45:2
Ayah 45:2
تَنزِيلُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ
تَنزِيلُ
tanzīlu
(The) revelation
ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ
l-kitābi
(of) the Book
مِنَ
mina
(is) from
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
ٱلْعَزِيزِ
l-ʿazīzi
the All-Mighty
ٱلْحَكِيمِ
l-ḥakīmi
the All-Wise
The revelation of the Book is from Allāh, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

45:3
Ayah 45:3
إِنَّ فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
فِى
in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
wal-arḍi
and the earth
لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ
laāyātin
surely (are) Signs
لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
lil'mu'minīna
for the believers
Indeed, within the heavens and earth are signs for the believers.

45:4
Ayah 45:4
وَفِى خَلْقِكُمْ وَمَا يَبُثُّ مِن دَآبَّةٍ ءَايَـٰتٌ لِّقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ
وَفِى
wafī
And in
خَلْقِكُمْ
khalqikum
your creation
وَمَا
wamā
and what
يَبُثُّ
yabuthu
He disperses
مِن
min
of
دَآبَّةٍ
dābbatin
(the) moving creatures
ءَايَـٰتٌ
āyātun
(are) Signs
لِّقَوْمٍ
liqawmin
for a people
يُوقِنُونَ
yūqinūna
who are certain
And in the creation of yourselves and what He disperses of moving creatures are signs for people who are certain [in faith].

45:5
Ayah 45:5
وَٱخْتِلَـٰفِ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مِن رِّزْقٍ فَأَحْيَا بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَتَصْرِيفِ ٱلرِّيَـٰحِ ءَايَـٰتٌ لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ
وَٱخْتِلَـٰفِ
wa-ikh'tilāfi
And (in the) alternation
ٱلَّيْلِ
al-layli
(of) the night
وَٱلنَّهَارِ
wal-nahāri
and the day
وَمَآ
wamā
and what
أَنزَلَ
anzala
Allah sends down
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah sends down
مِنَ
mina
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
l-samāi
the sky
مِن
min
of
رِّزْقٍ
riz'qin
(the) provision
فَأَحْيَا
fa-aḥyā
and gives life
بِهِ
bihi
thereby
ٱلْأَرْضَ
l-arḍa
(to) the earth
بَعْدَ
baʿda
after
مَوْتِهَا
mawtihā
its death
وَتَصْرِيفِ
wataṣrīfi
and (in) directing
ٱلرِّيَـٰحِ
l-riyāḥi
(the) winds
ءَايَـٰتٌ
āyātun
(are) Signs
لِّقَوْمٍ
liqawmin
for a people
يَعْقِلُونَ
yaʿqilūna
who reason
And [in] the alternation of night and day and [in] what Allāh sends down from the sky of provision [i.e., rain] and gives life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and [in His] directing of the winds are signs for a people who reason.

45:6
Ayah 45:6
تِلْكَ ءَايَـٰتُ ٱللَّهِ نَتْلُوهَا عَلَيْكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖ فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ وَءَايَـٰتِهِۦ يُؤْمِنُونَ
تِلْكَ
til'ka
These
ءَايَـٰتُ
āyātu
(are the) Verses
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
نَتْلُوهَا
natlūhā
We recite them
عَلَيْكَ
ʿalayka
to you
بِٱلْحَقِّ
bil-ḥaqi
in truth
فَبِأَىِّ
fabi-ayyi
Then in what
حَدِيثٍۭ
ḥadīthin
statement
بَعْدَ
baʿda
after
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
وَءَايَـٰتِهِۦ
waāyātihi
and His Verses
يُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūna
will they believe
These are the verses of Allāh which We recite to you in truth. Then in what statement after Allāh and His verses will they believe?

45:7
Ayah 45:7
وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍ
وَيْلٌ
waylun
Woe
لِّكُلِّ
likulli
to every
أَفَّاكٍ
affākin
liar
أَثِيمٍ
athīmin
sinful
Woe to every sinful liar

45:8
Ayah 45:8
يَسْمَعُ ءَايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ يُصِرُّ مُسْتَكْبِرًا كَأَن لَّمْ يَسْمَعْهَا ۖ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
يَسْمَعُ
yasmaʿu
Who hears
ءَايَـٰتِ
āyāti
(the) Verses
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
تُتْلَىٰ
tut'lā
recited
عَلَيْهِ
ʿalayhi
to him
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
يُصِرُّ
yuṣirru
persists
مُسْتَكْبِرًا
mus'takbiran
arrogantly
كَأَن
ka-an
as if
لَّمْ
lam
not
يَسْمَعْهَا
yasmaʿhā
he heard them
فَبَشِّرْهُ
fabashir'hu
So give him tidings
بِعَذَابٍ
biʿadhābin
(of) a punishment
أَلِيمٍ
alīmin
painful
Who hears the verses of Allāh recited to him, then persists arrogantly as if he had not heard them. So give him tidings of a painful punishment.

45:9
Ayah 45:9
وَإِذَا عَلِمَ مِنْ ءَايَـٰتِنَا شَيْـًٔا ٱتَّخَذَهَا هُزُوًا ۚ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ
وَإِذَا
wa-idhā
And when
عَلِمَ
ʿalima
he knows
مِنْ
min
of
ءَايَـٰتِنَا
āyātinā
Our Verses
شَيْـًٔا
shayan
anything
ٱتَّخَذَهَا
ittakhadhahā
he takes them
هُزُوًا
huzuwan
(in) ridicule
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ
ulāika
Those
لَهُمْ
lahum
for them
عَذَابٌ
ʿadhābun
(is) a punishment
مُّهِينٌ
muhīnun
humiliating
And when he knows anything of Our verses, he takes them in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment.

45:10
Ayah 45:10
مِّن وَرَآئِهِمْ جَهَنَّمُ ۖ وَلَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُم مَّا كَسَبُوا۟ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا مَا ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَوْلِيَآءَ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
مِّن
min
Before them
وَرَآئِهِمْ
warāihim
Before them
جَهَنَّمُ
jahannamu
(is) Hell
وَلَا
walā
and not
يُغْنِى
yugh'nī
will avail
عَنْهُم
ʿanhum
them
مَّا
what
كَسَبُوا۟
kasabū
they had earned
شَيْـًٔا
shayan
anything
وَلَا
walā
and not
مَا
what
ٱتَّخَذُوا۟
ittakhadhū
they had taken
مِن
min
besides
دُونِ
dūni
besides
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
أَوْلِيَآءَ
awliyāa
(as) protectors
وَلَهُمْ
walahum
And for them
عَذَابٌ
ʿadhābun
(is) a punishment
عَظِيمٌ
ʿaẓīmun
great
Before them1 is Hell, and what they had earned will not avail them at all nor what they had taken besides Allāh as allies. And they will have a great punishment.

45:11
Ayah 45:11
هَـٰذَا هُدًى ۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مِّن رِّجْزٍ أَلِيمٌ
هَـٰذَا
hādhā
This
هُدًى
hudan
(is) guidance
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhīna
And those who
كَفَرُوا۟
kafarū
disbelieve
بِـَٔايَـٰتِ
biāyāti
in (the) Verses
رَبِّهِمْ
rabbihim
(of) their Lord
لَهُمْ
lahum
for them
عَذَابٌ
ʿadhābun
(is) a punishment
مِّن
min
of
رِّجْزٍ
rij'zin
filth
أَلِيمٌ
alīmun
painful
This [Qur’ān] is guidance. And those who have disbelieved in the verses of their Lord will have a painful punishment of foul nature.

45:12
Ayah 45:12
۞ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى سَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلْبَحْرَ لِتَجْرِىَ ٱلْفُلْكُ فِيهِ بِأَمْرِهِۦ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
(is) the One Who
سَخَّرَ
sakhara
subjected
لَكُمُ
lakumu
to you
ٱلْبَحْرَ
l-baḥra
the sea
لِتَجْرِىَ
litajriya
that may sail
ٱلْفُلْكُ
l-ful'ku
the ships
فِيهِ
fīhi
therein
بِأَمْرِهِۦ
bi-amrihi
by His Command
وَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟
walitabtaghū
and that you may seek
مِن
min
of
فَضْلِهِۦ
faḍlihi
His Bounty
وَلَعَلَّكُمْ
walaʿallakum
and that you may
تَشْكُرُونَ
tashkurūna
give thanks
It is Allāh who subjected to you the sea so that ships may sail upon it by His command and that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful.

45:13
Ayah 45:13
وَسَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا مِّنْهُ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
وَسَخَّرَ
wasakhara
And He has subjected
لَكُم
lakum
to you
مَّا
whatever
فِى
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَمَا
wamā
and whatever
فِى
(is) in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the earth
جَمِيعًا
jamīʿan
all
مِّنْهُ
min'hu
from Him
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
فِى
in
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
that
لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ
laāyātin
surely are Signs
لِّقَوْمٍ
liqawmin
for a people
يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
yatafakkarūna
who give thought
And He has subjected to you whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth - all from Him. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.

45:14
Ayah 45:14
قُل لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ يَغْفِرُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ أَيَّامَ ٱللَّهِ لِيَجْزِىَ قَوْمًۢا بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ
قُل
qul
Say
لِّلَّذِينَ
lilladhīna
to those who
ءَامَنُوا۟
āmanū
believe
يَغْفِرُوا۟
yaghfirū
(to) forgive
لِلَّذِينَ
lilladhīna
those who
لَا
(do) not
يَرْجُونَ
yarjūna
hope
أَيَّامَ
ayyāma
(for the) days
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
لِيَجْزِىَ
liyajziya
that He may recompense
قَوْمًۢا
qawman
a people
بِمَا
bimā
for what
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they used to
يَكْسِبُونَ
yaksibūna
earn
Say, [O Muḥammad], to those who have believed that they [should] forgive those who expect not the days of Allāh [i.e., of His retribution] so that He may recompense a people1 for what they used to earn.

45:15
Ayah 45:15
مَنْ عَمِلَ صَـٰلِحًا فَلِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ وَمَنْ أَسَآءَ فَعَلَيْهَا ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُونَ
مَنْ
man
Whoever
عَمِلَ
ʿamila
does
صَـٰلِحًا
ṣāliḥan
a righteous deed
فَلِنَفْسِهِۦ
falinafsihi
then it is for his soul
وَمَنْ
waman
and whoever
أَسَآءَ
asāa
does evil
فَعَلَيْهَا
faʿalayhā
then it (is) against it
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
إِلَىٰ
ilā
to
رَبِّكُمْ
rabbikum
your Lord
تُرْجَعُونَ
tur'jaʿūna
you will be returned
Whoever does a good deed - it is for himself; and whoever does evil - it is against it [i.e., the self or soul]. Then to your Lord you will be returned.

45:16
Ayah 45:16
وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ وَٱلْحُكْمَ وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ وَرَزَقْنَـٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِ وَفَضَّلْنَـٰهُمْ عَلَى ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
وَلَقَدْ
walaqad
And certainly
ءَاتَيْنَا
ātaynā
We gave
بَنِىٓ
banī
(the) Children of Israel
إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
is'rāīla
(the) Children of Israel
ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ
l-kitāba
the Book
وَٱلْحُكْمَ
wal-ḥuk'ma
and the wisdom
وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ
wal-nubuwata
and the Prophethood
وَرَزَقْنَـٰهُم
warazaqnāhum
and We provided them
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِ
l-ṭayibāti
the good things
وَفَضَّلْنَـٰهُمْ
wafaḍḍalnāhum
and We preferred them
عَلَى
ʿalā
over
ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīna
the worlds
And We did certainly give the Children of Israel the Scripture and judgement1 and prophethood, and We provided them with good things and preferred them over the worlds.

45:17
Ayah 45:17
وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُم بَيِّنَـٰتٍ مِّنَ ٱلْأَمْرِ ۖ فَمَا ٱخْتَلَفُوٓا۟ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْعِلْمُ بَغْيًۢا بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقْضِى بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا۟ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ
وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُم
waātaynāhum
And We gave them
بَيِّنَـٰتٍ
bayyinātin
clear proofs
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلْأَمْرِ
l-amri
the matter
فَمَا
famā
And not
ٱخْتَلَفُوٓا۟
ikh'talafū
they differed
إِلَّا
illā
except
مِنۢ
min
after
بَعْدِ
baʿdi
after
مَا
[what]
جَآءَهُمُ
jāahumu
came to them
ٱلْعِلْمُ
l-ʿil'mu
the knowledge
بَغْيًۢا
baghyan
(out of) envy
بَيْنَهُمْ
baynahum
between themselves
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
رَبَّكَ
rabbaka
your Lord
يَقْضِى
yaqḍī
will judge
بَيْنَهُمْ
baynahum
between them
يَوْمَ
yawma
(on the) Day
ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ
l-qiyāmati
(of) the Resurrection
فِيمَا
fīmā
about what
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they used to
فِيهِ
fīhi
therein
يَخْتَلِفُونَ
yakhtalifūna
differ
And We gave them clear proofs of the matter [of religion]. And they did not differ except after knowledge had come to them - out of jealous animosity between themselves. Indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ.

45:18
Ayah 45:18
ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَـٰكَ عَلَىٰ شَرِيعَةٍ مِّنَ ٱلْأَمْرِ فَٱتَّبِعْهَا وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
جَعَلْنَـٰكَ
jaʿalnāka
We put you
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
on
شَرِيعَةٍ
sharīʿatin
an ordained way
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلْأَمْرِ
l-amri
the matter
فَٱتَّبِعْهَا
fa-ittabiʿ'hā
so follow it
وَلَا
walā
and (do) not
تَتَّبِعْ
tattabiʿ
follow
أَهْوَآءَ
ahwāa
(the) desires
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
(of) those who
لَا
(do) not
يَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūna
know
Then We put you, [O Muḥammad], on an ordained way concerning the matter [of religion]; so follow it and do not follow the inclinations of those who do not know.

45:19
Ayah 45:19
إِنَّهُمْ لَن يُغْنُوا۟ عَنكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا ۚ وَإِنَّ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ بَعْضٍ ۖ وَٱللَّهُ وَلِىُّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ
إِنَّهُمْ
innahum
Indeed, they
لَن
lan
never
يُغْنُوا۟
yugh'nū
will avail
عَنكَ
ʿanka
you
مِنَ
mina
against
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
شَيْـًٔا
shayan
(in) anything
وَإِنَّ
wa-inna
And indeed
ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīna
the wrongdoers
بَعْضُهُمْ
baʿḍuhum
some of them
أَوْلِيَآءُ
awliyāu
(are) allies
بَعْضٍ
baʿḍin
(of) others
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
and Allah
وَلِىُّ
waliyyu
(is the) Protector
ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ
l-mutaqīna
(of) the righteous
Indeed, they will never avail you against Allāh at all. And indeed, the wrongdoers are allies of one another; but Allāh is the protector of the righteous.

45:20
Ayah 45:20
هَـٰذَا بَصَـٰٓئِرُ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ
هَـٰذَا
hādhā
This
بَصَـٰٓئِرُ
baṣāiru
(is) enlightenment
لِلنَّاسِ
lilnnāsi
for mankind
وَهُدًى
wahudan
and guidance
وَرَحْمَةٌ
waraḥmatun
and mercy
لِّقَوْمٍ
liqawmin
for a people
يُوقِنُونَ
yūqinūna
who are certain
This [Qur’ān] is enlightenment for mankind and guidance and mercy for a people who are certain [in faith].

45:21
Ayah 45:21
أَمْ حَسِبَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱجْتَرَحُوا۟ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ أَن نَّجْعَلَهُمْ كَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ سَوَآءً مَّحْيَاهُمْ وَمَمَاتُهُمْ ۚ سَآءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَ
أَمْ
am
Do
حَسِبَ
ḥasiba
think
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
ٱجْتَرَحُوا۟
ij'taraḥū
commit
ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ
l-sayiāti
evil deeds
أَن
an
that
نَّجْعَلَهُمْ
najʿalahum
We will make them
كَٱلَّذِينَ
ka-alladhīna
like those who
ءَامَنُوا۟
āmanū
believed
وَعَمِلُوا۟
waʿamilū
and did
ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ
l-ṣāliḥāti
righteous deeds
سَوَآءً
sawāan
equal
مَّحْيَاهُمْ
maḥyāhum
(in) their life
وَمَمَاتُهُمْ
wamamātuhum
and their death
سَآءَ
sāa
Evil is
مَا
what
يَحْكُمُونَ
yaḥkumūna
they judge
Or do those who commit evils think We will make them like those who have believed and done righteous deeds - [make them] equal in their life and their death?1 Evil is that which they judge [i.e., assume].

45:22
Ayah 45:22
وَخَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلِتُجْزَىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍۭ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ
وَخَلَقَ
wakhalaqa
And Allah created
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
And Allah created
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضَ
wal-arḍa
and the earth
بِٱلْحَقِّ
bil-ḥaqi
in truth
وَلِتُجْزَىٰ
walituj'zā
and that may be recompensed
كُلُّ
kullu
every
نَفْسٍۭ
nafsin
soul
بِمَا
bimā
for what
كَسَبَتْ
kasabat
it has earned
وَهُمْ
wahum
and they
لَا
will not be wronged
يُظْلَمُونَ
yuẓ'lamūna
will not be wronged
And Allāh created the heavens and earth in truth and so that every soul may be recompensed for what it has earned, and they will not be wronged.

45:23
Ayah 45:23
أَفَرَءَيْتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَـٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ وَأَضَلَّهُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ وَخَتَمَ عَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِۦ وَقَلْبِهِۦ وَجَعَلَ عَلَىٰ بَصَرِهِۦ غِشَـٰوَةً فَمَن يَهْدِيهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ
أَفَرَءَيْتَ
afara-ayta
Have you seen
مَنِ
mani
(he) who
ٱتَّخَذَ
ittakhadha
takes
إِلَـٰهَهُۥ
ilāhahu
(as) his god
هَوَىٰهُ
hawāhu
his desire
وَأَضَلَّهُ
wa-aḍallahu
and Allah lets him go astray
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
and Allah lets him go astray
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
knowingly
عِلْمٍ
ʿil'min
knowingly
وَخَتَمَ
wakhatama
and He sets a seal
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
upon
سَمْعِهِۦ
samʿihi
his hearing
وَقَلْبِهِۦ
waqalbihi
and his heart
وَجَعَلَ
wajaʿala
and puts
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
over
بَصَرِهِۦ
baṣarihi
his vision
غِشَـٰوَةً
ghishāwatan
a veil
فَمَن
faman
Then who
يَهْدِيهِ
yahdīhi
will guide him
مِنۢ
min
after
بَعْدِ
baʿdi
after
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
أَفَلَا
afalā
Then will not
تَذَكَّرُونَ
tadhakkarūna
you receive admonition
Have you seen he who has taken as his god his [own] desire, and Allāh has sent him astray due to knowledge1 and has set a seal upon his hearing and his heart and put over his vision a veil? So who will guide him after Allāh? Then will you not be reminded?

45:24
Ayah 45:24
وَقَالُوا۟ مَا هِىَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا ٱلدُّنْيَا نَمُوتُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا يُهْلِكُنَآ إِلَّا ٱلدَّهْرُ ۚ وَمَا لَهُم بِذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ ۖ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَظُنُّونَ
وَقَالُوا۟
waqālū
And they say
مَا
Not
هِىَ
hiya
it
إِلَّا
illā
(is) but
حَيَاتُنَا
ḥayātunā
our life
ٱلدُّنْيَا
l-dun'yā
(of) the world
نَمُوتُ
namūtu
we die
وَنَحْيَا
wanaḥyā
and we live
وَمَا
wamā
and not
يُهْلِكُنَآ
yuh'likunā
destroys us
إِلَّا
illā
except
ٱلدَّهْرُ
l-dahru
the time
وَمَا
wamā
And not
لَهُم
lahum
for them
بِذَٰلِكَ
bidhālika
of that
مِنْ
min
any
عِلْمٍ
ʿil'min
knowledge
إِنْ
in
not
هُمْ
hum
they
إِلَّا
illā
(do) but
يَظُنُّونَ
yaẓunnūna
guess
And they say, "There is not but our worldly life; we die and live,1 and nothing destroys us except time." And they have of that no knowledge; they are only assuming.

45:25
Ayah 45:25
وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَـٰتُنَا بَيِّنَـٰتٍ مَّا كَانَ حُجَّتَهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوا۟ ٱئْتُوا۟ بِـَٔابَآئِنَآ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ
وَإِذَا
wa-idhā
And when
تُتْلَىٰ
tut'lā
are recited
عَلَيْهِمْ
ʿalayhim
to them
ءَايَـٰتُنَا
āyātunā
Our Verses
بَيِّنَـٰتٍ
bayyinātin
clear
مَّا
not
كَانَ
kāna
is
حُجَّتَهُمْ
ḥujjatahum
their argument
إِلَّآ
illā
except
أَن
an
that
قَالُوا۟
qālū
they say
ٱئْتُوا۟
i'tū
Bring
بِـَٔابَآئِنَآ
biābāinā
our forefathers
إِن
in
if
كُنتُمْ
kuntum
you are
صَـٰدِقِينَ
ṣādiqīna
truthful
And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, their argument is only that they say, "Bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful."

45:26
Ayah 45:26
قُلِ ٱللَّهُ يُحْيِيكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يَجْمَعُكُمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
قُلِ
quli
Say
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah
يُحْيِيكُمْ
yuḥ'yīkum
gives you life
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
يُمِيتُكُمْ
yumītukum
causes you to die
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
يَجْمَعُكُمْ
yajmaʿukum
He will gather you
إِلَىٰ
ilā
to
يَوْمِ
yawmi
(the) Day
ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ
l-qiyāmati
(of) the Resurrection
لَا
no
رَيْبَ
rayba
doubt
فِيهِ
fīhi
about it
وَلَـٰكِنَّ
walākinna
But
أَكْثَرَ
akthara
most
ٱلنَّاسِ
l-nāsi
(of) the people
لَا
(do) not
يَعْلَمُونَ
yaʿlamūna
know
Say, "Allāh causes you to live, then causes you to die; then He will assemble you for the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt, but most of the people do not know."

45:27
Ayah 45:27
وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَخْسَرُ ٱلْمُبْطِلُونَ
وَلِلَّهِ
walillahi
And for Allah
مُلْكُ
mul'ku
(is the) dominion
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti
(of) the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
wal-arḍi
and the earth
وَيَوْمَ
wayawma
and (the) Day
تَقُومُ
taqūmu
is established
ٱلسَّاعَةُ
l-sāʿatu
the Hour
يَوْمَئِذٍ
yawma-idhin
that Day
يَخْسَرُ
yakhsaru
will lose
ٱلْمُبْطِلُونَ
l-mub'ṭilūna
the falsifiers
And to Allāh belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And the Day the Hour appears - that Day the falsifiers will lose.

45:28
Ayah 45:28
وَتَرَىٰ كُلَّ أُمَّةٍ جَاثِيَةً ۚ كُلُّ أُمَّةٍ تُدْعَىٰٓ إِلَىٰ كِتَـٰبِهَا ٱلْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
وَتَرَىٰ
watarā
And you will see
كُلَّ
kulla
every
أُمَّةٍ
ummatin
nation
جَاثِيَةً
jāthiyatan
kneeling
كُلُّ
kullu
Every
أُمَّةٍ
ummatin
nation
تُدْعَىٰٓ
tud'ʿā
will be called
إِلَىٰ
ilā
to
كِتَـٰبِهَا
kitābihā
its record
ٱلْيَوْمَ
l-yawma
Today
تُجْزَوْنَ
tuj'zawna
you will be recompensed
مَا
(for) what
كُنتُمْ
kuntum
you used to
تَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūna
do
And you will see every nation kneeling [from fear]. Every nation will be called to its record [and told], "Today you will be recompensed for what you used to do.

45:29
Ayah 45:29
هَـٰذَا كِتَـٰبُنَا يَنطِقُ عَلَيْكُم بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا نَسْتَنسِخُ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
هَـٰذَا
hādhā
This
كِتَـٰبُنَا
kitābunā
Our Record
يَنطِقُ
yanṭiqu
speaks
عَلَيْكُم
ʿalaykum
about you
بِٱلْحَقِّ
bil-ḥaqi
in truth
إِنَّا
innā
Indeed, We
كُنَّا
kunnā
[We] used to
نَسْتَنسِخُ
nastansikhu
transcribe
مَا
what
كُنتُمْ
kuntum
you used to
تَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūna
do
This, Our record, speaks about you in truth. Indeed, We were having transcribed1 whatever you used to do."

45:30
Ayah 45:30
فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ فَيُدْخِلُهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ فِى رَحْمَتِهِۦ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْمُبِينُ
فَأَمَّا
fa-ammā
Then as for
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
ءَامَنُوا۟
āmanū
believed
وَعَمِلُوا۟
waʿamilū
and did
ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ
l-ṣāliḥāti
[the] righteous deeds
فَيُدْخِلُهُمْ
fayud'khiluhum
will admit them
رَبُّهُمْ
rabbuhum
their Lord
فِى
in(to)
رَحْمَتِهِۦ
raḥmatihi
His mercy
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
That
هُوَ
huwa
[it]
ٱلْفَوْزُ
l-fawzu
(is) the success
ٱلْمُبِينُ
l-mubīnu
clear
So as for those who believed and did righteous deeds, their Lord will admit them into His mercy. That is what is the clear attainment.

45:31
Ayah 45:31
وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَفَلَمْ تَكُنْ ءَايَـٰتِى تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَٱسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ وَكُنتُمْ قَوْمًا مُّجْرِمِينَ
وَأَمَّا
wa-ammā
But as for
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
كَفَرُوٓا۟
kafarū
disbelieved
أَفَلَمْ
afalam
Then were not
تَكُنْ
takun
Then were not
ءَايَـٰتِى
āyātī
My Verses
تُتْلَىٰ
tut'lā
recited
عَلَيْكُمْ
ʿalaykum
to you
فَٱسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ
fa-is'takbartum
but you were proud
وَكُنتُمْ
wakuntum
and you became
قَوْمًا
qawman
a people
مُّجْرِمِينَ
muj'rimīna
criminals
But as for those who disbelieved, [it will be said], "Were not Our verses recited to you, but you were arrogant and became a criminal people?

45:32
Ayah 45:32
وَإِذَا قِيلَ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَٱلسَّاعَةُ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهَا قُلْتُم مَّا نَدْرِى مَا ٱلسَّاعَةُ إِن نَّظُنُّ إِلَّا ظَنًّا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُسْتَيْقِنِينَ
وَإِذَا
wa-idhā
And when
قِيلَ
qīla
it was said
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
وَعْدَ
waʿda
(the) Promise
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
حَقٌّ
ḥaqqun
(is) true
وَٱلسَّاعَةُ
wal-sāʿatu
and the Hour
لَا
(there is) no
رَيْبَ
rayba
doubt
فِيهَا
fīhā
about it
قُلْتُم
qul'tum
you said
مَّا
Not
نَدْرِى
nadrī
we know
مَا
what
ٱلسَّاعَةُ
l-sāʿatu
the Hour (is)
إِن
in
Not
نَّظُنُّ
naẓunnu
we think
إِلَّا
illā
except
ظَنًّا
ẓannan
an assumption
وَمَا
wamā
and not
نَحْنُ
naḥnu
we
بِمُسْتَيْقِنِينَ
bimus'tayqinīna
(are) convinced
And when it was said, 'Indeed, the promise of Allāh is truth and the Hour [is coming] - no doubt about it,' you said, 'We know not what is the Hour. We assume only assumption, and we are not convinced.'"

45:33
Ayah 45:33
وَبَدَا لَهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتُ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
وَبَدَا
wabadā
And (will) appear
لَهُمْ
lahum
to them
سَيِّـَٔاتُ
sayyiātu
(the) evil
مَا
(of) what
عَمِلُوا۟
ʿamilū
they did
وَحَاقَ
waḥāqa
and (will) envelop
بِهِم
bihim
them
مَّا
what
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they used
بِهِۦ
bihi
[at it]
يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
yastahziūna
(to) mock
And the evil consequences of what they did will appear to them, and they will be enveloped by what they used to ridicule.

45:34
Ayah 45:34
وَقِيلَ ٱلْيَوْمَ نَنسَىٰكُمْ كَمَا نَسِيتُمْ لِقَآءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَـٰذَا وَمَأْوَىٰكُمُ ٱلنَّارُ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن نَّـٰصِرِينَ
وَقِيلَ
waqīla
And it will be said
ٱلْيَوْمَ
l-yawma
Today
نَنسَىٰكُمْ
nansākum
We forget you
كَمَا
kamā
as
نَسِيتُمْ
nasītum
you forgot
لِقَآءَ
liqāa
(the) meeting
يَوْمِكُمْ
yawmikum
(of) this Day of yours
هَـٰذَا
hādhā
(of) this Day of yours
وَمَأْوَىٰكُمُ
wamawākumu
and your abode
ٱلنَّارُ
l-nāru
(is) the Fire
وَمَا
wamā
and not
لَكُم
lakum
for you
مِّن
min
any
نَّـٰصِرِينَ
nāṣirīna
helpers
And it will be said, "Today We will forget you as you forgot the meeting of this Day of yours, and your refuge is the Fire, and for you there are no helpers.

45:35
Ayah 45:35
ذَٰلِكُم بِأَنَّكُمُ ٱتَّخَذْتُمْ ءَايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ هُزُوًا وَغَرَّتْكُمُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۚ فَٱلْيَوْمَ لَا يُخْرَجُونَ مِنْهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ
ذَٰلِكُم
dhālikum
That
بِأَنَّكُمُ
bi-annakumu
(is) because you
ٱتَّخَذْتُمْ
ittakhadhtum
took
ءَايَـٰتِ
āyāti
(the) Verses
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
هُزُوًا
huzuwan
(in) ridicule
وَغَرَّتْكُمُ
wagharratkumu
and deceived you
ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ
l-ḥayatu
the life
ٱلدُّنْيَا
l-dun'yā
(of) the world
فَٱلْيَوْمَ
fal-yawma
So this Day
لَا
not
يُخْرَجُونَ
yukh'rajūna
they will be brought forth
مِنْهَا
min'hā
from it
وَلَا
walā
and not
هُمْ
hum
they
يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ
yus'taʿtabūna
will be asked to appease
That is because you took the verses of Allāh in ridicule, and worldly life deluded you." So that Day they will not be removed from it, nor will they be asked to appease [Allāh].

45:36
Ayah 45:36
فَلِلَّهِ ٱلْحَمْدُ رَبِّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَرَبِّ ٱلْأَرْضِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
فَلِلَّهِ
falillahi
Then for Allah
ٱلْحَمْدُ
l-ḥamdu
(is) all the praise
رَبِّ
rabbi
(the) Lord
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti
(of) the heavens
وَرَبِّ
warabbi
and (the) Lord
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍi
(of) the earth
رَبِّ
rabbi
(the) lord
ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīna
(of) the worlds
Then, to Allāh belongs [all] praise - Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth, Lord of the worlds.

45:37
Ayah 45:37
وَلَهُ ٱلْكِبْرِيَآءُ فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ
وَلَهُ
walahu
And for Him
ٱلْكِبْرِيَآءُ
l-kib'riyāu
(is) the greatness
فِى
in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
wal-arḍi
and the earth
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and He
ٱلْعَزِيزُ
l-ʿazīzu
(is) the All-Mighty
ٱلْحَكِيمُ
l-ḥakīmu
the All-Wise
And to Him belongs [all] grandeur within the heavens and the earth, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
