَرَّقُونَ
وَيَوْمَ
wayawma
And (the) Day
تَقُومُ
taqūmu
will (be) established
ٱلسَّاعَةُ
l-sāʿatu
the Hour
يَوْمَئِذٍ
yawma-idhin
that Day
يَتَفَرَّقُونَ
yatafarraqūna
they will become separated
And the Day the Hour appears - that Day they will become separated.

30:15
Ayah 30:15
فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ فَهُمْ فِى رَوْضَةٍ يُحْبَرُونَ
فَأَمَّا
fa-ammā
Then as for
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
ءَامَنُوا۟
āmanū
believed
وَعَمِلُوا۟
waʿamilū
and did
ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ
l-ṣāliḥāti
righteous deeds
فَهُمْ
fahum
so they
فِى
in
رَوْضَةٍ
rawḍatin
a Garden
يُحْبَرُونَ
yuḥ'barūna
will be delighted
And as for those who had believed and done righteous deeds, they will be in a garden [of Paradise], delighted.

30:16
Ayah 30:16
وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا وَلِقَآئِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ مُحْضَرُونَ
وَأَمَّا
wa-ammā
But as for
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
كَفَرُوا۟
kafarū
disbelieved
وَكَذَّبُوا۟
wakadhabū
and denied
بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا
biāyātinā
Our Signs
وَلِقَآئِ
waliqāi
and (the) meeting
ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
l-ākhirati
(of) the Hereafter
فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ
fa-ulāika
then those
فِى
in
ٱلْعَذَابِ
l-ʿadhābi
the punishment
مُحْضَرُونَ
muḥ'ḍarūna
(will be) brought forth
But as for those who disbelieved and denied Our verses and the meeting of the Hereafter, those will be brought into the punishment [to remain].

30:17
Ayah 30:17
فَسُبْحَـٰنَ ٱللَّهِ حِينَ تُمْسُونَ وَحِينَ تُصْبِحُونَ
فَسُبْحَـٰنَ
fasub'ḥāna
So glory be to
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
حِينَ
ḥīna
when
تُمْسُونَ
tum'sūna
you reach the evening
وَحِينَ
waḥīna
and when
تُصْبِحُونَ
tuṣ'biḥūna
you reach the morning
So exalted is Allāh when you reach the evening and when you reach the morning.

30:18
Ayah 30:18
وَلَهُ ٱلْحَمْدُ فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَعَشِيًّا وَحِينَ تُظْهِرُونَ
وَلَهُ
walahu
And for Him
ٱلْحَمْدُ
l-ḥamdu
(are) all praises
فِى
in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
wal-arḍi
and the earth
وَعَشِيًّا
waʿashiyyan
and (at) night
وَحِينَ
waḥīna
and when
تُظْهِرُونَ
tuẓ'hirūna
you are at noon
And to Him is [due all] praise throughout the heavens and the earth. And [exalted is He] at night and when you are at noon.

30:19
Ayah 30:19
يُخْرِجُ ٱلْحَىَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَيِّتِ وَيُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَيِّتَ مِنَ ٱلْحَىِّ وَيُحْىِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ
يُخْرِجُ
yukh'riju
He brings forth
ٱلْحَىَّ
l-ḥaya
the living
مِنَ
mina
from
ٱلْمَيِّتِ
l-mayiti
the dead
وَيُخْرِجُ
wayukh'riju
and He brings forth
ٱلْمَيِّتَ
l-mayita
the dead
مِنَ
mina
from
ٱلْحَىِّ
l-ḥayi
the living
وَيُحْىِ
wayuḥ'yī
and He gives life
ٱلْأَرْضَ
l-arḍa
(to) the earth
بَعْدَ
baʿda
after
مَوْتِهَا
mawtihā
its death
وَكَذَٰلِكَ
wakadhālika
and thus
تُخْرَجُونَ
tukh'rajūna
you will be brought forth
He brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living and brings to life the earth after its lifelessness. And thus will you be brought out.1

30:20
Ayah 30:20
وَمِنْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦٓ أَنْ خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ إِذَآ أَنتُم بَشَرٌ تَنتَشِرُونَ
وَمِنْ
wamin
And among
ءَايَـٰتِهِۦٓ
āyātihi
His Signs
أَنْ
an
(is) that
خَلَقَكُم
khalaqakum
He created you
مِّن
min
from
تُرَابٍ
turābin
dust
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
إِذَآ
idhā
behold
أَنتُم
antum
You
بَشَرٌ
basharun
(are) human beings
تَنتَشِرُونَ
tantashirūna
dispersing
And of His signs is that He created you from dust; then, suddenly you were human beings dispersing [throughout the earth].

30:21
Ayah 30:21
وَمِنْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦٓ أَنْ خَلَقَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًا لِّتَسْكُنُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُم مَّوَدَّةً وَرَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
وَمِنْ
wamin
And among
ءَايَـٰتِهِۦٓ
āyātihi
His Signs
أَنْ
an
(is) that
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
He created
لَكُم
lakum
for you
مِّنْ
min
from
أَنفُسِكُمْ
anfusikum
yourselves
أَزْوَٰجًا
azwājan
mates
لِّتَسْكُنُوٓا۟
litaskunū
that you may find tranquility
إِلَيْهَا
ilayhā
in them
وَجَعَلَ
wajaʿala
and He placed
بَيْنَكُم
baynakum
between you
مَّوَدَّةً
mawaddatan
love
وَرَحْمَةً
waraḥmatan
and mercy
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
فِى
in
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
that
لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ
laāyātin
surely (are) Signs
لِّقَوْمٍ
liqawmin
for a people
يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
yatafakkarūna
who reflect
And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquility in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.

30:22
Ayah 30:22
وَمِنْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ خَلْقُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱخْتِلَـٰفُ أَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَأَلْوَٰنِكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ لِّلْعَـٰلِمِينَ
وَمِنْ
wamin
And among
ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ
āyātihi
His Signs
خَلْقُ
khalqu
(is the) creation
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti
(of) the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
wal-arḍi
and the earth
وَٱخْتِلَـٰفُ
wa-ikh'tilāfu
and the diversity
أَلْسِنَتِكُمْ
alsinatikum
(of) your languages
وَأَلْوَٰنِكُمْ
wa-alwānikum
and your colors
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
فِى
in
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
that
لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ
laāyātin
surely (are) Signs
لِّلْعَـٰلِمِينَ
lil'ʿālimīna
for those of knowledge
And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and the diversity of your languages and your colors. Indeed in that are signs for those of knowledge.

30:23
Ayah 30:23
وَمِنْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ مَنَامُكُم بِٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَٱبْتِغَآؤُكُم مِّن فَضْلِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَسْمَعُونَ
وَمِنْ
wamin
And among
ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ
āyātihi
His Signs
مَنَامُكُم
manāmukum
(is) your sleep
بِٱلَّيْلِ
bi-al-layli
by night
وَٱلنَّهَارِ
wal-nahāri
and the day
وَٱبْتِغَآؤُكُم
wa-ib'tighāukum
[and] your seeking
مِّن
min
of
فَضْلِهِۦٓ
faḍlihi
His Bounty
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
فِى
in
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
that
لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ
laāyātin
surely (are) Signs
لِّقَوْمٍ
liqawmin
for a people
يَسْمَعُونَ
yasmaʿūna
who listen
And of His signs is your sleep by night and day and your seeking of His bounty. Indeed in that are signs for a people who listen.

30:24
Ayah 30:24
وَمِنْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ يُرِيكُمُ ٱلْبَرْقَ خَوْفًا وَطَمَعًا وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَيُحْىِۦ بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَآ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ
وَمِنْ
wamin
And among
ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ
āyātihi
His Signs
يُرِيكُمُ
yurīkumu
He shows you
ٱلْبَرْقَ
l-barqa
the lightning
خَوْفًا
khawfan
(causing) fear
وَطَمَعًا
waṭamaʿan
and hope
وَيُنَزِّلُ
wayunazzilu
and He sends down
مِنَ
mina
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
l-samāi
the sky

فَيُحْىِۦ
fayuḥ'yī
and gives life
بِهِ
bihi
therewith
ٱلْأَرْضَ
l-arḍa
(to) the earth
بَعْدَ
baʿda
after
مَوْتِهَآ
mawtihā
its death
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
فِى
in
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
that
لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ
laāyātin
surely (are) Signs
لِّقَوْمٍ
liqawmin
for a people
يَعْقِلُونَ
yaʿqilūna
who use intellect
And of His signs is [that] He shows you the lightning [causing] fear and aspiration, and He sends down rain from the sky by which He brings to life the earth after its lifelessness. Indeed in that are signs for a people who use reason.

30:25
Ayah 30:25
وَمِنْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦٓ أَن تَقُومَ ٱلسَّمَآءُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ بِأَمْرِهِۦ ۚ ثُمَّ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ دَعْوَةً مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ إِذَآ أَنتُمْ تَخْرُجُونَ
وَمِنْ
wamin
And among
ءَايَـٰتِهِۦٓ
āyātihi
His Signs
أَن
an
(is) that
تَقُومَ
taqūma
stands
ٱلسَّمَآءُ
l-samāu
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضُ
wal-arḍu
and the earth
بِأَمْرِهِۦ
bi-amrihi
by His Command
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
إِذَا
idhā
when
دَعَاكُمْ
daʿākum
He calls you
دَعْوَةً
daʿwatan
(with) a call
مِّنَ
mina
from
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the earth
إِذَآ
idhā
behold
أَنتُمْ
antum
You
تَخْرُجُونَ
takhrujūna
will come forth
And of His signs is that the heaven and earth stand [i.e., remain] by His command. Then when He calls you with a [single] call from the earth, immediately you will come forth.

30:26
Ayah 30:26
وَلَهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ كُلٌّ لَّهُۥ قَـٰنِتُونَ
وَلَهُۥ
walahu
And to Him (belongs)
مَن
man
whoever
فِى
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
wal-arḍi
and the earth
كُلٌّ
kullun
All
لَّهُۥ
lahu
to Him
قَـٰنِتُونَ
qānitūna
(are) obedient
And to Him belongs whoever is in the heavens and earth. All are to Him devoutly obedient.

30:27
Ayah 30:27
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ وَهُوَ أَهْوَنُ عَلَيْهِ ۚ وَلَهُ ٱلْمَثَلُ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
And He
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
(is) the One Who
يَبْدَؤُا۟
yabda-u
originates
ٱلْخَلْقَ
l-khalqa
the creation
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
يُعِيدُهُۥ
yuʿīduhu
repeats it
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and it
أَهْوَنُ
ahwanu
(is) easier
عَلَيْهِ
ʿalayhi
for Him
وَلَهُ
walahu
And for Him
ٱلْمَثَلُ
l-mathalu
(is) the description
ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ
l-aʿlā
the highest
فِى
in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
wal-arḍi
and the earth
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
And He
ٱلْعَزِيزُ
l-ʿazīzu
(is) the All-Mighty
ٱلْحَكِيمُ
l-ḥakīmu
the All-Wise
And it is He who begins creation; then He repeats it, and that is [even] easier for Him. To Him belongs the highest description [i.e., attribute] in the heavens and earth. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

30:28
Ayah 30:28
ضَرَبَ لَكُم مَّثَلًا مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ ۖ هَل لَّكُم مِّن مَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَـٰنُكُم مِّن شُرَكَآءَ فِى مَا رَزَقْنَـٰكُمْ فَأَنتُمْ فِيهِ سَوَآءٌ تَخَافُونَهُمْ كَخِيفَتِكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ
ضَرَبَ
ḍaraba
He sets forth
لَكُم
lakum
to you
مَّثَلًا
mathalan
an example
مِّنْ
min
from
أَنفُسِكُمْ
anfusikum
yourselves
هَل
hal
Is
لَّكُم
lakum
for you
مِّن
min
among
مَّا
what
مَلَكَتْ
malakat
possess
أَيْمَـٰنُكُم
aymānukum
your right hands
مِّن
min
any
شُرَكَآءَ
shurakāa
partners
فِى
in
مَا
what
رَزَقْنَـٰكُمْ
razaqnākum
We have provided you
فَأَنتُمْ
fa-antum
so you
فِيهِ
fīhi
in it
سَوَآءٌ
sawāon
(are) equal
تَخَافُونَهُمْ
takhāfūnahum
you fear them
كَخِيفَتِكُمْ
kakhīfatikum
as you fear
أَنفُسَكُمْ
anfusakum
yourselves
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhālika
Thus
نُفَصِّلُ
nufaṣṣilu
We explain
ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ
l-āyāti
the Verses
لِقَوْمٍ
liqawmin
for a people
يَعْقِلُونَ
yaʿqilūna
(who) use reason
He presents to you an example from yourselves. Do you have among those whom your right hands possess [i.e., slaves] any partners in what We have provided for you so that you are equal therein [and] would fear them as your fear of one another [within a partnership]?1 Thus do We detail the verses for a people who use reason.

30:29
Ayah 30:29
بَلِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَهْوَآءَهُم بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ۖ فَمَن يَهْدِى مَنْ أَضَلَّ ٱللَّهُ ۖ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن نَّـٰصِرِينَ
بَلِ
bali
Nay
ٱتَّبَعَ
ittabaʿa
follow
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
ظَلَمُوٓا۟
ẓalamū
do wrong
أَهْوَآءَهُم
ahwāahum
their desires
بِغَيْرِ
bighayri
without
عِلْمٍ
ʿil'min
knowledge
فَمَن
faman
Then who
يَهْدِى
yahdī
(can) guide
مَنْ
man
(one) whom
أَضَلَّ
aḍalla
Allah has let go astray
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah has let go astray
وَمَا
wamā
And not
لَهُم
lahum
for them
مِّن
min
any
نَّـٰصِرِينَ
nāṣirīna
helpers
But those who wrong follow their [own] desires without knowledge. Then who can guide one whom Allāh has sent astray? And for them there are no helpers.

30:30
Ayah 30:30
فَأَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّينِ حَنِيفًا ۚ فِطْرَتَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّتِى فَطَرَ ٱلنَّاسَ عَلَيْهَا ۚ لَا تَبْدِيلَ لِخَلْقِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلْقَيِّمُ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
فَأَقِمْ
fa-aqim
So set
وَجْهَكَ
wajhaka
your face
لِلدِّينِ
lilddīni
to the religion
حَنِيفًا
ḥanīfan
upright
فِطْرَتَ
fiṭ'rata
Nature
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(made by) Allah
ٱلَّتِى
allatī
(upon) which
فَطَرَ
faṭara
He has created
ٱلنَّاسَ
l-nāsa
mankind
عَلَيْهَا
ʿalayhā
[on it]
لَا
No
تَبْدِيلَ
tabdīla
change
لِخَلْقِ
likhalqi
(should there be) in the creation
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
That
ٱلدِّينُ
l-dīnu
(is) the religion
ٱلْقَيِّمُ
l-qayimu
the correct
وَلَـٰكِنَّ
walākinna
but
أَكْثَرَ
akthara
most
ٱلنَّاسِ
l-nāsi
men
لَا
(do) not
يَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūna
know
So direct your face [i.e., self] toward the religion, inclining to truth. [Adhere to] the fiṭrah1 of Allāh upon which He has created [all] people. No change should there be in the creation of Allāh.2 That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know.

30:31
Ayah 30:31
۞ مُنِيبِينَ إِلَيْهِ وَٱتَّقُوهُ وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
مُنِيبِينَ
munībīna
Turning
إِلَيْهِ
ilayhi
to Him
وَٱتَّقُوهُ
wa-ittaqūhu
and fear Him
وَأَقِيمُوا۟
wa-aqīmū
and establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
l-ṣalata
the prayer
وَلَا
walā
and (do) not
تَكُونُوا۟
takūnū
be
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
l-mush'rikīna
the polytheists
[Adhere to it], turning in repentance to Him, and fear Him and establish prayer and do not be of those who associate others with Allāh

30:32
Ayah 30:32
مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا۟ دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا۟ شِيَعًا ۖ كُلُّ حِزْبٍۭ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ
مِنَ
mina
Of
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
فَرَّقُوا۟
farraqū
divide
دِينَهُمْ
dīnahum
their religion
وَكَانُوا۟
wakānū
and become
شِيَعًا
shiyaʿan
sects
كُلُّ
kullu
each
حِزْبٍۭ
ḥiz'bin
party
بِمَا
bimā
in what
لَدَيْهِمْ
ladayhim
they have
فَرِحُونَ
fariḥūna
rejoicing
[Or] of those who have divided their religion and become sects, every faction rejoicing in what it has.1

30:33
Ayah 30:33
وَإِذَا مَسَّ ٱلنَّاسَ ضُرٌّ دَعَوْا۟ رَبَّهُم مُّنِيبِينَ إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ إِذَآ أَذَاقَهُم مِّنْهُ رَحْمَةً إِذَا فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُم بِرَبِّهِمْ يُشْرِكُونَ
وَإِذَا
wa-idhā
And when
مَسَّ
massa
touches
ٱلنَّاسَ
l-nāsa
people
ضُرٌّ
ḍurrun
hardship
دَعَوْا۟
daʿaw
they call
رَبَّهُم
rabbahum
their Lord
مُّنِيبِينَ
munībīna
turning
إِلَيْهِ
ilayhi
to Him
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
إِذَآ
idhā
when
أَذَاقَهُم
adhāqahum
He causes them to taste
مِّنْهُ
min'hu
from Him
رَحْمَةً
raḥmatan
Mercy
إِذَا
idhā
behold
فَرِيقٌ
farīqun
A party
مِّنْهُم
min'hum
of them
بِرَبِّهِمْ
birabbihim
with their Lord
يُشْرِكُونَ
yush'rikūna
associate partners
And when adversity touches the people, they call upon their Lord, turning in repentance to Him. Then when He lets them taste mercy from Him, at once a party of them associate others with their Lord,

30:34
Ayah 30:34
لِيَكْفُرُوا۟ بِمَآ ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمْ ۚ فَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
لِيَكْفُرُوا۟
liyakfurū
So as to deny
بِمَآ
bimā
[in] what
ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمْ
ātaynāhum
We have granted them
فَتَمَتَّعُوا۟
fatamattaʿū
Then enjoy
فَسَوْفَ
fasawfa
but soon
تَعْلَمُونَ
taʿlamūna
you will know
So that they will deny what We have granted them.1 Then enjoy yourselves, for you are going to know.

30:35
Ayah 30:35
أَمْ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَـٰنًا فَهُوَ يَتَكَلَّمُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يُشْرِكُونَ
أَمْ
am
Or
أَنزَلْنَا
anzalnā
have We sent
عَلَيْهِمْ
ʿalayhim
to them
سُلْطَـٰنًا
sul'ṭānan
an authority
فَهُوَ
fahuwa
and it
يَتَكَلَّمُ
yatakallamu
speaks
بِمَا
bimā
of what
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they were
بِهِۦ
bihi
with Him
يُشْرِكُونَ
yush'rikūna
associating
Or have We sent down to them an authority [i.e., a proof or scripture], and it speaks of what they have been associating with Him?

30:36
Ayah 30:36
وَإِذَآ أَذَقْنَا ٱلنَّاسَ رَحْمَةً فَرِحُوا۟ بِهَا ۖ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌۢ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ إِذَا هُمْ يَقْنَطُونَ
وَإِذَآ
wa-idhā
And when
أَذَقْنَا
adhaqnā
We cause people to taste
ٱلنَّاسَ
l-nāsa
We cause people to taste
رَحْمَةً
raḥmatan
mercy
فَرِحُوا۟
fariḥū
they rejoice
بِهَا
bihā
therein
وَإِن
wa-in
But if
تُصِبْهُمْ
tuṣib'hum
afflicts them
سَيِّئَةٌۢ
sayyi-atun
an evil
بِمَا
bimā
for what
قَدَّمَتْ
qaddamat
have sent forth
أَيْدِيهِمْ
aydīhim
their hands
إِذَا
idhā
behold
هُمْ
hum
They
يَقْنَطُونَ
yaqnaṭūna
despair
And when We let the people taste mercy, they rejoice therein, but if evil afflicts them for what their hands have put forth, immediately they despair.

30:37
Ayah 30:37
أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَبْسُطُ ٱلرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيَقْدِرُ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ
أَوَلَمْ
awalam
Do not
يَرَوْا۟
yaraw
they see
أَنَّ
anna
that
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
يَبْسُطُ
yabsuṭu
extends
ٱلرِّزْقَ
l-riz'qa
the provision
لِمَن
liman
for whom
يَشَآءُ
yashāu
He wills
وَيَقْدِرُ
wayaqdiru
and straitens (it)
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
فِى
in
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
that
لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ
laāyātin
surely (are) Signs
لِّقَوْمٍ
liqawmin
for a people
يُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūna
who believe
Do they not see that Allāh extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it]? Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe.

30:38
Ayah 30:38
فَـَٔاتِ ذَا ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ حَقَّهُۥ وَٱلْمِسْكِينَ وَٱبْنَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ لِّلَّذِينَ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ
فَـَٔاتِ
faāti
So give
ذَا
dhā
the relative
ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ
l-qur'bā
the relative
حَقَّهُۥ
ḥaqqahu
his right
وَٱلْمِسْكِينَ
wal-mis'kīna
and the poor
وَٱبْنَ
wa-ib'na
and the wayfarer
ٱلسَّبِيلِ
l-sabīli
and the wayfarer
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
That
خَيْرٌ
khayrun
(is) best
لِّلَّذِينَ
lilladhīna
for those who
يُرِيدُونَ
yurīdūna
desire
وَجْهَ
wajha
(the) Countenance
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
وَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ
wa-ulāika
And those
هُمُ
humu
they
ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ
l-muf'liḥūna
(are) the successful ones
So give the relative his right, as well as the needy and the traveler. That is best for those who desire the face [i.e., approval] of Allāh, and it is they who will be the successful.

30:39
Ayah 30:39
وَمَآ ءَاتَيْتُم مِّن رِّبًا لِّيَرْبُوَا۟ فِىٓ أَمْوَٰلِ ٱلنَّاسِ فَلَا يَرْبُوا۟ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَمَآ ءَاتَيْتُم مِّن زَكَوٰةٍ تُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَ ٱللَّهِ فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُضْعِفُونَ
وَمَآ
wamā
And what
ءَاتَيْتُم
ātaytum
you give
مِّن
min
for
رِّبًا
riban
usury
لِّيَرْبُوَا۟
liyarbuwā
to increase
فِىٓ
in
أَمْوَٰلِ
amwāli
(the) wealth
ٱلنَّاسِ
l-nāsi
(of) people
فَلَا
falā
not
يَرْبُوا۟
yarbū
(will) increase
عِندَ
ʿinda
with
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
وَمَآ
wamā
But what
ءَاتَيْتُم
ātaytum
you give
مِّن
min
of
زَكَوٰةٍ
zakatin
zakah
تُرِيدُونَ
turīdūna
desiring
وَجْهَ
wajha
(the) Countenance
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ
fa-ulāika
then those
هُمُ
humu
[they]
ٱلْمُضْعِفُونَ
l-muḍ'ʿifūna
(will) get manifold
And whatever you give for interest [i.e., advantage] to increase within the wealth of people1 will not increase with Allāh. But what you give in zakāh,2 desiring the face [i.e., approval] of Allāh - those are the multipliers.3

30:40
Ayah 30:40
ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ رَزَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيكُمْ ۖ هَلْ مِن شُرَكَآئِكُم مَّن يَفْعَلُ مِن ذَٰلِكُم مِّن شَىْءٍ ۚ سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَـٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
(is) the One Who
خَلَقَكُمْ
khalaqakum
created you
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
رَزَقَكُمْ
razaqakum
He provided (for) you
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
يُمِيتُكُمْ
yumītukum
He will cause you to die
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
يُحْيِيكُمْ
yuḥ'yīkum
He will give you life
هَلْ
hal
Is (there)
مِن
min
any
شُرَكَآئِكُم
shurakāikum
(of) your partners
مَّن
man
who
يَفْعَلُ
yafʿalu
does
مِن
min
of
ذَٰلِكُم
dhālikum
that
مِّن
min
any
شَىْءٍ
shayin
thing
سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ
sub'ḥānahu
Glory be to Him
وَتَعَـٰلَىٰ
wataʿālā
and exalted is He
عَمَّا
ʿammā
above what
يُشْرِكُونَ
yush'rikūna
they associate
Allāh is the one who created you, then provided for you, then will cause you to die, and then will give you life. Are there any of your "partners" who does anything of that? Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him.

30:41
Ayah 30:41
ظَهَرَ ٱلْفَسَادُ فِى ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِى ٱلنَّاسِ لِيُذِيقَهُم بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى عَمِلُوا۟ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ
ظَهَرَ
ẓahara
Has appeared
ٱلْفَسَادُ
l-fasādu
the corruption
فِى
in
ٱلْبَرِّ
l-bari
the land
وَٱلْبَحْرِ
wal-baḥri
and the sea
بِمَا
bimā
for what
كَسَبَتْ
kasabat
have earned
أَيْدِى
aydī
(the) hands
ٱلنَّاسِ
l-nāsi
(of) people
لِيُذِيقَهُم
liyudhīqahum
so that He may let them taste
بَعْضَ
baʿḍa
a part
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
(of) that which
عَمِلُوا۟
ʿamilū
they have done
لَعَلَّهُمْ
laʿallahum
so that they may
يَرْجِعُونَ
yarjiʿūna
return
Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so He [i.e., Allāh] may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness].

30:42
Ayah 30:42
قُلْ سِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلُ ۚ كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّشْرِكِينَ
قُلْ
qul
Say
سِيرُوا۟
sīrū
Travel
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the earth
فَٱنظُرُوا۟
fa-unẓurū
and see
كَيْفَ
kayfa
how
كَانَ
kāna
was
عَـٰقِبَةُ
ʿāqibatu
(the) end
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
(of) those who
مِن
min
(were) before
قَبْلُ
qablu
(were) before
كَانَ
kāna
Most of them were
أَكْثَرُهُم
aktharuhum
Most of them were
مُّشْرِكِينَ
mush'rikīna
polytheists
Say, [O Muḥammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of those before. Most of them were associators [of others with Allāh].

30:43
Ayah 30:43
فَأَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّينِ ٱلْقَيِّمِ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِىَ يَوْمٌ لَّا مَرَدَّ لَهُۥ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَصَّدَّعُونَ
فَأَقِمْ
fa-aqim
So set
وَجْهَكَ
wajhaka
your face
لِلدِّينِ
lilddīni
to the religion
ٱلْقَيِّمِ
l-qayimi
right
مِن
min
before
قَبْلِ
qabli
before
أَن
an
[that]
يَأْتِىَ
yatiya
comes
يَوْمٌ
yawmun
a Day
لَّا
not
مَرَدَّ
maradda
(can be) averted
لَهُۥ
lahu
[it]
مِنَ
mina
from
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
يَوْمَئِذٍ
yawma-idhin
That Day
يَصَّدَّعُونَ
yaṣṣaddaʿūna
they will be divided
So direct your face [i.e., self] toward the correct religion before a Day comes from Allāh of which there is no repelling. That Day, they will be divided.1

30:44
Ayah 30:44
مَن كَفَرَ فَعَلَيْهِ كُفْرُهُۥ ۖ وَمَنْ عَمِلَ صَـٰلِحًا فَلِأَنفُسِهِمْ يَمْهَدُونَ
مَن
man
Whoever
كَفَرَ
kafara
disbelieves
فَعَلَيْهِ
faʿalayhi
then against him
كُفْرُهُۥ
kuf'ruhu
(is) his disbelief
وَمَنْ
waman
And whoever
عَمِلَ
ʿamila
does
صَـٰلِحًا
ṣāliḥan
righteousness
فَلِأَنفُسِهِمْ
fali-anfusihim
then for themselves
يَمْهَدُونَ
yamhadūna
they are preparing
Whoever disbelieves - upon him is [the consequence of] his disbelief. And whoever does righteousness - they are for themselves preparing,

30:45
Ayah 30:45
لِيَجْزِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ مِن فَضْلِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
لِيَجْزِىَ
liyajziya
That He may reward
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
ءَامَنُوا۟
āmanū
believe
وَعَمِلُوا۟
waʿamilū
and do
ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ
l-ṣāliḥāti
righteous deeds
مِن
min
(out) of
فَضْلِهِۦٓ
faḍlihi
His Bounty
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed, He
لَا
(does) not
يُحِبُّ
yuḥibbu
like
ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
l-kāfirīna
the disbelievers
That He may reward those who have believed and done righteous deeds out of His bounty. Indeed, He does not like the disbelievers.

30:46
Ayah 30:46
وَمِنْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦٓ أَن يُرْسِلَ ٱلرِّيَاحَ مُبَشِّرَٰتٍ وَلِيُذِيقَكُم مِّن رَّحْمَتِهِۦ وَلِتَجْرِىَ ٱلْفُلْكُ بِأَمْرِهِۦ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
وَمِنْ
wamin
And among
ءَايَـٰتِهِۦٓ
āyātihi
His Signs
أَن
an
(is) that
يُرْسِلَ
yur'sila
He sends
ٱلرِّيَاحَ
l-riyāḥa
the winds
مُبَشِّرَٰتٍ
mubashirātin
(as) bearers of glad tidings
وَلِيُذِيقَكُم
waliyudhīqakum
and to let you taste
مِّن
min
of
رَّحْمَتِهِۦ
raḥmatihi
His Mercy
وَلِتَجْرِىَ
walitajriya
and that may sail
ٱلْفُلْكُ
l-ful'ku
the ships
بِأَمْرِهِۦ
bi-amrihi
at His Command
وَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟
walitabtaghū
and that you may seek
مِن
min
of
فَضْلِهِۦ
faḍlihi
His Bounty
وَلَعَلَّكُمْ
walaʿallakum
and that you may
تَشْكُرُونَ
tashkurūna
be grateful
And of His signs is that He sends the winds as bringers of good tidings and to let you taste His mercy [i.e., rain] and so the ships may sail at His command and so you may seek of His bounty, and perhaps you will be grateful.

30:47
Ayah 30:47
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ رُسُلًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِمْ فَجَآءُوهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ فَٱنتَقَمْنَا مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا۟ ۖ وَكَانَ حَقًّا عَلَيْنَا نَصْرُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
وَلَقَدْ
walaqad
And verily
أَرْسَلْنَا
arsalnā
We sent
مِن
min
before you
قَبْلِكَ
qablika
before you
رُسُلًا
rusulan
Messengers
إِلَىٰ
ilā
to
قَوْمِهِمْ
qawmihim
their people
فَجَآءُوهُم
fajāūhum
and they came to them
بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ
bil-bayināti
with clear proofs
فَٱنتَقَمْنَا
fa-intaqamnā
then We took retribution
مِنَ
mina
from
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
أَجْرَمُوا۟
ajramū
committed crimes
وَكَانَ
wakāna
And it was
حَقًّا
ḥaqqan
incumbent
عَلَيْنَا
ʿalaynā
upon Us
نَصْرُ
naṣru
(to) help
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīna
the believers
And We have already sent messengers before you to their peoples, and they came to them with clear evidences; then We took retribution from those who committed crimes, and incumbent upon Us was support1 of the believers.

30:48
Ayah 30:48
ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى يُرْسِلُ ٱلرِّيَـٰحَ فَتُثِيرُ سَحَابًا فَيَبْسُطُهُۥ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَيْفَ يَشَآءُ وَيَجْعَلُهُۥ كِسَفًا فَتَرَى ٱلْوَدْقَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ خِلَـٰلِهِۦ ۖ فَإِذَآ أَصَابَ بِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦٓ إِذَا هُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
(is) the One Who
يُرْسِلُ
yur'silu
sends
ٱلرِّيَـٰحَ
l-riyāḥa
the winds
فَتُثِيرُ
fatuthīru
so they raise
سَحَابًا
saḥāban
(the) clouds
فَيَبْسُطُهُۥ
fayabsuṭuhu
then He spreads them
فِى
in
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
l-samāi
the sky
كَيْفَ
kayfa
how
يَشَآءُ
yashāu
He wills
وَيَجْعَلُهُۥ
wayajʿaluhu
and He makes them
كِسَفًا
kisafan
fragments
فَتَرَى
fatarā
so you see
ٱلْوَدْقَ
l-wadqa
the rain
يَخْرُجُ
yakhruju
coming forth
مِنْ
min
from
خِلَـٰلِهِۦ
khilālihi
their midst
فَإِذَآ
fa-idhā
Then when
أَصَابَ
aṣāba
He causes it to fall on
بِهِۦ
bihi
He causes it to fall on
مَن
man
whom
يَشَآءُ
yashāu
He wills
مِنْ
min
of
عِبَادِهِۦٓ
ʿibādihi
His slaves
إِذَا
idhā
behold
هُمْ
hum
They
يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ
yastabshirūna
rejoice
It is Allāh who sends the winds, and they stir the clouds and spread them in the sky however He wills, and He makes them fragments so you see the rain emerge from within them. And when He causes it to fall upon whom He wills of His servants, immediately they rejoice

30:49
Ayah 30:49
وَإِن كَانُوا۟ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْهِم مِّن قَبْلِهِۦ لَمُبْلِسِينَ
وَإِن
wa-in
And certainly
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they were
مِن
min
before
قَبْلِ
qabli
before
أَن
an
[that]
يُنَزَّلَ
yunazzala
it was sent down
عَلَيْهِم
ʿalayhim
upon them
مِّن
min
[before it]
قَبْلِهِۦ
qablihi
[before it]
لَمُبْلِسِينَ
lamub'lisīna
surely in despair
Although they were, before it was sent down upon them - before that, in despair.

30:50
Ayah 30:50
فَٱنظُرْ إِلَىٰٓ ءَاثَـٰرِ رَحْمَتِ ٱللَّهِ كَيْفَ يُحْىِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَآ ۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ ۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
فَٱنظُرْ
fa-unẓur
So look
إِلَىٰٓ
ilā
at
ءَاثَـٰرِ
āthāri
(the) effects
رَحْمَتِ
raḥmati
(of the) Mercy
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
كَيْفَ
kayfa
how
يُحْىِ
yuḥ'yī
He gives life
ٱلْأَرْضَ
l-arḍa
(to) the earth
بَعْدَ
baʿda
after
مَوْتِهَآ
mawtihā
its death
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
that
لَمُحْىِ
lamuḥ'yī
surely He (will) give life
ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ
l-mawtā
(to) the dead
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
And He
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
(is) on
كُلِّ
kulli
every
شَىْءٍ
shayin
thing
قَدِيرٌ
qadīrun
All-Powerful
So observe the effects of the mercy of Allāh - how He gives life to the earth after its lifelessness. Indeed, that [same one] will give life to the dead, and He is over all things competent.

30:51
Ayah 30:51
وَلَئِنْ أَرْسَلْنَا رِيحًا فَرَأَوْهُ مُصْفَرًّا لَّظَلُّوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ يَكْفُرُونَ
وَلَئِنْ
wala-in
But if
أَرْسَلْنَا
arsalnā
We sent
رِيحًا
rīḥan
a wind
فَرَأَوْهُ
fara-awhu
and they see it
مُصْفَرًّا
muṣ'farran
turn yellow
لَّظَلُّوا۟
laẓallū
certainly they continue
مِنۢ
min
after it
بَعْدِهِۦ
baʿdihi
after it
يَكْفُرُونَ
yakfurūna
(in) disbelief
But if We should send a [bad] wind and they saw [their crops] turned yellow, they would remain thereafter disbelievers.1

30:52
Ayah 30:52
فَإِنَّكَ لَا تُسْمِعُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَلَا تُسْمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ ٱلدُّعَآءَ إِذَا وَلَّوْا۟ مُدْبِرِينَ
فَإِنَّكَ
fa-innaka
So indeed, you
لَا
(can) not
تُسْمِعُ
tus'miʿu
make the dead hear
ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ
l-mawtā
make the dead hear
وَلَا
walā
and not
تُسْمِعُ
tus'miʿu
make the deaf hear
ٱلصُّمَّ
l-ṣuma
make the deaf hear
ٱلدُّعَآءَ
l-duʿāa
the call
إِذَا
idhā
when
وَلَّوْا۟
wallaw
they turn
مُدْبِرِينَ
mud'birīna
retreating
So indeed, you will not make the dead hear, nor will you make the deaf hear the call when they turn their backs, retreating.

30:53
Ayah 30:53
وَمَآ أَنتَ بِهَـٰدِ ٱلْعُمْىِ عَن ضَلَـٰلَتِهِمْ ۖ إِن تُسْمِعُ إِلَّا مَن يُؤْمِنُ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا فَهُم مُّسْلِمُونَ
وَمَآ
wamā
And not
أَنتَ
anta
you
بِهَـٰدِ
bihādi
can guide
ٱلْعُمْىِ
l-ʿum'yi
the blind
عَن
ʿan
from
ضَلَـٰلَتِهِمْ
ḍalālatihim
their error
إِن
in
Not
تُسْمِعُ
tus'miʿu
you can make hear
إِلَّا
illā
except
مَن
man
(those) who
يُؤْمِنُ
yu'minu
believe
بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا
biāyātinā
in Our Verses
فَهُم
fahum
so they
مُّسْلِمُونَ
mus'limūna
surrender
And you cannot guide the blind away from their error. You will only make hear those who believe in Our verses so they are Muslims [in submission to Allāh].

30:54
Ayah 30:54
۞ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُم مِّن ضَعْفٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ضَعْفٍ قُوَّةً ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ قُوَّةٍ ضَعْفًا وَشَيْبَةً ۚ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ٱلْقَدِيرُ
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
(is) the One Who
خَلَقَكُم
khalaqakum
created you
مِّن
min
from
ضَعْفٍ
ḍaʿfin
weakness
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
جَعَلَ
jaʿala
made
مِنۢ
min
after
بَعْدِ
baʿdi
after
ضَعْفٍ
ḍaʿfin
weakness
قُوَّةً
quwwatan
strength
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
جَعَلَ
jaʿala
made
مِنۢ
min
after
بَعْدِ
baʿdi
after
قُوَّةٍ
quwwatin
strength
ضَعْفًا
ḍaʿfan
weakness
وَشَيْبَةً
washaybatan
and gray hair
يَخْلُقُ
yakhluqu
He creates
مَا
what
يَشَآءُ
yashāu
He wills
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and He
ٱلْعَلِيمُ
l-ʿalīmu
(is) the All-Knower
ٱلْقَدِيرُ
l-qadīru
the All-Powerful
Allāh is the one who created you from weakness, then made after weakness strength, then made after strength weakness and white hair. He creates what He wills, and He is the Knowing, the Competent.

30:55
Ayah 30:55
وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يُقْسِمُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ مَا لَبِثُوا۟ غَيْرَ سَاعَةٍ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ كَانُوا۟ يُؤْفَكُونَ
وَيَوْمَ
wayawma
And (the) Day
تَقُومُ
taqūmu
will (be) established
ٱلسَّاعَةُ
l-sāʿatu
the Hour
يُقْسِمُ
yuq'simu
will swear
ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
l-muj'rimūna
the criminals
مَا
not
لَبِثُوا۟
labithū
they remained
غَيْرَ
ghayra
but
سَاعَةٍ
sāʿatin
an hour
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhālika
Thus
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they were
يُؤْفَكُونَ
yu'fakūna
deluded
And the Day the Hour appears the criminals will swear they had remained but an hour. Thus they were deluded.

30:56
Ayah 30:56
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْعِلْمَ وَٱلْإِيمَـٰنَ لَقَدْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِى كِتَـٰبِ ٱللَّهِ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْبَعْثِ ۖ فَهَـٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْبَعْثِ وَلَـٰكِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
وَقَالَ
waqāla
But will say
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
أُوتُوا۟
ūtū
were given
ٱلْعِلْمَ
l-ʿil'ma
the knowledge
وَٱلْإِيمَـٰنَ
wal-īmāna
and the faith
لَقَدْ
laqad
Verily
لَبِثْتُمْ
labith'tum
you remained
فِى
by
كِتَـٰبِ
kitābi
(the) Decree
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
إِلَىٰ
ilā
until
يَوْمِ
yawmi
(the) Day
ٱلْبَعْثِ
l-baʿthi
(of) Resurrection
فَهَـٰذَا
fahādhā
And this
يَوْمُ
yawmu
(is the) Day
ٱلْبَعْثِ
l-baʿthi
(of) the Resurrection
وَلَـٰكِنَّكُمْ
walākinnakum
but you
كُنتُمْ
kuntum
were
لَا
not
تَعْلَمُونَ
taʿlamūna
knowing
But those who were given knowledge and faith will say, "You remained the extent of Allāh's decree until the Day of Resurrection, and this is the Day of Resurrection, but you did not used to know."1

30:57
Ayah 30:57
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يَنفَعُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ
fayawma-idhin
So that Day
لَّا
not
يَنفَعُ
yanfaʿu
will profit
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
ظَلَمُوا۟
ẓalamū
wronged
مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ
maʿdhiratuhum
their excuses
وَلَا
walā
and not
هُمْ
hum
they
يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ
yus'taʿtabūna
will be allowed to make amends
So that Day, their excuse will not benefit those who wronged, nor will they be asked to appease [Allāh].

30:58
Ayah 30:58
وَلَقَدْ ضَرَبْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِى هَـٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍ ۚ وَلَئِن جِئْتَهُم بِـَٔايَةٍ لَّيَقُولَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا مُبْطِلُونَ
وَلَقَدْ
walaqad
And verily
ضَرَبْنَا
ḍarabnā
We (have) set forth
لِلنَّاسِ
lilnnāsi
for mankind
فِى
in
هَـٰذَا
hādhā
this
ٱلْقُرْءَانِ
l-qur'āni
[the] Quran
مِن
min
of
كُلِّ
kulli
every
مَثَلٍ
mathalin
example
وَلَئِن
wala-in
But if
جِئْتَهُم
ji'tahum
you bring them
بِـَٔايَةٍ
biāyatin
a sign
لَّيَقُولَنَّ
layaqūlanna
surely will say
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
كَفَرُوٓا۟
kafarū
disbelieve
إِنْ
in
Not
أَنتُمْ
antum
you
إِلَّا
illā
(are) except
مُبْطِلُونَ
mub'ṭilūna
falsifiers
And We have certainly presented to the people in this Qur’ān from every [kind of] example. But, [O Muḥammad], if you should bring them a sign, the disbelievers will surely say, "You [believers] are but falsifiers."

30:59
Ayah 30:59
كَذَٰلِكَ يَطْبَعُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhālika
Thus
يَطْبَعُ
yaṭbaʿu
Allah seals
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah seals
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
[on]
قُلُوبِ
qulūbi
(the) hearts
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
(of) those who
لَا
(do) not
يَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūna
know
Thus does Allāh seal the hearts of those who do not know.1

30:60
Ayah 30:60
فَٱصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّ ۖ وَلَا يَسْتَخِفَّنَّكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُوقِنُونَ
فَٱصْبِرْ
fa-iṣ'bir
So be patient
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
وَعْدَ
waʿda
(the) Promise
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
حَقٌّ
ḥaqqun
(is) true
وَلَا
walā
And (let) not
يَسْتَخِفَّنَّكَ
yastakhiffannaka
take you in light estimation
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
لَا
(are) not
يُوقِنُونَ
yūqinūna
certain in faith
So be patient. Indeed, the promise of Allāh is truth. And let them not disquiet you who are not certain [in faith].
