Ayah 50:1
قٓ ۚ وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ٱلْمَجِيدِ
قٓ

وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ
wal-qur'āni
By the Quran
ٱلْمَجِيدِ
l-majīdi
the Glorious
Qāf.1 By the honored Qur’ān...2

50:2
Ayah 50:2
بَلْ عَجِبُوٓا۟ أَن جَآءَهُم مُّنذِرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَقَالَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ هَـٰذَا شَىْءٌ عَجِيبٌ
بَلْ
bal
Nay
عَجِبُوٓا۟
ʿajibū
they wonder
أَن
an
that
جَآءَهُم
jāahum
has come to them
مُّنذِرٌ
mundhirun
a warner
مِّنْهُمْ
min'hum
from them
فَقَالَ
faqāla
So say
ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ
l-kāfirūna
the disbelievers
هَـٰذَا
hādhā
This
شَىْءٌ
shayon
(is) a thing
عَجِيبٌ
ʿajībun
amazing
But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing.

50:3
Ayah 50:3
أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا ۖ ذَٰلِكَ رَجْعٌۢ بَعِيدٌ
أَءِذَا
a-idhā
What! When
مِتْنَا
mit'nā
we die
وَكُنَّا
wakunnā
and have become
تُرَابًا
turāban
dust
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
That
رَجْعٌۢ
rajʿun
(is) a return
بَعِيدٌ
baʿīdun
far
When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant [i.e., unlikely] return."

50:4
Ayah 50:4
قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا تَنقُصُ ٱلْأَرْضُ مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَعِندَنَا كِتَـٰبٌ حَفِيظٌۢ
قَدْ
qad
Certainly
عَلِمْنَا
ʿalim'nā
We know
مَا
what
تَنقُصُ
tanquṣu
diminishes
ٱلْأَرْضُ
l-arḍu
the earth
مِنْهُمْ
min'hum
of them
وَعِندَنَا
waʿindanā
and with Us
كِتَـٰبٌ
kitābun
(is) a Book
حَفِيظٌۢ
ḥafīẓun
guarded
We know what the earth diminishes [i.e., consumes] of them, and with Us is a retaining record.

50:5
Ayah 50:5
بَلْ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ فَهُمْ فِىٓ أَمْرٍ مَّرِيجٍ
بَلْ
bal
Nay
كَذَّبُوا۟
kadhabū
they denied
بِٱلْحَقِّ
bil-ḥaqi
the truth
لَمَّا
lammā
when
جَآءَهُمْ
jāahum
it came (to) them
فَهُمْ
fahum
so they
فِىٓ
(are) in
أَمْرٍ
amrin
a state
مَّرِيجٍ
marījin
confused
But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition.

50:6
Ayah 50:6
أَفَلَمْ يَنظُرُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَـٰهَا وَزَيَّنَّـٰهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِن فُرُوجٍ
أَفَلَمْ
afalam
Then do not
يَنظُرُوٓا۟
yanẓurū
they look
إِلَى
ilā
at
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
l-samāi
the sky
فَوْقَهُمْ
fawqahum
above them
كَيْفَ
kayfa
how
بَنَيْنَـٰهَا
banaynāhā
We structured it
وَزَيَّنَّـٰهَا
wazayyannāhā
and adorned it
وَمَا
wamā
and not
لَهَا
lahā
for it
مِن
min
any
فُرُوجٍ
furūjin
rifts
Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts?

50:7
Ayah 50:7
وَٱلْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَـٰهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ وَأَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍۭ بَهِيجٍ
وَٱلْأَرْضَ
wal-arḍa
And the earth
مَدَدْنَـٰهَا
madadnāhā
We have spread it out
وَأَلْقَيْنَا
wa-alqaynā
and cast
فِيهَا
fīhā
therein
رَوَٰسِىَ
rawāsiya
firmly set mountains
وَأَنۢبَتْنَا
wa-anbatnā
and We made to grow
فِيهَا
fīhā
therein
مِن
min
of
كُلِّ
kulli
every
زَوْجٍۭ
zawjin
kind
بَهِيجٍ
bahījin
beautiful
And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind,

50:8
Ayah 50:8
تَبْصِرَةً وَذِكْرَىٰ لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍ مُّنِيبٍ
تَبْصِرَةً
tabṣiratan
Giving insight
وَذِكْرَىٰ
wadhik'rā
and a reminder
لِكُلِّ
likulli
for every
عَبْدٍ
ʿabdin
slave
مُّنِيبٍ
munībin
who turns
Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allāh].

50:9
Ayah 50:9
وَنَزَّلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً مُّبَـٰرَكًا فَأَنۢبَتْنَا بِهِۦ جَنَّـٰتٍ وَحَبَّ ٱلْحَصِيدِ
وَنَزَّلْنَا
wanazzalnā
And We have sent down
مِنَ
mina
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
l-samāi
the sky
مَآءً
māan
water
مُّبَـٰرَكًا
mubārakan
blessed
فَأَنۢبَتْنَا
fa-anbatnā
then We made to grow
بِهِۦ
bihi
thereby
جَنَّـٰتٍ
jannātin
gardens
وَحَبَّ
waḥabba
and grain
ٱلْحَصِيدِ
l-ḥaṣīdi
(for) the harvest
And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvest

50:10
Ayah 50:10
وَٱلنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَـٰتٍ لَّهَا طَلْعٌ نَّضِيدٌ
وَٱلنَّخْلَ
wal-nakhla
And the palms trees
بَاسِقَـٰتٍ
bāsiqātin
tall
لَّهَا
lahā
for it
طَلْعٌ
ṭalʿun
(are) layers
نَّضِيدٌ
naḍīdun
arranged
And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers -

50:11
Ayah 50:11
رِّزْقًا لِّلْعِبَادِ ۖ وَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِۦ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْخُرُوجُ
رِّزْقًا
riz'qan
A provision
لِّلْعِبَادِ
lil'ʿibādi
for the slaves
وَأَحْيَيْنَا
wa-aḥyaynā
and We give life
بِهِۦ
bihi
therewith
بَلْدَةً
baldatan
(to) a land
مَّيْتًا
maytan
dead
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhālika
Thus
ٱلْخُرُوجُ
l-khurūju
(will be) the coming forth
As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the emergence [i.e., resurrection].

50:12
Ayah 50:12
كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَأَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ
كَذَّبَتْ
kadhabat
Denied
قَبْلَهُمْ
qablahum
before them
قَوْمُ
qawmu
(the) people
نُوحٍ
nūḥin
(of) Nuh
وَأَصْحَـٰبُ
wa-aṣḥābu
and (the) companions
ٱلرَّسِّ
l-rasi
(of) Ar-Raas
وَثَمُودُ
wathamūdu
and Thamud
The people of Noah denied before them,1 and the companions of the well2 and Thamūd

50:13
Ayah 50:13
وَعَادٌ وَفِرْعَوْنُ وَإِخْوَٰنُ لُوطٍ
وَعَادٌ
waʿādun
And Aad
وَفِرْعَوْنُ
wafir'ʿawnu
and Firaun
وَإِخْوَٰنُ
wa-ikh'wānu
and (the) brothers
لُوطٍ
lūṭin
(of) Lut
And ʿAad and Pharaoh and the brothers [i.e., people] of Lot

50:14
Ayah 50:14
وَأَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْأَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ ۚ كُلٌّ كَذَّبَ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ
وَأَصْحَـٰبُ
wa-aṣḥābu
And (the) companions
ٱلْأَيْكَةِ
l-aykati
(of) the wood
وَقَوْمُ
waqawmu
and (the) people
تُبَّعٍ
tubbaʿin
(of) Tubba
كُلٌّ
kullun
All
كَذَّبَ
kadhaba
denied
ٱلرُّسُلَ
l-rusula
the Messengers
فَحَقَّ
faḥaqqa
so was fulfilled
وَعِيدِ
waʿīdi
My Threat
And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubbaʿ. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled.

50:15
Ayah 50:15
أَفَعَيِينَا بِٱلْخَلْقِ ٱلْأَوَّلِ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ فِى لَبْسٍ مِّنْ خَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ
أَفَعَيِينَا
afaʿayīnā
Were We then tired
بِٱلْخَلْقِ
bil-khalqi
with the creation
ٱلْأَوَّلِ
l-awali
the first
بَلْ
bal
Nay
هُمْ
hum
they
فِى
(are) in
لَبْسٍ
labsin
doubt
مِّنْ
min
about
خَلْقٍ
khalqin
a creation
جَدِيدٍ
jadīdin
new
Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation.

50:16
Ayah 50:16
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ وَنَعْلَمُ مَا تُوَسْوِسُ بِهِۦ نَفْسُهُۥ ۖ وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ حَبْلِ ٱلْوَرِيدِ
وَلَقَدْ
walaqad
And certainly
خَلَقْنَا
khalaqnā
We created
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ
l-insāna
man
وَنَعْلَمُ
wanaʿlamu
and We know
مَا
what
تُوَسْوِسُ
tuwaswisu
whispers
بِهِۦ
bihi
to him
نَفْسُهُۥ
nafsuhu
his soul
وَنَحْنُ
wanaḥnu
and We
أَقْرَبُ
aqrabu
(are) nearer
إِلَيْهِ
ilayhi
to him
مِنْ
min
than
حَبْلِ
ḥabli
(his) jugular vein
ٱلْوَرِيدِ
l-warīdi
(his) jugular vein
And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer1 to him than [his] jugular vein.

50:17
Ayah 50:17
إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى ٱلْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ ٱلشِّمَالِ قَعِيدٌ
إِذْ
idh
When
يَتَلَقَّى
yatalaqqā
receive
ٱلْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ
l-mutalaqiyāni
the two receivers
عَنِ
ʿani
on
ٱلْيَمِينِ
l-yamīni
the right
وَعَنِ
waʿani
and on
ٱلشِّمَالِ
l-shimāli
the left
قَعِيدٌ
qaʿīdun
seated
When the two receivers [i.e., recording angels] receive,1 seated on the right and on the left.

50:18
Ayah 50:18
مَّا يَلْفِظُ مِن قَوْلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٌ
مَّا
Not
يَلْفِظُ
yalfiẓu
he utters
مِن
min
any
قَوْلٍ
qawlin
word
إِلَّا
illā
but
لَدَيْهِ
ladayhi
with him
رَقِيبٌ
raqībun
(is) an observer
عَتِيدٌ
ʿatīdun
ready
He [i.e., man] utters no word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record].

50:19
Ayah 50:19
وَجَآءَتْ سَكْرَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖ ذَٰلِكَ مَا كُنتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيدُ
وَجَآءَتْ
wajāat
And will come
سَكْرَةُ
sakratu
(the) stupor
ٱلْمَوْتِ
l-mawti
(of) death
بِٱلْحَقِّ
bil-ḥaqi
in truth
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
That
مَا
(is) what
كُنتَ
kunta
you were
مِنْهُ
min'hu
[from it]
تَحِيدُ
taḥīdu
avoiding
And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid.

50:20
Ayah 50:20
وَنُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْوَعِيدِ
وَنُفِخَ
wanufikha
And will be blown
فِى
[in]
ٱلصُّورِ
l-ṣūri
the trumpet
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
That
يَوْمُ
yawmu
(is the) Day
ٱلْوَعِيدِ
l-waʿīdi
(of) the Warning
And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat.

50:21
Ayah 50:21
وَجَآءَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّعَهَا سَآئِقٌ وَشَهِيدٌ
وَجَآءَتْ
wajāat
And will come
كُلُّ
kullu
every
نَفْسٍ
nafsin
soul
مَّعَهَا
maʿahā
with it
سَآئِقٌ
sāiqun
a driver
وَشَهِيدٌ
washahīdun
and a witness
And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness.1

50:22
Ayah 50:22
لَّقَدْ كُنتَ فِى غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَـٰذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنكَ غِطَآءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ حَدِيدٌ
لَّقَدْ
laqad
Certainly
كُنتَ
kunta
you were
فِى
in
غَفْلَةٍ
ghaflatin
heedlessness
مِّنْ
min
of
هَـٰذَا
hādhā
this
فَكَشَفْنَا
fakashafnā
So We have removed
عَنكَ
ʿanka
from you
غِطَآءَكَ
ghiṭāaka
your cover
فَبَصَرُكَ
fabaṣaruka
so your sight
ٱلْيَوْمَ
l-yawma
today
حَدِيدٌ
ḥadīdun
(is) sharp
[It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover,1 so your sight, this Day, is sharp."

50:23
Ayah 50:23
وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ هَـٰذَا مَا لَدَىَّ عَتِيدٌ
وَقَالَ
waqāla
And (will) say
قَرِينُهُۥ
qarīnuhu
his companion
هَـٰذَا
hādhā
This
مَا
(is) what
لَدَىَّ
ladayya
(is) with me
عَتِيدٌ
ʿatīdun
ready
And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared."

50:24
Ayah 50:24
أَلْقِيَا فِى جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ
أَلْقِيَا
alqiyā
Throw
فِى
in (to)
جَهَنَّمَ
jahannama
Hell
كُلَّ
kulla
every
كَفَّارٍ
kaffārin
disbeliever
عَنِيدٍ
ʿanīdin
stubborn
[Allāh will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever,

50:25
Ayah 50:25
مَّنَّاعٍ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ مُّرِيبٍ
مَّنَّاعٍ
mannāʿin
Forbidder
لِّلْخَيْرِ
lil'khayri
of good
مُعْتَدٍ
muʿ'tadin
transgressor
مُّرِيبٍ
murībin
doubter
Preventer of good, aggressor, and doubter,

50:26
Ayah 50:26
ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَأَلْقِيَاهُ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلشَّدِيدِ
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
Who
جَعَلَ
jaʿala
made
مَعَ
maʿa
with
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
إِلَـٰهًا
ilāhan
a god
ءَاخَرَ
ākhara
another
فَأَلْقِيَاهُ
fa-alqiyāhu
so throw him
فِى
in(to)
ٱلْعَذَابِ
l-ʿadhābi
the punishment
ٱلشَّدِيدِ
l-shadīdi
the severe
Who made [as equal] with Allāh another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment."

50:27
Ayah 50:27
۞ قَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ رَبَّنَا مَآ أَطْغَيْتُهُۥ وَلَـٰكِن كَانَ فِى ضَلَـٰلٍۭ بَعِيدٍ
قَالَ
qāla
Will say
قَرِينُهُۥ
qarīnuhu
his companion
رَبَّنَا
rabbanā
Our Lord
مَآ
not
أَطْغَيْتُهُۥ
aṭghaytuhu
I made him transgress
وَلَـٰكِن
walākin
but
كَانَ
kāna
he was
فِى
in
ضَلَـٰلٍۭ
ḍalālin
error
بَعِيدٍ
baʿīdin
far
His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error."

50:28
Ayah 50:28
قَالَ لَا تَخْتَصِمُوا۟ لَدَىَّ وَقَدْ قَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْكُم بِٱلْوَعِيدِ
قَالَ
qāla
He will say
لَا
(Do) not
تَخْتَصِمُوا۟
takhtaṣimū
dispute
لَدَىَّ
ladayya
(in) My presence
وَقَدْ
waqad
and indeed
قَدَّمْتُ
qaddamtu
I sent forth
إِلَيْكُم
ilaykum
to you
بِٱلْوَعِيدِ
bil-waʿīdi
the Warning
[Allāh] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the threat [i.e., warning].

50:29
Ayah 50:29
مَا يُبَدَّلُ ٱلْقَوْلُ لَدَىَّ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِظَلَّـٰمٍ لِّلْعَبِيدِ
مَا
Not
يُبَدَّلُ
yubaddalu
will be changed
ٱلْقَوْلُ
l-qawlu
the word
لَدَىَّ
ladayya
with Me
وَمَآ
wamā
and not
أَنَا۠
anā
I Am
بِظَلَّـٰمٍ
biẓallāmin
unjust
لِّلْعَبِيدِ
lil'ʿabīdi
to My slaves
The word [i.e., decree] will not be changed with Me, and never will I be unjust to the servants."

50:30
Ayah 50:30
يَوْمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ ٱمْتَلَأْتِ وَتَقُولُ هَلْ مِن مَّزِيدٍ
يَوْمَ
yawma
(The) Day
نَقُولُ
naqūlu
We will say
لِجَهَنَّمَ
lijahannama
to Hell
هَلِ
hali
Are
ٱمْتَلَأْتِ
im'talati
you filled
وَتَقُولُ
wataqūlu
And it will say
هَلْ
hal
Are
مِن
min
(there) any
مَّزِيدٍ
mazīdin
more
On the Day We will say to Hell, "Have you been filled?" and it will say, "Are there some more,"

50:31
Ayah 50:31
وَأُزْلِفَتِ ٱلْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ
وَأُزْلِفَتِ
wa-uz'lifati
And will be brought near
ٱلْجَنَّةُ
l-janatu
the Paradise
لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
lil'muttaqīna
to the righteous
غَيْرَ
ghayra
not
بَعِيدٍ
baʿīdin
far
And Paradise will be brought near to the righteous, not far,

50:32
Ayah 50:32
هَـٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِيظٍ
هَـٰذَا
hādhā
This
مَا
(is) what
تُوعَدُونَ
tūʿadūna
you were promised
لِكُلِّ
likulli
for everyone
أَوَّابٍ
awwābin
who turns
حَفِيظٍ
ḥafīẓin
(and) who keeps
[It will be said], "This is what you were promised - for every returner [to Allāh] and keeper [of His covenant].

50:33
Ayah 50:33
مَّنْ خَشِىَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنَ بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَجَآءَ بِقَلْبٍ مُّنِيبٍ
مَّنْ
man
Who
خَشِىَ
khashiya
feared
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنَ
l-raḥmāna
the Most Gracious
بِٱلْغَيْبِ
bil-ghaybi
in the unseen
وَجَآءَ
wajāa
and came
بِقَلْبٍ
biqalbin
with a heart
مُّنِيبٍ
munībin
returning
Who feared the Most Merciful in the unseen and came with a heart returning [in repentance].

50:34
Ayah 50:34
ٱدْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَـٰمٍ ۖ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْخُلُودِ
ٱدْخُلُوهَا
ud'khulūhā
Enter it
بِسَلَـٰمٍ
bisalāmin
in peace
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
That
يَوْمُ
yawmu
(is) a Day
ٱلْخُلُودِ
l-khulūdi
(of) Eternity
Enter it in peace. This is the Day of Eternity."

50:35
Ayah 50:35
لَهُم مَّا يَشَآءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيْنَا مَزِيدٌ
لَهُم
lahum
For them
مَّا
whatever
يَشَآءُونَ
yashāūna
they wish
فِيهَا
fīhā
therein
وَلَدَيْنَا
waladaynā
and with Us
مَزِيدٌ
mazīdun
(is) more
They will have whatever they wish therein, and with Us is more.

50:36
Ayah 50:36
وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًا فَنَقَّبُوا۟ فِى ٱلْبِلَـٰدِ هَلْ مِن مَّحِيصٍ
وَكَمْ
wakam
And how many
أَهْلَكْنَا
ahlaknā
We destroyed
قَبْلَهُم
qablahum
before them
مِّن
min
of
قَرْنٍ
qarnin
a generation
هُمْ
hum
they
أَشَدُّ
ashaddu
(were) stronger
مِنْهُم
min'hum
than them
بَطْشًا
baṭshan
(in) power
فَنَقَّبُوا۟
fanaqqabū
so they explored
فِى
throughout
ٱلْبِلَـٰدِ
l-bilādi
the lands
هَلْ
hal
Is (there)
مِن
min
any
مَّحِيصٍ
maḥīṣin
place of escape
And how many a generation before them did We destroy who were greater than them in [striking] power and had explored throughout the lands. Is there any place of escape?

50:37
Ayah 50:37
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَذِكْرَىٰ لِمَن كَانَ لَهُۥ قَلْبٌ أَوْ أَلْقَى ٱلسَّمْعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
فِى
in
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
that
لَذِكْرَىٰ
ladhik'rā
surely, is a reminder
لِمَن
liman
for (one) who
كَانَ
kāna
is
لَهُۥ
lahu
for him
قَلْبٌ
qalbun
a heart
أَوْ
aw
or
أَلْقَى
alqā
(who) gives ear
ٱلسَّمْعَ
l-samʿa
(who) gives ear
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
while he
شَهِيدٌ
shahīdun
(is) a witness
Indeed in that is a reminder for whoever has a heart or who listens while he is present [in mind].

50:38
Ayah 50:38
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِن لُّغُوبٍ
وَلَقَدْ
walaqad
And certainly
خَلَقْنَا
khalaqnā
We created
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضَ
wal-arḍa
and the earth
وَمَا
wamā
and whatever
بَيْنَهُمَا
baynahumā
(is) between both of them
فِى
in
سِتَّةِ
sittati
six
أَيَّامٍ
ayyāmin
periods
وَمَا
wamā
and (did) not
مَسَّنَا
massanā
touch Us
مِن
min
any
لُّغُوبٍ
lughūbin
fatigue
And We did certainly create the heavens and earth and what is between them in six days, and there touched Us no weariness.

50:39
Ayah 50:39
فَٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ ٱلْغُرُوبِ
فَٱصْبِرْ
fa-iṣ'bir
So be patient
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
over
مَا
what
يَقُولُونَ
yaqūlūna
they say
وَسَبِّحْ
wasabbiḥ
and glorify
بِحَمْدِ
biḥamdi
(the) praise
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
(of) your Lord
قَبْلَ
qabla
before
طُلُوعِ
ṭulūʿi
(the) rising
ٱلشَّمْسِ
l-shamsi
(of) the sun
وَقَبْلَ
waqabla
and before
ٱلْغُرُوبِ
l-ghurūbi
the setting
So be patient, [O Muḥammad], over what they say and exalt [Allāh] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting,

50:40
Ayah 50:40
وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَأَدْبَـٰرَ ٱلسُّجُودِ
وَمِنَ
wamina
And of
ٱلَّيْلِ
al-layli
the night
فَسَبِّحْهُ
fasabbiḥ'hu
glorify Him
وَأَدْبَـٰرَ
wa-adbāra
and after
ٱلسُّجُودِ
l-sujūdi
the prostration
And [in part] of the night exalt Him and after prostration [i.e., prayer].

50:41
Ayah 50:41
وَٱسْتَمِعْ يَوْمَ يُنَادِ ٱلْمُنَادِ مِن مَّكَانٍ قَرِيبٍ
وَٱسْتَمِعْ
wa-is'tamiʿ
And listen
يَوْمَ
yawma
(The) Day
يُنَادِ
yunādi
will call
ٱلْمُنَادِ
l-munādi
the caller
مِن
min
from
مَّكَانٍ
makānin
a place
قَرِيبٍ
qarībin
near
And listen on the Day when the Caller1 will call out from a place that is near -

50:42
Ayah 50:42
يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ ٱلصَّيْحَةَ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْخُرُوجِ
يَوْمَ
yawma
(The) Day
يَسْمَعُونَ
yasmaʿūna
they will hear
ٱلصَّيْحَةَ
l-ṣayḥata
the Blast
بِٱلْحَقِّ
bil-ḥaqi
in truth
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
That
يَوْمُ
yawmu
(is the) Day
ٱلْخُرُوجِ
l-khurūji
(of) coming forth
The Day they will hear the blast [of the Horn] in truth. That is the Day of Emergence [from the graves].

50:43
Ayah 50:43
إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْىِۦ وَنُمِيتُ وَإِلَيْنَا ٱلْمَصِيرُ
إِنَّا
innā
Indeed, We
نَحْنُ
naḥnu
[We]
نُحْىِۦ
nuḥ'yī
[We] give life
وَنُمِيتُ
wanumītu
and [We] cause death
وَإِلَيْنَا
wa-ilaynā
and to Us
ٱلْمَصِيرُ
l-maṣīru
(is) the final return
Indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and to Us is the destination

50:44
Ayah 50:44
يَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلْأَرْضُ عَنْهُمْ سِرَاعًا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ حَشْرٌ عَلَيْنَا يَسِيرٌ
يَوْمَ
yawma
(The) Day
تَشَقَّقُ
tashaqqaqu
will split
ٱلْأَرْضُ
l-arḍu
the earth
عَنْهُمْ
ʿanhum
from them
سِرَاعًا
sirāʿan
hurrying
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
That
حَشْرٌ
ḥashrun
(is) a gathering
عَلَيْنَا
ʿalaynā
for Us
يَسِيرٌ
yasīrun
easy
On the Day the earth breaks away from them [and they emerge] rapidly; that is a gathering easy for Us.

50:45
Ayah 50:45
نَّحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ ۖ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِجَبَّارٍ ۖ فَذَكِّرْ بِٱلْقُرْءَانِ مَن يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ
نَّحْنُ
naḥnu
We
أَعْلَمُ
aʿlamu
know best
بِمَا
bimā
[of] what
يَقُولُونَ
yaqūlūna
they say
وَمَآ
wamā
and not
أَنتَ
anta
(are) you
عَلَيْهِم
ʿalayhim
over them
بِجَبَّارٍ
bijabbārin
the one to compel
فَذَكِّرْ
fadhakkir
But remind
بِٱلْقُرْءَانِ
bil-qur'āni
with the Quran
مَن
man
whoever
يَخَافُ
yakhāfu
fears
وَعِيدِ
waʿīdi
My threat
We are most knowing of what they say, and you are not over them a tyrant.1 But remind by the Qur’ān whoever fears My threat.
