Ayah 41:2
تَنزِيلٌ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
تَنزِيلٌ
tanzīlun
A revelation
مِّنَ
mina
from
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ
l-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious
ٱلرَّحِيمِ
l-raḥīmi
the Most Merciful
[This is] a revelation from the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful -

41:3
Ayah 41:3
كِتَـٰبٌ فُصِّلَتْ ءَايَـٰتُهُۥ قُرْءَانًا عَرَبِيًّا لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ
كِتَـٰبٌ
kitābun
A Book
فُصِّلَتْ
fuṣṣilat
are detailed
ءَايَـٰتُهُۥ
āyātuhu
its Verses
قُرْءَانًا
qur'ānan
a Quran
عَرَبِيًّا
ʿarabiyyan
(in) Arabic
لِّقَوْمٍ
liqawmin
for a people
يَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūna
(who) know
A Book whose verses have been detailed, an Arabic Qur’ān1 for a people who know,

41:4
Ayah 41:4
بَشِيرًا وَنَذِيرًا فَأَعْرَضَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُونَ
بَشِيرًا
bashīran
A giver of glad tidings
وَنَذِيرًا
wanadhīran
and a warner
فَأَعْرَضَ
fa-aʿraḍa
but turn away
أَكْثَرُهُمْ
aktharuhum
most of them
فَهُمْ
fahum
so they
لَا
(do) not
يَسْمَعُونَ
yasmaʿūna
hear
As a giver of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear.

41:5
Ayah 41:5
وَقَالُوا۟ قُلُوبُنَا فِىٓ أَكِنَّةٍ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَآ إِلَيْهِ وَفِىٓ ءَاذَانِنَا وَقْرٌ وَمِنۢ بَيْنِنَا وَبَيْنِكَ حِجَابٌ فَٱعْمَلْ إِنَّنَا عَـٰمِلُونَ
وَقَالُوا۟
waqālū
And they say
قُلُوبُنَا
qulūbunā
Our hearts
فِىٓ
(are) in
أَكِنَّةٍ
akinnatin
coverings
مِّمَّا
mimmā
from what
تَدْعُونَآ
tadʿūnā
you call us
إِلَيْهِ
ilayhi
to it
وَفِىٓ
wafī
and in
ءَاذَانِنَا
ādhāninā
our ears
وَقْرٌ
waqrun
(is) deafness
وَمِنۢ
wamin
and between us
بَيْنِنَا
bayninā
and between us
وَبَيْنِكَ
wabaynika
and between you
حِجَابٌ
ḥijābun
(is) a screen
فَٱعْمَلْ
fa-iʿ'mal
So work
إِنَّنَا
innanā
indeed, we
عَـٰمِلُونَ
ʿāmilūna
(are) working
And they say, "Our hearts are within coverings [i.e., screened] from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a partition, so work;1 indeed, we are working."

41:6
Ayah 41:6
قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ أَنَّمَآ إِلَـٰهُكُمْ إِلَـٰهٌ وَٰحِدٌ فَٱسْتَقِيمُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ وَٱسْتَغْفِرُوهُ ۗ وَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُشْرِكِينَ
قُلْ
qul
Say
إِنَّمَآ
innamā
Only
أَنَا۠
anā
I am
بَشَرٌ
basharun
a man
مِّثْلُكُمْ
mith'lukum
like you
يُوحَىٰٓ
yūḥā
it is revealed
إِلَىَّ
ilayya
to me
أَنَّمَآ
annamā
that
إِلَـٰهُكُمْ
ilāhukum
your god
إِلَـٰهٌ
ilāhun
(is) God
وَٰحِدٌ
wāḥidun
One
فَٱسْتَقِيمُوٓا۟
fa-is'taqīmū
so take a Straight Path
إِلَيْهِ
ilayhi
to Him
وَٱسْتَغْفِرُوهُ
wa-is'taghfirūhu
and ask His forgiveness
وَوَيْلٌ
wawaylun
And woe
لِّلْمُشْرِكِينَ
lil'mush'rikīna
to the polytheists
Say, [O Muḥammad], "I am only a man like you to whom it has been revealed that your god is but one God; so take a straight course to Him and seek His forgiveness." And woe to those who associate others with Allāh

41:7
Ayah 41:7
ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَهُم بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ هُمْ كَـٰفِرُونَ
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
Those who
لَا
(do) not
يُؤْتُونَ
yu'tūna
give
ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ
l-zakata
the zakah
وَهُم
wahum
and they
بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
bil-ākhirati
in the Hereafter
هُمْ
hum
they
كَـٰفِرُونَ
kāfirūna
(are) disbelievers
Those who do not give zakāh, and in the Hereafter they are disbelievers.

41:8
Ayah 41:8
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
ءَامَنُوا۟
āmanū
believe
وَعَمِلُوا۟
waʿamilū
and do
ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ
l-ṣāliḥāti
righteous deeds
لَهُمْ
lahum
for them
أَجْرٌ
ajrun
(is) a reward
غَيْرُ
ghayru
never ending
مَمْنُونٍ
mamnūnin
never ending
Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds - for them is a reward uninterrupted.

41:9
Ayah 41:9
۞ قُلْ أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَكْفُرُونَ بِٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْأَرْضَ فِى يَوْمَيْنِ وَتَجْعَلُونَ لَهُۥٓ أَندَادًا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ رَبُّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
قُلْ
qul
Say
أَئِنَّكُمْ
a-innakum
Do you indeed
لَتَكْفُرُونَ
latakfurūna
[surely] disbelieve
بِٱلَّذِى
bi-alladhī
in the One Who
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
created
ٱلْأَرْضَ
l-arḍa
the earth
فِى
in
يَوْمَيْنِ
yawmayni
two periods
وَتَجْعَلُونَ
watajʿalūna
and you set up
لَهُۥٓ
lahu
with Him
أَندَادًا
andādan
rivals
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
That
رَبُّ
rabbu
(is the) Lord
ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīna
(of) the worlds
Say, "Do you indeed disbelieve in He who created the earth in two days and attribute to Him equals? That is the Lord of the worlds."

41:10
Ayah 41:10
وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ مِن فَوْقِهَا وَبَـٰرَكَ فِيهَا وَقَدَّرَ فِيهَآ أَقْوَٰتَهَا فِىٓ أَرْبَعَةِ أَيَّامٍ سَوَآءً لِّلسَّآئِلِينَ
وَجَعَلَ
wajaʿala
And He placed
فِيهَا
fīhā
therein
رَوَٰسِىَ
rawāsiya
firmly-set mountains
مِن
min
above it
فَوْقِهَا
fawqihā
above it
وَبَـٰرَكَ
wabāraka
and He blessed
فِيهَا
fīhā
therein
وَقَدَّرَ
waqaddara
and determined
فِيهَآ
fīhā
therein
أَقْوَٰتَهَا
aqwātahā
its sustenance
فِىٓ
in
أَرْبَعَةِ
arbaʿati
four
أَيَّامٍ
ayyāmin
periods
سَوَآءً
sawāan
equal
لِّلسَّآئِلِينَ
lilssāilīna
for those who ask
And He placed on it [i.e., the earth] firmly set mountains over its surface, and He blessed it and determined therein its [creatures'] sustenance in four days without distinction1 - for [the information of] those who ask.

41:11
Ayah 41:11
ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰٓ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَهِىَ دُخَانٌ فَقَالَ لَهَا وَلِلْأَرْضِ ٱئْتِيَا طَوْعًا أَوْ كَرْهًا قَالَتَآ أَتَيْنَا طَآئِعِينَ
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
ٱسْتَوَىٰٓ
is'tawā
He directed (Himself)
إِلَى
ilā
towards
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
l-samāi
the heaven
وَهِىَ
wahiya
while it (was)
دُخَانٌ
dukhānun
smoke
فَقَالَ
faqāla
and He said
لَهَا
lahā
to it
وَلِلْأَرْضِ
walil'arḍi
and to the earth
ٱئْتِيَا
i'tiyā
Come both of you
طَوْعًا
ṭawʿan
willingly
أَوْ
aw
or
كَرْهًا
karhan
unwillingly
قَالَتَآ
qālatā
They both said
أَتَيْنَا
ataynā
We come
طَآئِعِينَ
ṭāiʿīna
willingly
Then He directed Himself1 to the heaven while it was smoke and said to it and to the earth, "Come [into being],2 willingly or by compulsion." They said, "We have come willingly."

41:12
Ayah 41:12
فَقَضَىٰهُنَّ سَبْعَ سَمَـٰوَاتٍ فِى يَوْمَيْنِ وَأَوْحَىٰ فِى كُلِّ سَمَآءٍ أَمْرَهَا ۚ وَزَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنْيَا بِمَصَـٰبِيحَ وَحِفْظًا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْعَلِيمِ
فَقَضَىٰهُنَّ
faqaḍāhunna
Then He completed them
سَبْعَ
sabʿa
(as) seven
سَمَـٰوَاتٍ
samāwātin
heavens
فِى
in
يَوْمَيْنِ
yawmayni
two periods
وَأَوْحَىٰ
wa-awḥā
and He revealed
فِى
in
كُلِّ
kulli
each
سَمَآءٍ
samāin
heaven
أَمْرَهَا
amrahā
its affair
وَزَيَّنَّا
wazayyannā
And We adorned
ٱلسَّمَآءَ
l-samāa
the heaven
ٱلدُّنْيَا
l-dun'yā
[the world]
بِمَصَـٰبِيحَ
bimaṣābīḥa
with lamps
وَحِفْظًا
waḥif'ẓan
and (to) guard
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
That
تَقْدِيرُ
taqdīru
(is the) Decree
ٱلْعَزِيزِ
l-ʿazīzi
(of) the All-Mighty
ٱلْعَلِيمِ
l-ʿalīmi
the All-Knower
And He completed them as seven heavens within two days and inspired [i.e., made known] in each heaven its command. And We adorned the nearest heaven with lamps [i.e., stars, for beauty] and as protection.1 That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.

41:13
Ayah 41:13
فَإِنْ أَعْرَضُوا۟ فَقُلْ أَنذَرْتُكُمْ صَـٰعِقَةً مِّثْلَ صَـٰعِقَةِ عَادٍ وَثَمُودَ
فَإِنْ
fa-in
But if
أَعْرَضُوا۟
aʿraḍū
they turn away
فَقُلْ
faqul
then say
أَنذَرْتُكُمْ
andhartukum
I have warned you
صَـٰعِقَةً
ṣāʿiqatan
(of) a thunderbolt
مِّثْلَ
mith'la
like
صَـٰعِقَةِ
ṣāʿiqati
(the) thunderbolt
عَادٍ
ʿādin
(of) Aad
وَثَمُودَ
wathamūda
and Thamud
But if they turn away, then say, "I have warned you of a thunderbolt like the thunderbolt [that struck] ʿAad and Thamūd.

41:14
Ayah 41:14
إِذْ جَآءَتْهُمُ ٱلرُّسُلُ مِنۢ بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوٓا۟ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ ۖ قَالُوا۟ لَوْ شَآءَ رَبُّنَا لَأَنزَلَ مَلَـٰٓئِكَةً فَإِنَّا بِمَآ أُرْسِلْتُم بِهِۦ كَـٰفِرُونَ
إِذْ
idh
When
جَآءَتْهُمُ
jāathumu
came to them
ٱلرُّسُلُ
l-rusulu
the Messengers
مِنۢ
min
from before them
بَيْنِ
bayni
from before them
أَيْدِيهِمْ
aydīhim
from before them
وَمِنْ
wamin
and from
خَلْفِهِمْ
khalfihim
behind them
أَلَّا
allā
(saying) "Do not
تَعْبُدُوٓا۟
taʿbudū
worship
إِلَّا
illā
except
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
قَالُوا۟
qālū
They said
لَوْ
law
If
شَآءَ
shāa
(had) willed
رَبُّنَا
rabbunā
our Lord
لَأَنزَلَ
la-anzala
surely, He (would have) sent down
مَلَـٰٓئِكَةً
malāikatan
Angels
فَإِنَّا
fa-innā
So indeed, we
بِمَآ
bimā
in what
أُرْسِلْتُم
ur'sil'tum
you have been sent
بِهِۦ
bihi
with
كَـٰفِرُونَ
kāfirūna
(are) disbelievers
[That occurred] when the messengers had come to them before them and after them, [saying], "Worship not except Allāh." They said, "If our Lord had willed,1 He would have sent down the angels, so indeed we, in that with which you have been sent, are disbelievers."

41:15
Ayah 41:15
فَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ وَقَالُوا۟ مَنْ أَشَدُّ مِنَّا قُوَّةً ۖ أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَهُمْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً ۖ وَكَانُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ
فَأَمَّا
fa-ammā
Then as for
عَادٌ
ʿādun
Aad
فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟
fa-is'takbarū
they were arrogant
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the land
بِغَيْرِ
bighayri
without
ٱلْحَقِّ
l-ḥaqi
[the] right
وَقَالُوا۟
waqālū
and they said
مَنْ
man
Who
أَشَدُّ
ashaddu
(is) mightier
مِنَّا
minnā
than us
قُوَّةً
quwwatan
(in) strength
أَوَلَمْ
awalam
Do not
يَرَوْا۟
yaraw
they see
أَنَّ
anna
that
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
the One Who
خَلَقَهُمْ
khalaqahum
created them
هُوَ
huwa
He
أَشَدُّ
ashaddu
(is) Mightier
مِنْهُمْ
min'hum
than them
قُوَّةً
quwwatan
(in) strength
وَكَانُوا۟
wakānū
But they used to
بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا
biāyātinā
in Our Signs
يَجْحَدُونَ
yajḥadūna
deny
As for ʿAad, they were arrogant upon the earth without right and said, "Who is greater than us in strength?" Did they not consider that Allāh who created them was greater than them in strength? But they were rejecting Our signs.

41:16
Ayah 41:16
فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا فِىٓ أَيَّامٍ نَّحِسَاتٍ لِّنُذِيقَهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْخِزْىِ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ أَخْزَىٰ ۖ وَهُمْ لَا يُنصَرُونَ
فَأَرْسَلْنَا
fa-arsalnā
So We sent
عَلَيْهِمْ
ʿalayhim
upon them
رِيحًا
rīḥan
a wind
صَرْصَرًا
ṣarṣaran
furious
فِىٓ
in
أَيَّامٍ
ayyāmin
(the) days
نَّحِسَاتٍ
naḥisātin
(of) misfortune
لِّنُذِيقَهُمْ
linudhīqahum
that We may make them taste
عَذَابَ
ʿadhāba
(the) punishment
ٱلْخِزْىِ
l-khiz'yi
(of) disgrace
فِى
in
ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
l-ḥayati
the life
ٱلدُّنْيَا
l-dun'yā
(of) the world
وَلَعَذَابُ
walaʿadhābu
And surely, (the) punishment
ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
l-ākhirati
(of) the Hereafter
أَخْزَىٰ
akhzā
(is) more disgracing
وَهُمْ
wahum
and they
لَا
will not be helped
يُنصَرُونَ
yunṣarūna
will not be helped
So We sent upon them a screaming wind during days of misfortune to make them taste the punishment of disgrace in the worldly life; but the punishment of the Hereafter is more disgracing, and they will not be helped.

41:17
Ayah 41:17
وَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَهَدَيْنَـٰهُمْ فَٱسْتَحَبُّوا۟ ٱلْعَمَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْهُدَىٰ فَأَخَذَتْهُمْ صَـٰعِقَةُ ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْهُونِ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ
وَأَمَّا
wa-ammā
And as for
ثَمُودُ
thamūdu
Thamud
فَهَدَيْنَـٰهُمْ
fahadaynāhum
We guided them
فَٱسْتَحَبُّوا۟
fa-is'taḥabbū
but they preferred
ٱلْعَمَىٰ
l-ʿamā
[the] blindness
عَلَى
ʿalā
over
ٱلْهُدَىٰ
l-hudā
the guidance
فَأَخَذَتْهُمْ
fa-akhadhathum
so seized them
صَـٰعِقَةُ
ṣāʿiqatu
a thunderbolt
ٱلْعَذَابِ
l-ʿadhābi
(of) the punishment
ٱلْهُونِ
l-hūni
humiliating
بِمَا
bimā
for what
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they used to
يَكْسِبُونَ
yaksibūna
earn
And as for Thamūd, We guided them, but they preferred blindness over guidance, so the thunderbolt of humiliating punishment seized them for what they used to earn.

41:18
Ayah 41:18
وَنَجَّيْنَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ يَتَّقُونَ
وَنَجَّيْنَا
wanajjaynā
And We saved
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
ءَامَنُوا۟
āmanū
believed
وَكَانُوا۟
wakānū
and used to
يَتَّقُونَ
yattaqūna
fear (Allah)
And We saved those who believed and used to fear Allāh.

41:19
Ayah 41:19
وَيَوْمَ يُحْشَرُ أَعْدَآءُ ٱللَّهِ إِلَى ٱلنَّارِ فَهُمْ يُوزَعُونَ
وَيَوْمَ
wayawma
And (the) Day
يُحْشَرُ
yuḥ'sharu
will be gathered
أَعْدَآءُ
aʿdāu
(the) enemies
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
إِلَى
ilā
to
ٱلنَّارِ
l-nāri
the Fire
فَهُمْ
fahum
then they
يُوزَعُونَ
yūzaʿūna
will be assembled in rows
And [mention, O Muḥammad], the Day when the enemies of Allāh will be gathered to the Fire while they are [driven], assembled in rows,

41:20
Ayah 41:20
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا مَا جَآءُوهَا شَهِدَ عَلَيْهِمْ سَمْعُهُمْ وَأَبْصَـٰرُهُمْ وَجُلُودُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
حَتَّىٰٓ
ḥattā
Until
إِذَا
idhā
when
مَا
when
جَآءُوهَا
jāūhā
they come to it
شَهِدَ
shahida
(will) testify
عَلَيْهِمْ
ʿalayhim
against them
سَمْعُهُمْ
samʿuhum
their hearing
وَأَبْصَـٰرُهُمْ
wa-abṣāruhum
and their sight
وَجُلُودُهُم
wajulūduhum
and their skins
بِمَا
bimā
(as) to what
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they used to
يَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūna
do
Until, when they reach it, their hearing and their eyes and their skins will testify against them of what they used to do.

41:21
Ayah 41:21
وَقَالُوا۟ لِجُلُودِهِمْ لِمَ شَهِدتُّمْ عَلَيْنَا ۖ قَالُوٓا۟ أَنطَقَنَا ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنطَقَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ وَهُوَ خَلَقَكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
وَقَالُوا۟
waqālū
And they will say
لِجُلُودِهِمْ
lijulūdihim
to their skins
لِمَ
lima
Why do
شَهِدتُّمْ
shahidttum
you testify
عَلَيْنَا
ʿalaynā
against us
قَالُوٓا۟
qālū
They will say
أَنطَقَنَا
anṭaqanā
Allah made us speak
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah made us speak
ٱلَّذِىٓ
alladhī
the One Who
أَنطَقَ
anṭaqa
makes speak
كُلَّ
kulla
every
شَىْءٍ
shayin
thing
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and He
خَلَقَكُمْ
khalaqakum
created you
أَوَّلَ
awwala
(the) first
مَرَّةٍ
marratin
time
وَإِلَيْهِ
wa-ilayhi
and to Him
تُرْجَعُونَ
tur'jaʿūna
you will be returned
And they will say to their skins, "Why have you testified against us?" They will say, "We were made to speak by Allāh, who has made everything speak; and He created you the first time, and to Him you are returned.

41:22
Ayah 41:22
وَمَا كُنتُمْ تَسْتَتِرُونَ أَن يَشْهَدَ عَلَيْكُمْ سَمْعُكُمْ وَلَآ أَبْصَـٰرُكُمْ وَلَا جُلُودُكُمْ وَلَـٰكِن ظَنَنتُمْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَعْلَمُ كَثِيرًا مِّمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ
وَمَا
wamā
And not
كُنتُمْ
kuntum
you were
تَسْتَتِرُونَ
tastatirūna
covering yourselves
أَن
an
lest
يَشْهَدَ
yashhada
testify
عَلَيْكُمْ
ʿalaykum
against you
سَمْعُكُمْ
samʿukum
your hearing
وَلَآ
walā
and not
أَبْصَـٰرُكُمْ
abṣārukum
your sight
وَلَا
walā
and not
جُلُودُكُمْ
julūdukum
your skins
وَلَـٰكِن
walākin
but
ظَنَنتُمْ
ẓanantum
you assumed
أَنَّ
anna
that
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
لَا
(does) not
يَعْلَمُ
yaʿlamu
know
كَثِيرًا
kathīran
much
مِّمَّا
mimmā
of what
تَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūna
you do
And you were not covering [i.e., protecting] yourselves,1 lest your hearing testify against you or your sight or your skins, but you assumed that Allāh does not know much of what you do.

41:23
Ayah 41:23
وَذَٰلِكُمْ ظَنُّكُمُ ٱلَّذِى ظَنَنتُم بِرَبِّكُمْ أَرْدَىٰكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُم مِّنَ ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ
وَذَٰلِكُمْ
wadhālikum
And that
ظَنُّكُمُ
ẓannukumu
(was) your assumption
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
which
ظَنَنتُم
ẓanantum
you assumed
بِرَبِّكُمْ
birabbikum
about your Lord
أَرْدَىٰكُمْ
ardākum
It has ruined you
فَأَصْبَحْتُم
fa-aṣbaḥtum
and you have become
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ
l-khāsirīna
the losers
And that was your assumption which you assumed about your Lord. It has brought you to ruin, and you have become among the losers."

41:24
Ayah 41:24
فَإِن يَصْبِرُوا۟ فَٱلنَّارُ مَثْوًى لَّهُمْ ۖ وَإِن يَسْتَعْتِبُوا۟ فَمَا هُم مِّنَ ٱلْمُعْتَبِينَ
فَإِن
fa-in
Then if
يَصْبِرُوا۟
yaṣbirū
they endure
فَٱلنَّارُ
fal-nāru
the Fire
مَثْوًى
mathwan
(is) an abode
لَّهُمْ
lahum
for them
وَإِن
wa-in
and if
يَسْتَعْتِبُوا۟
yastaʿtibū
they ask for favor
فَمَا
famā
then not
هُم
hum
they
مِّنَ
mina
(will be) of
ٱلْمُعْتَبِينَ
l-muʿ'tabīna
those who receive favor
So [even] if they are patient, the Fire is a residence for them; and if they ask to appease [Allāh], they will not be of those who are allowed to appease.

41:25
Ayah 41:25
۞ وَقَيَّضْنَا لَهُمْ قُرَنَآءَ فَزَيَّنُوا۟ لَهُم مَّا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَحَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقَوْلُ فِىٓ أُمَمٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ خَـٰسِرِينَ
وَقَيَّضْنَا
waqayyaḍnā
And We have destined
لَهُمْ
lahum
for them
قُرَنَآءَ
quranāa
companions
فَزَيَّنُوا۟
fazayyanū
(who) made fair-seeming
لَهُم
lahum
to them
مَّا
what
بَيْنَ
bayna
(was) before them
أَيْدِيهِمْ
aydīhim
(was) before them
وَمَا
wamā
and what
خَلْفَهُمْ
khalfahum
(was) behind them
وَحَقَّ
waḥaqqa
and (is) justified
عَلَيْهِمُ
ʿalayhimu
against them
ٱلْقَوْلُ
l-qawlu
the Word
فِىٓ
among
أُمَمٍ
umamin
nations
قَدْ
qad
(that have) passed away
خَلَتْ
khalat
(that have) passed away
مِن
min
before them
قَبْلِهِم
qablihim
before them
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلْجِنِّ
l-jini
the jinn
وَٱلْإِنسِ
wal-insi
and the men
إِنَّهُمْ
innahum
Indeed, they
كَانُوا۟
kānū
were
خَـٰسِرِينَ
khāsirīna
losers
And We appointed for them companions1 who made attractive to them what was before them and what was behind them [of sin], and the word [i.e., decree] has come into effect upon them among nations which had passed on before them of jinn and men. Indeed, they [all] were losers.

41:26
Ayah 41:26
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَا تَسْمَعُوا۟ لِهَـٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانِ وَٱلْغَوْا۟ فِيهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَغْلِبُونَ
وَقَالَ
waqāla
And said
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
كَفَرُوا۟
kafarū
disbelieve
لَا
(Do) not
تَسْمَعُوا۟
tasmaʿū
listen
لِهَـٰذَا
lihādhā
to this
ٱلْقُرْءَانِ
l-qur'āni
Quran
وَٱلْغَوْا۟
wal-ghaw
and make noise
فِيهِ
fīhi
therein
لَعَلَّكُمْ
laʿallakum
so that you may
تَغْلِبُونَ
taghlibūna
overcome
And those who disbelieve say, "Do not listen to this Qur’ān and speak noisily1 during [the recitation of] it that perhaps you will overcome."

41:27
Ayah 41:27
فَلَنُذِيقَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَسْوَأَ ٱلَّذِى كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
فَلَنُذِيقَنَّ
falanudhīqanna
But surely We will cause to taste
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
كَفَرُوا۟
kafarū
disbelieve
عَذَابًا
ʿadhāban
a punishment
شَدِيدًا
shadīdan
severe
وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ
walanajziyannahum
and surely We will recompense them
أَسْوَأَ
aswa-a
(the) worst
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
(of) what
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they used to
يَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūna
do
But We will surely cause those who disbelieve to taste a severe punishment, and We will surely recompense them for the worst of what they had been doing.

41:28
Ayah 41:28
ذَٰلِكَ جَزَآءُ أَعْدَآءِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلنَّارُ ۖ لَهُمْ فِيهَا دَارُ ٱلْخُلْدِ ۖ جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
That
جَزَآءُ
jazāu
(is the) recompense
أَعْدَآءِ
aʿdāi
(of the) enemies
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
ٱلنَّارُ
l-nāru
the Fire
لَهُمْ
lahum
for them
فِيهَا
fīhā
therein
دَارُ
dāru
(is the) home
ٱلْخُلْدِ
l-khul'di
(of) the eternity
جَزَآءًۢ
jazāan
(as) recompense
بِمَا
bimā
for what
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they used to
بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا
biāyātinā
of Our Verses
يَجْحَدُونَ
yajḥadūna
reject
That is the recompense of the enemies of Allāh - the Fire. For them therein is the home of eternity as recompense for what they, of Our verses, were rejecting.

41:29
Ayah 41:29
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ رَبَّنَآ أَرِنَا ٱلَّذَيْنِ أَضَلَّانَا مِنَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ نَجْعَلْهُمَا تَحْتَ أَقْدَامِنَا لِيَكُونَا مِنَ ٱلْأَسْفَلِينَ
وَقَالَ
waqāla
And (will) say
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
كَفَرُوا۟
kafarū
disbelieve
رَبَّنَآ
rabbanā
Our Lord
أَرِنَا
arinā
Show us
ٱلَّذَيْنِ
alladhayni
those who
أَضَلَّانَا
aḍallānā
misled us
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلْجِنِّ
l-jini
the jinn
وَٱلْإِنسِ
wal-insi
and the men
نَجْعَلْهُمَا
najʿalhumā
(so) we may put them
تَحْتَ
taḥta
under
أَقْدَامِنَا
aqdāminā
our feet
لِيَكُونَا
liyakūnā
that they be
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلْأَسْفَلِينَ
l-asfalīna
the lowest
And those who disbelieved will [then] say, "Our Lord, show us those who misled us of the jinn and men [so] we may put them under our feet1 that they will be among the lowest."

41:30
Ayah 41:30
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوا۟ رَبُّنَا ٱللَّهُ ثُمَّ ٱسْتَقَـٰمُوا۟ تَتَنَزَّلُ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ أَلَّا تَخَافُوا۟ وَلَا تَحْزَنُوا۟ وَأَبْشِرُوا۟ بِٱلْجَنَّةِ ٱلَّتِى كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
قَالُوا۟
qālū
say
رَبُّنَا
rabbunā
Our Lord
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
(is) Allah
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
ٱسْتَقَـٰمُوا۟
is'taqāmū
stand firm
تَتَنَزَّلُ
tatanazzalu
will descend
عَلَيْهِمُ
ʿalayhimu
on them
ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ
l-malāikatu
the Angels
أَلَّا
allā
(Do) not
تَخَافُوا۟
takhāfū
fear
وَلَا
walā
and (do) not
تَحْزَنُوا۟
taḥzanū
grieve
وَأَبْشِرُوا۟
wa-abshirū
but receive the glad tidings
بِٱلْجَنَّةِ
bil-janati
of Paradise
ٱلَّتِى
allatī
which
كُنتُمْ
kuntum
you were
تُوعَدُونَ
tūʿadūna
promised
Indeed, those who have said, "Our Lord is Allāh" and then remained on a right course - the angels will descend upon them, [saying], "Do not fear and do not grieve but receive good tidings of Paradise, which you were promised.

41:31
Ayah 41:31
نَحْنُ أَوْلِيَآؤُكُمْ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَفِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۖ وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَا تَشْتَهِىٓ أَنفُسُكُمْ وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَا تَدَّعُونَ
نَحْنُ
naḥnu
We
أَوْلِيَآؤُكُمْ
awliyāukum
(are) your protectors
فِى
in
ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
l-ḥayati
the life
ٱلدُّنْيَا
l-dun'yā
(of) the world
وَفِى
wafī
and in
ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
l-ākhirati
the Hereafter
وَلَكُمْ
walakum
And for you
فِيهَا
fīhā
therein
مَا
whatever
تَشْتَهِىٓ
tashtahī
desire
أَنفُسُكُمْ
anfusukum
your souls
وَلَكُمْ
walakum
and for you
فِيهَا
fīhā
therein
مَا
what
تَدَّعُونَ
taddaʿūna
you ask
We [angels] were your allies in worldly life and [are so] in the Hereafter. And you will have therein whatever your souls desire, and you will have therein whatever you request [or wish]

41:32
Ayah 41:32
نُزُلًا مِّنْ غَفُورٍ رَّحِيمٍ
نُزُلًا
nuzulan
A hospitable gift
مِّنْ
min
from
غَفُورٍ
ghafūrin
(the) Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٍ
raḥīmin
(the) Most Merciful
As accommodation from a [Lord who is] Forgiving and Merciful."

41:33
Ayah 41:33
وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ قَوْلًا مِّمَّن دَعَآ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَعَمِلَ صَـٰلِحًا وَقَالَ إِنَّنِى مِنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ
وَمَنْ
waman
And who
أَحْسَنُ
aḥsanu
(is) better
قَوْلًا
qawlan
(in) speech
مِّمَّن
mimman
than (one) who
دَعَآ
daʿā
invites
إِلَى
ilā
to
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
وَعَمِلَ
waʿamila
and does
صَـٰلِحًا
ṣāliḥan
righteous (deeds)
وَقَالَ
waqāla
and says
إِنَّنِى
innanī
Indeed, I am
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ
l-mus'limīna
those who submit
And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allāh and does righteousness and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims."

41:34
Ayah 41:34
وَلَا تَسْتَوِى ٱلْحَسَنَةُ وَلَا ٱلسَّيِّئَةُ ۚ ٱدْفَعْ بِٱلَّتِى هِىَ أَحْسَنُ فَإِذَا ٱلَّذِى بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُۥ عَدَٰوَةٌ كَأَنَّهُۥ وَلِىٌّ حَمِيمٌ
وَلَا
walā
And not
تَسْتَوِى
tastawī
(are) equal
ٱلْحَسَنَةُ
l-ḥasanatu
the good (deed)
وَلَا
walā
and
ٱلسَّيِّئَةُ
l-sayi-atu
the evil (deed)
ٱدْفَعْ
id'faʿ
Repel
بِٱلَّتِى
bi-allatī
by (that) which
هِىَ
hiya
[it]
أَحْسَنُ
aḥsanu
(is) better
فَإِذَا
fa-idhā
then behold
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
One who
بَيْنَكَ
baynaka
between you
وَبَيْنَهُۥ
wabaynahu
and between him
عَدَٰوَةٌ
ʿadāwatun
(was) enmity
كَأَنَّهُۥ
ka-annahu
(will become) as if he
وَلِىٌّ
waliyyun
(was) a friend
حَمِيمٌ
ḥamīmun
intimate
And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel [evil] by that [deed] which is better; and thereupon, the one whom between you and him is enmity [will become] as though he was a devoted friend.

41:35
Ayah 41:35
وَمَا يُلَقَّىٰهَآ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا۟ وَمَا يُلَقَّىٰهَآ إِلَّا ذُو حَظٍّ عَظِيمٍ
وَمَا
wamā
And not
يُلَقَّىٰهَآ
yulaqqāhā
it is granted
إِلَّا
illā
except
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
(to) those who
صَبَرُوا۟
ṣabarū
(are) patient
وَمَا
wamā
and not
يُلَقَّىٰهَآ
yulaqqāhā
it is granted
إِلَّا
illā
except
ذُو
dhū
(to the) owner
حَظٍّ
ḥaẓẓin
(of) fortune
عَظِيمٍ
ʿaẓīmin
great
But none is granted it except those who are patient, and none is granted it except one having a great portion [of good].

41:36
Ayah 41:36
وَإِمَّا يَنزَغَنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ نَزْغٌ فَٱسْتَعِذْ بِٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
وَإِمَّا
wa-immā
And if
يَنزَغَنَّكَ
yanzaghannaka
whisper comes to you
مِنَ
mina
from
ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ
l-shayṭāni
the Shaitaan
نَزْغٌ
nazghun
an evil suggestion
فَٱسْتَعِذْ
fa-is'taʿidh
then seek refuge
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed, He
هُوَ
huwa
[He]
ٱلسَّمِيعُ
l-samīʿu
(is) the All-Hearer
ٱلْعَلِيمُ
l-ʿalīmu
the All-Knower
And if there comes to you from Satan an evil suggestion, then seek refuge in Allāh. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

41:37
Ayah 41:37
وَمِنْ ءَايَـٰتِهِ ٱلَّيْلُ وَٱلنَّهَارُ وَٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ ۚ لَا تَسْجُدُوا۟ لِلشَّمْسِ وَلَا لِلْقَمَرِ وَٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَهُنَّ إِن كُنتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ
وَمِنْ
wamin
And of
ءَايَـٰتِهِ
āyātihi
His Signs
ٱلَّيْلُ
al-laylu
(are) the night
وَٱلنَّهَارُ
wal-nahāru
and the day
وَٱلشَّمْسُ
wal-shamsu
and the sun
وَٱلْقَمَرُ
wal-qamaru
and the moon
لَا
(Do) not
تَسْجُدُوا۟
tasjudū
prostrate
لِلشَّمْسِ
lilshamsi
to the sun
وَلَا
walā
and not
لِلْقَمَرِ
lil'qamari
to the moon
وَٱسْجُدُوا۟
wa-us'judū
but prostrate
لِلَّهِ
lillahi
to Allah
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
the One Who
خَلَقَهُنَّ
khalaqahunna
created them
إِن
in
if
كُنتُمْ
kuntum
you
إِيَّاهُ
iyyāhu
Him alone
تَعْبُدُونَ
taʿbudūna
worship
And of His signs are the night and day and the sun and moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or to the moon, but prostrate to Allāh, who created them, if it should be Him that you worship.1

41:38
Ayah 41:38
فَإِنِ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ فَٱلَّذِينَ عِندَ رَبِّكَ يُسَبِّحُونَ لَهُۥ بِٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْـَٔمُونَ ۩
فَإِنِ
fa-ini
But if
ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟
is'takbarū
they are arrogant
فَٱلَّذِينَ
fa-alladhīna
then those who
عِندَ
ʿinda
(are) near
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
يُسَبِّحُونَ
yusabbiḥūna
glorify
لَهُۥ
lahu
Him
بِٱلَّيْلِ
bi-al-layli
by night
وَٱلنَّهَارِ
wal-nahāri
and day
وَهُمْ
wahum
And they
لَا
(do) not
يَسْـَٔمُونَ
yasamūna
tire
But if they are arrogant - then those who are near your Lord [i.e., the angels] exalt Him by night and by day, and they do not become weary.

41:39
Ayah 41:39
وَمِنْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦٓ أَنَّكَ تَرَى ٱلْأَرْضَ خَـٰشِعَةً فَإِذَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْهَا ٱلْمَآءَ ٱهْتَزَّتْ وَرَبَتْ ۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَحْيَاهَا لَمُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰٓ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
وَمِنْ
wamin
And among
ءَايَـٰتِهِۦٓ
āyātihi
His Signs
أَنَّكَ
annaka
(is) that you
تَرَى
tarā
see
ٱلْأَرْضَ
l-arḍa
the earth
خَـٰشِعَةً
khāshiʿatan
barren
فَإِذَآ
fa-idhā
but when
أَنزَلْنَا
anzalnā
We send down
عَلَيْهَا
ʿalayhā
upon it
ٱلْمَآءَ
l-māa
water
ٱهْتَزَّتْ
ih'tazzat
it is stirred (to life)
وَرَبَتْ
warabat
and grows
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِىٓ
alladhī
the One Who
أَحْيَاهَا
aḥyāhā
gives it life
لَمُحْىِ
lamuḥ'yī
(is) surely the Giver of life
ٱلْمَوْتَىٰٓ
l-mawtā
(to) the dead
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed, He
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
(is) on
كُلِّ
kulli
every
شَىْءٍ
shayin
thing
قَدِيرٌ
qadīrun
All-Powerful
And of His signs is that you see the earth stilled, but when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and grows. Indeed, He who has given it life is the Giver of Life to the dead. Indeed, He is over all things competent.

41:40
Ayah 41:40
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُلْحِدُونَ فِىٓ ءَايَـٰتِنَا لَا يَخْفَوْنَ عَلَيْنَآ ۗ أَفَمَن يُلْقَىٰ فِى ٱلنَّارِ خَيْرٌ أَم مَّن يَأْتِىٓ ءَامِنًا يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۚ ٱعْمَلُوا۟ مَا شِئْتُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
يُلْحِدُونَ
yul'ḥidūna
distort
فِىٓ
[in]
ءَايَـٰتِنَا
āyātinā
Our Verses
لَا
(are) not
يَخْفَوْنَ
yakhfawna
hidden
عَلَيْنَآ
ʿalaynā
from Us
أَفَمَن
afaman
So, is (he) who
يُلْقَىٰ
yul'qā
is cast
فِى
in
ٱلنَّارِ
l-nāri
the Fire
خَيْرٌ
khayrun
better
أَم
am
or
مَّن
man
(he) who
يَأْتِىٓ
yatī
comes
ءَامِنًا
āminan
secure
يَوْمَ
yawma
(on the) Day
ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ
l-qiyāmati
(of) Resurrection
ٱعْمَلُوا۟
iʿ'malū
Do
مَا
what
شِئْتُمْ
shi'tum
you will
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed, He
بِمَا
bimā
of what
تَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūna
you do
بَصِيرٌ
baṣīrun
(is) All-Seer
Indeed, those who inject deviation into Our verses1 are not concealed from Us. So, is he who is cast into the Fire better or he who comes secure on the Day of Resurrection? Do whatever you will; indeed, He is Seeing of what you do.

41:41
Ayah 41:41
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِٱلذِّكْرِ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ ۖ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَكِتَـٰبٌ عَزِيزٌ
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
كَفَرُوا۟
kafarū
disbelieve
بِٱلذِّكْرِ
bil-dhik'ri
in the Reminder
لَمَّا
lammā
when
جَآءَهُمْ
jāahum
it comes to them
وَإِنَّهُۥ
wa-innahu
And indeed, it
لَكِتَـٰبٌ
lakitābun
(is) surely a Book
عَزِيزٌ
ʿazīzun
mighty
Indeed, those who disbelieve in the message [i.e., the Qur’ān]1 after it has come to them...2 And indeed, it is a mighty3 Book.

41:42
Ayah 41:42
لَّا يَأْتِيهِ ٱلْبَـٰطِلُ مِنۢ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَلَا مِنْ خَلْفِهِۦ ۖ تَنزِيلٌ مِّنْ حَكِيمٍ حَمِيدٍ
لَّا
Not
يَأْتِيهِ
yatīhi
comes to it
ٱلْبَـٰطِلُ
l-bāṭilu
the falsehood
مِنۢ
min
from
بَيْنِ
bayni
before it
يَدَيْهِ
yadayhi
before it
وَلَا
walā
and not
مِنْ
min
from
خَلْفِهِۦ
khalfihi
behind it
تَنزِيلٌ
tanzīlun
A Revelation
مِّنْ
min
from
حَكِيمٍ
ḥakīmin
(the) All-Wise
حَمِيدٍ
ḥamīdin
(the) Praiseworthy
Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it; [it is] a revelation from a [Lord who is] Wise and Praiseworthy.

41:43
Ayah 41:43
مَّا يُقَالُ لَكَ إِلَّا مَا قَدْ قِيلَ لِلرُّسُلِ مِن قَبْلِكَ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو مَغْفِرَةٍ وَذُو عِقَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
مَّا
Not
يُقَالُ

لَكَ

to you
إِلَّا
illā
except
مَا
what
قَدْ
qad
was said
قِيلَ
qīla
was said
لِلرُّسُلِ
lilrrusuli
to the Messengers
مِن

before you
قَبْلِكَ

Indeed
رَبَّكَ
rabbaka
your Lord
لَذُو
ladhū
(is) Possessor
مَغْفِرَةٍ
maghfiratin
(of) forgiveness
وَذُو
wadhū
and Possessor
عِقَابٍ
ʿiqābin
(of) penalty
أَلِيمٍ
alīmin
painful
Nothing is said to you, [O Muḥammad], except what was already said to the messengers before you. Indeed, your Lord is a possessor of forgiveness and a possessor of painful penalty.

41:44
Ayah 41:44
وَلَوْ جَعَلْنَـٰهُ قُرْءَانًا أَعْجَمِيًّا لَّقَالُوا۟ لَوْلَا فُصِّلَتْ ءَايَـٰتُهُۥٓ ۖ ءَا۬عْجَمِىٌّ وَعَرَبِىٌّ ۗ قُلْ هُوَ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ هُدًى وَشِفَآءٌ ۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ فِىٓ ءَاذَانِهِمْ وَقْرٌ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِمْ عَمًى ۚ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ يُنَادَوْنَ مِن مَّكَانٍۭ بَعِيدٍ
وَلَوْ
walaw
And if
جَعَلْنَـٰهُ
jaʿalnāhu
We (had) made it
قُرْءَانًا
qur'ānan
a Quran
أَعْجَمِيًّا
aʿjamiyyan
(in) a foreign (language)
لَّقَالُوا۟
laqālū
they (would have) said
لَوْلَا
lawlā
Why not
فُصِّلَتْ
fuṣṣilat
are explained in detail
ءَايَـٰتُهُۥٓ
āyātuhu
its verses
ءَا۬عْجَمِىٌّ
āʿ'jamiyyun
(Is it) a foreign (language)
وَعَرَبِىٌّ
waʿarabiyyun
and an Arab
قُلْ
qul
Say
هُوَ
huwa
It (is)
لِلَّذِينَ
lilladhīna
for those who
ءَامَنُوا۟
āmanū
believe
هُدًى
hudan
a guidance
وَشِفَآءٌ
washifāon
and a healing
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhīna
And those who
لَا
(do) not
يُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūna
believe
فِىٓ
in
ءَاذَانِهِمْ
ādhānihim
their ears
وَقْرٌ
waqrun
(is) deafness
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and it
عَلَيْهِمْ
ʿalayhim
(is) for them
عَمًى
ʿaman
blindness
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ
ulāika
Those
يُنَادَوْنَ
yunādawna
are being called
مِن
min
from
مَّكَانٍۭ
makānin
a place
بَعِيدٍ
baʿīdin
far
And if We had made it a foreign [i.e., non-Arabic] Qur’ān, they would have said, "Why are its verses not explained in detail [in our language]? Is it a foreign [recitation] and an Arab [messenger]?" Say, "It is, for those who believe, a guidance and cure." And those who do not believe - in their ears is deafness, and it is upon them blindness. Those are being called from a distant place.1

41:45
Ayah 41:45
وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ فَٱخْتُلِفَ فِيهِ ۗ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَقُضِىَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَفِى شَكٍّ مِّنْهُ مُرِيبٍ
وَلَقَدْ
walaqad
And certainly
ءَاتَيْنَا
ātaynā
We gave
مُوسَى
mūsā
Musa
ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ
l-kitāba
the Book
فَٱخْتُلِفَ
fa-ukh'tulifa
but disputes arose
فِيهِ
fīhi
therein
وَلَوْلَا
walawlā
And had it not been
كَلِمَةٌ
kalimatun
(for) a word
سَبَقَتْ
sabaqat
(that) preceded
مِن
min
from
رَّبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
لَقُضِىَ
laquḍiya
surely, would have been settled
بَيْنَهُمْ
baynahum
between them
وَإِنَّهُمْ
wa-innahum
But indeed, they
لَفِى
lafī
surely (are) in
شَكٍّ
shakkin
doubt
مِّنْهُ
min'hu
about it
مُرِيبٍ
murībin
disquieting
And We had already given Moses the Scripture, but it came under disagreement.1 And if not for a word [i.e., decree]2 that preceded from your Lord, it would have been concluded between them. And indeed they are, concerning it [i.e., the Qur’ān], in disquieting doubt.

41:46
Ayah 41:46
مَّنْ عَمِلَ صَـٰلِحًا فَلِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ وَمَنْ أَسَآءَ فَعَلَيْهَا ۗ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِظَلَّـٰمٍ لِّلْعَبِيدِ
مَّنْ
man
Whoever
عَمِلَ
ʿamila
does
صَـٰلِحًا
ṣāliḥan
righteous deeds
فَلِنَفْسِهِۦ
falinafsihi
then it is for his soul
وَمَنْ
waman
and whoever
أَسَآءَ
asāa
does evil
فَعَلَيْهَا
faʿalayhā
then it is against it
وَمَا
wamā
And not
رَبُّكَ
rabbuka
(is) your Lord
بِظَلَّـٰمٍ
biẓallāmin
unjust
لِّلْعَبِيدِ
lil'ʿabīdi
to His slaves
Whoever does righteousness - it is for his [own] soul; and whoever does evil [does so] against it. And your Lord is not ever unjust to [His] servants.

41:47
Ayah 41:47
۞ إِلَيْهِ يُرَدُّ عِلْمُ ٱلسَّاعَةِ ۚ وَمَا تَخْرُجُ مِن ثَمَرَٰتٍ مِّنْ أَكْمَامِهَا وَمَا تَحْمِلُ مِنْ أُنثَىٰ وَلَا تَضَعُ إِلَّا بِعِلْمِهِۦ ۚ وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ أَيْنَ شُرَكَآءِى قَالُوٓا۟ ءَاذَنَّـٰكَ مَا مِنَّا مِن شَهِيدٍ
إِلَيْهِ
ilayhi
To Him
يُرَدُّ
yuraddu
is referred
عِلْمُ
ʿil'mu
(the) knowledge
ٱلسَّاعَةِ
l-sāʿati
(of) the Hour
وَمَا
wamā
And not
تَخْرُجُ
takhruju
comes out
مِن
min
any
ثَمَرَٰتٍ
thamarātin
fruits
مِّنْ
min
from
أَكْمَامِهَا
akmāmihā
their coverings
وَمَا
wamā
and not
تَحْمِلُ
taḥmilu
bears
مِنْ
min
any
أُنثَىٰ
unthā
female
وَلَا
walā
and not
تَضَعُ
taḍaʿu
gives birth
إِلَّا
illā
except
بِعِلْمِهِۦ
biʿil'mihi
with His knowledge
وَيَوْمَ
wayawma
And (the) Day
يُنَادِيهِمْ
yunādīhim
He will call them
أَيْنَ
ayna
Where (are)
شُرَكَآءِى
shurakāī
My partners
قَالُوٓا۟
qālū
They will say
ءَاذَنَّـٰكَ
ādhannāka
We announce (to) You
مَا
not
مِنَّا
minnā
among us
مِن
min
any
شَهِيدٍ
shahīdin
witness
To Him [alone] is attributed knowledge of the Hour. And fruits emerge not from their coverings nor does a female conceive or give birth except with His knowledge. And the Day He will call to them, "Where are My 'partners'?" they will say, "We announce to You that there is [no longer] among us any witness [to that]."

41:48
Ayah 41:48
وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَدْعُونَ مِن قَبْلُ ۖ وَظَنُّوا۟ مَا لَهُم مِّن مَّحِيصٍ
وَضَلَّ
waḍalla
And lost
عَنْهُم
ʿanhum
from them
مَّا
what
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they were
يَدْعُونَ
yadʿūna
invoking
مِن
min
before
قَبْلُ
qablu
before
وَظَنُّوا۟
waẓannū
and they (will) be certain
مَا
(that) not
لَهُم
lahum
for them
مِّن
min
any
مَّحِيصٍ
maḥīṣin
place of escape
And lost from them will be those they were invoking before, and they will be certain that they have no place of escape.

41:49
Ayah 41:49
لَّا يَسْـَٔمُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مِن دُعَآءِ ٱلْخَيْرِ وَإِن مَّسَّهُ ٱلشَّرُّ فَيَـُٔوسٌ قَنُوطٌ
لَّا
(Does) not
يَسْـَٔمُ
yasamu
get tired
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ
l-insānu
man
مِن
min
of
دُعَآءِ
duʿāi
praying
ٱلْخَيْرِ
l-khayri
(for) the good
وَإِن
wa-in
but if
مَّسَّهُ
massahu
touches him
ٱلشَّرُّ
l-sharu
the evil
فَيَـُٔوسٌ
fayaūsun
then he gives up hope
قَنُوطٌ
qanūṭun
(and) despairs
Man is not weary of supplication for good [things], but if evil touches him, he is hopeless and despairing.

41:50
Ayah 41:50
وَلَئِنْ أَذَقْنَـٰهُ رَحْمَةً مِّنَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ ضَرَّآءَ مَسَّتْهُ لَيَقُولَنَّ هَـٰذَا لِى وَمَآ أَظُنُّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ قَآئِمَةً وَلَئِن رُّجِعْتُ إِلَىٰ رَبِّىٓ إِنَّ لِى عِندَهُۥ لَلْحُسْنَىٰ ۚ فَلَنُنَبِّئَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِمَا عَمِلُوا۟ وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُم مِّنْ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍ
وَلَئِنْ
wala-in
And verily, if
أَذَقْنَـٰهُ
adhaqnāhu
We let him taste
رَحْمَةً
raḥmatan
mercy
مِّنَّا
minnā
from Us
مِنۢ
min
after
بَعْدِ
baʿdi
after
ضَرَّآءَ
ḍarrāa
an adversity
مَسَّتْهُ
massathu
(has) touched him
لَيَقُولَنَّ
layaqūlanna
he will surely say
هَـٰذَا
hādhā
This (is)
لِى
(due) to me
وَمَآ
wamā
and not
أَظُنُّ
aẓunnu
I think
ٱلسَّاعَةَ
l-sāʿata
the Hour
قَآئِمَةً
qāimatan
(will be) established
وَلَئِن
wala-in
and if
رُّجِعْتُ
rujiʿ'tu
I am returned
إِلَىٰ
ilā
to
رَبِّىٓ
rabbī
my Lord
إِنَّ
inna
indeed
لِى
for me
عِندَهُۥ
ʿindahu
with Him
لَلْحُسْنَىٰ
lalḥus'nā
(will be) the best
فَلَنُنَبِّئَنَّ
falanunabbi-anna
But We will surely inform
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
كَفَرُوا۟
kafarū
disbelieved
بِمَا
bimā
about what
عَمِلُوا۟
ʿamilū
they did
وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُم
walanudhīqannahum
and We will surely make them taste
مِّنْ
min
of
عَذَابٍ
ʿadhābin
a punishment
غَلِيظٍ
ghalīẓin
severe
And if We let him taste mercy from Us after an adversity which has touched him, he will surely say, "This is [due] to me,1 and I do not think the Hour will occur; and [even] if I should be returned to my Lord, indeed, for me there will be with Him the best." But We will surely inform those who disbelieved about what they did, and We will surely make them taste a massive punishment.

41:51
Ayah 41:51
وَإِذَآ أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَى ٱلْإِنسَـٰنِ أَعْرَضَ وَنَـَٔا بِجَانِبِهِۦ وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلشَّرُّ فَذُو دُعَآءٍ عَرِيضٍ
وَإِذَآ
wa-idhā
And when
أَنْعَمْنَا
anʿamnā
We bestow favor
عَلَى
ʿalā
upon
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنِ
l-insāni
man
أَعْرَضَ
aʿraḍa
he turns away
وَنَـَٔا
wanaā
and distances himself
بِجَانِبِهِۦ
bijānibihi
and distances himself
وَإِذَا
wa-idhā
but when
مَسَّهُ
massahu
touches him
ٱلشَّرُّ
l-sharu
the evil
فَذُو
fadhū
then (he is) full
دُعَآءٍ
duʿāin
(of) supplication
عَرِيضٍ
ʿarīḍin
lengthy
And when We bestow favor upon man, he turns away and distances himself; but when evil touches him, then he is full of extensive supplication.

41:52
Ayah 41:52
قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِن كَانَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ كَفَرْتُم بِهِۦ مَنْ أَضَلُّ مِمَّنْ هُوَ فِى شِقَاقٍۭ بَعِيدٍ
قُلْ
qul
Say
أَرَءَيْتُمْ
ara-aytum
You see
إِن
in
if
كَانَ
kāna
it is
مِنْ
min
from
عِندِ
ʿindi
from
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
كَفَرْتُم
kafartum
you disbelieve
بِهِۦ
bihi
in it
مَنْ
man
who
أَضَلُّ
aḍallu
(is) more astray
مِمَّنْ
mimman
than (one) who
هُوَ
huwa
he
فِى
(is) in
شِقَاقٍۭ
shiqāqin
opposition
بَعِيدٍ
baʿīdin
far
Say, "Have you considered: if it [i.e., the Qur’ān] is from Allāh and you disbelieved in it, who would be more astray than one who is in extreme dissension?"

41:53
Ayah 41:53
سَنُرِيهِمْ ءَايَـٰتِنَا فِى ٱلْـَٔافَاقِ وَفِىٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ حَتَّىٰ يَتَبَيَّنَ لَهُمْ أَنَّهُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۗ أَوَلَمْ يَكْفِ بِرَبِّكَ أَنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ شَهِيدٌ
سَنُرِيهِمْ
sanurīhim
Soon We will show them
ءَايَـٰتِنَا
āyātinā
Our Signs
فِى
in
ٱلْـَٔافَاقِ
l-āfāqi
the horizons
وَفِىٓ
wafī
and in
أَنفُسِهِمْ
anfusihim
themselves
حَتَّىٰ
ḥattā
until
يَتَبَيَّنَ
yatabayyana
becomes clear
لَهُمْ
lahum
to them
أَنَّهُ
annahu
that it
ٱلْحَقُّ
l-ḥaqu
(is) the truth
أَوَلَمْ
awalam
Is (it) not
يَكْفِ
yakfi
sufficient
بِرَبِّكَ
birabbika
concerning your Lord
أَنَّهُۥ
annahu
that He
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
(is) over
كُلِّ
kulli
all
شَىْءٍ
shayin
things
شَهِيدٌ
shahīdun
a Witness
We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth.1 But is it not sufficient concerning your Lord that He is, over all things, a Witness?2

41:54
Ayah 41:54
أَلَآ إِنَّهُمْ فِى مِرْيَةٍ مِّن لِّقَآءِ رَبِّهِمْ ۗ أَلَآ إِنَّهُۥ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ مُّحِيطٌۢ
أَلَآ
alā
Unquestionably
إِنَّهُمْ
innahum
they
فِى
(are) in
مِرْيَةٍ
mir'yatin
doubt
مِّن
min
about
لِّقَآءِ
liqāi
(the) meeting
رَبِّهِمْ
rabbihim
(with) their Lord
أَلَآ
alā
Unquestionably
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
indeed, He
بِكُلِّ
bikulli
(is) of all
شَىْءٍ
shayin
things
مُّحِيطٌۢ
muḥīṭun
encompassing
Unquestionably, they are in doubt about the meeting with their Lord. Unquestionably He is, of all things, encompassing.
