51:1
Ayah 51:1
وَٱلذَّٰرِيَـٰتِ ذَرْوًا
وَٱلذَّٰرِيَـٰتِ
wal-dhāriyāti
By those scattering
ذَرْوًا
dharwan
dispersing
By the [winds] scattering [dust], dispersing [it]
— The Clear Quran, Dr. Mustafa Khattab
51:2
Ayah 51:2
فَٱلْحَـٰمِلَـٰتِ وِقْرًا
فَٱلْحَـٰمِلَـٰتِ
fal-ḥāmilāti
And those carrying
وِقْرًا
wiq'ran
a load
And the [clouds] carrying a load [of water]

51:3
Ayah 51:3
فَٱلْجَـٰرِيَـٰتِ يُسْرًا
فَٱلْجَـٰرِيَـٰتِ
fal-jāriyāti
And those sailing
يُسْرًا
yus'ran
(with) ease
And the ships sailing with ease

51:4
Ayah 51:4
فَٱلْمُقَسِّمَـٰتِ أَمْرًا
فَٱلْمُقَسِّمَـٰتِ
fal-muqasimāti
And those distributing
أَمْرًا
amran
Command
And the [angels] apportioning [each] matter,
— The Clear Quran, Dr. Mustafa Khattab
51:5
Ayah 51:5
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٌ
إِنَّمَا
innamā
Indeed, what
تُوعَدُونَ
tūʿadūna
you are promised
لَصَادِقٌ
laṣādiqun
(is) surely true
Indeed, what you are promised is true.

51:6
Ayah 51:6
وَإِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ لَوَٰقِعٌ
وَإِنَّ
wa-inna
And indeed
ٱلدِّينَ
l-dīna
the Judgment
لَوَٰقِعٌ
lawāqiʿun
(is) surely to occur
And indeed, the recompense is to occur.

51:7
Ayah 51:7
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْحُبُكِ
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ
wal-samāi
By the heaven
ذَاتِ
dhāti
full of
ٱلْحُبُكِ
l-ḥubuki
pathways
By the heaven containing pathways,1

51:8
Ayah 51:8
إِنَّكُمْ لَفِى قَوْلٍ مُّخْتَلِفٍ
إِنَّكُمْ
innakum
Indeed, you
لَفِى
lafī
(are) surely in
قَوْلٍ
qawlin
a speech
مُّخْتَلِفٍ
mukh'talifin
differing
Indeed, you are in differing speech.1

51:9
Ayah 51:9
يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ أُفِكَ
يُؤْفَكُ
yu'faku
Deluded away
عَنْهُ
ʿanhu
from it
مَنْ
man
(is he) who
أُفِكَ
ufika
is deluded
Deluded away from it [i.e., the Qur’ān] is he who is deluded.

51:10
Ayah 51:10
قُتِلَ ٱلْخَرَّٰصُونَ
قُتِلَ
qutila
Cursed be
ٱلْخَرَّٰصُونَ
l-kharāṣūna
the liars
Destroyed are the misinformers1

51:11
Ayah 51:11
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى غَمْرَةٍ سَاهُونَ
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
Those who
هُمْ
hum
[they]
فِى
(are) in
غَمْرَةٍ
ghamratin
flood
سَاهُونَ
sāhūna
(of) heedlessness
Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless.

51:12
Ayah 51:12
يَسْـَٔلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
يَسْـَٔلُونَ
yasalūna
They ask
أَيَّانَ
ayyāna
When
يَوْمُ
yawmu
(is the) Day
ٱلدِّينِ
l-dīni
(of) Judgment
They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?"

51:13
Ayah 51:13
يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ
يَوْمَ
yawma
A Day
هُمْ
hum
they
عَلَى
ʿalā
over
ٱلنَّارِ
l-nāri
the Fire
يُفْتَنُونَ
yuf'tanūna
will be tried
[It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire.

51:14
Ayah 51:14
ذُوقُوا۟ فِتْنَتَكُمْ هَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
ذُوقُوا۟
dhūqū
Taste
فِتْنَتَكُمْ
fit'natakum
your trial
هَـٰذَا
hādhā
This
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
(is) what
كُنتُم
kuntum
you were
بِهِۦ
bihi
for it
تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
tastaʿjilūna
seeking to hasten
[And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient."

51:15
Ayah 51:15
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ
l-mutaqīna
the righteous
فِى
(will be) in
جَنَّـٰتٍ
jannātin
Gardens
وَعُيُونٍ
waʿuyūnin
and springs
Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs,

51:16
Ayah 51:16
ءَاخِذِينَ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَ
ءَاخِذِينَ
ākhidhīna
Taking
مَآ
what
ءَاتَىٰهُمْ
ātāhum
their Lord has given them
رَبُّهُمْ
rabbuhum
their Lord has given them
إِنَّهُمْ
innahum
Indeed, they
كَانُوا۟
kānū
were
قَبْلَ
qabla
before
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
that
مُحْسِنِينَ
muḥ'sinīna
good-doers
Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good.

51:17
Ayah 51:17
كَانُوا۟ قَلِيلًا مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ
كَانُوا۟
kānū
They used to
قَلِيلًا
qalīlan
little
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلَّيْلِ
al-layli
the night
مَا
[what]
يَهْجَعُونَ
yahjaʿūna
sleep
They used to sleep but little of the night,1

51:18
Ayah 51:18
وَبِٱلْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ
وَبِٱلْأَسْحَارِ
wabil-asḥāri
And in the hours before dawn
هُمْ
hum
they
يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ
yastaghfirūna
would ask forgiveness
And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness,

51:19
Ayah 51:19
وَفِىٓ أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ حَقٌّ لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلْمَحْرُومِ
وَفِىٓ
wafī
And in
أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ
amwālihim
their wealth
حَقٌّ
ḥaqqun
(was the) right
لِّلسَّآئِلِ
lilssāili
(of) those who asked
وَٱلْمَحْرُومِ
wal-maḥrūmi
and the deprived
And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived.

51:20
Ayah 51:20
وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ءَايَـٰتٌ لِّلْمُوقِنِينَ
وَفِى
wafī
And in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the earth
ءَايَـٰتٌ
āyātun
(are) signs
لِّلْمُوقِنِينَ
lil'mūqinīna
for those who are certain
And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith]

51:21
Ayah 51:21
وَفِىٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ ۚ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ
وَفِىٓ
wafī
And in
أَنفُسِكُمْ
anfusikum
yourselves
أَفَلَا
afalā
Then will not
تُبْصِرُونَ
tub'ṣirūna
you see
And in yourselves. Then will you not see?

51:22
Ayah 51:22
وَفِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ
وَفِى
wafī
And in
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
l-samāi
the heaven
رِزْقُكُمْ
riz'qukum
(is) your provision
وَمَا
wamā
and what
تُوعَدُونَ
tūʿadūna
you are promised
And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised.

51:23
Ayah 51:23
فَوَرَبِّ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقٌّ مِّثْلَ مَآ أَنَّكُمْ تَنطِقُونَ
فَوَرَبِّ
fawarabbi
Then by (the) Lord
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
l-samāi
(of) the heaven
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
wal-arḍi
and the earth
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
indeed, it
لَحَقٌّ
laḥaqqun
(is) surely (the) truth
مِّثْلَ
mith'la
(just) as
مَآ
[what]
أَنَّكُمْ
annakum
you
تَنطِقُونَ
tanṭiqūna
speak
Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking.

51:24
Ayah 51:24
هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَ
هَلْ
hal
Has
أَتَىٰكَ
atāka
reached you
حَدِيثُ
ḥadīthu
(the) narration
ضَيْفِ
ḍayfi
(of the) guests
إِبْرَٰهِيمَ
ib'rāhīma
(of) Ibrahim
ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَ
l-muk'ramīna
the honored
Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham?1 -

51:25
Ayah 51:25
إِذْ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا۟ سَلَـٰمًا ۖ قَالَ سَلَـٰمٌ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ
إِذْ
idh
When
دَخَلُوا۟
dakhalū
they entered
عَلَيْهِ
ʿalayhi
upon him
فَقَالُوا۟
faqālū
and said
سَلَـٰمًا
salāman
Peace
قَالَ
qāla
He said
سَلَـٰمٌ
salāmun
Peace
قَوْمٌ
qawmun
a people
مُّنكَرُونَ
munkarūna
unknown
When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace; [you are] a people unknown."

51:26
Ayah 51:26
فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ فَجَآءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ
فَرَاغَ
farāgha
Then he went
إِلَىٰٓ
ilā
to
أَهْلِهِۦ
ahlihi
his household
فَجَآءَ
fajāa
and came
بِعِجْلٍ
biʿij'lin
with a calf
سَمِينٍ
samīnin
fat
Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf.

51:27
Ayah 51:27
فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ
فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ
faqarrabahu
And he placed it near
إِلَيْهِمْ
ilayhim
[to] them
قَالَ
qāla
he said
أَلَا
alā
Will not
تَأْكُلُونَ
takulūna
you eat
And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat?"

51:28
Ayah 51:28
فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً ۖ قَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفْ ۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَـٰمٍ عَلِيمٍ
فَأَوْجَسَ
fa-awjasa
Then he felt
مِنْهُمْ
min'hum
from them
خِيفَةً
khīfatan
a fear
قَالُوا۟
qālū
They said
لَا
(Do) not
تَخَفْ
takhaf
fear
وَبَشَّرُوهُ
wabasharūhu
and they gave him glad tidings
بِغُلَـٰمٍ
bighulāmin
of a son
عَلِيمٍ
ʿalīmin
learned
And he felt from them apprehension.1 They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy.

51:29
Ayah 51:29
فَأَقْبَلَتِ ٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ فِى صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ
فَأَقْبَلَتِ
fa-aqbalati
Then came forward
ٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ
im'ra-atuhu
his wife
فِى
with
صَرَّةٍ
ṣarratin
a loud voice
فَصَكَّتْ
faṣakkat
and struck
وَجْهَهَا
wajhahā
her face
وَقَالَتْ
waqālat
and she said
عَجُوزٌ
ʿajūzun
An old woman
عَقِيمٌ
ʿaqīmun
barren
And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman!"

51:30
Ayah 51:30
قَالُوا۟ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
قَالُوا۟
qālū
They said
كَذَٰلِكِ
kadhāliki
Thus
قَالَ
qāla
said
رَبُّكِ
rabbuki
your Lord
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed, He
هُوَ
huwa
[He]
ٱلْحَكِيمُ
l-ḥakīmu
(is) the All-Wise
ٱلْعَلِيمُ
l-ʿalīmu
the All-Knower
They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing."

51:31
Ayah 51:31
۞ قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ
قَالَ
qāla
He said
فَمَا
famā
Then what
خَطْبُكُمْ
khaṭbukum
(is) your mission
أَيُّهَا
ayyuhā
O messengers
ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ
l-mur'salūna
O messengers
[Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?"

51:32
Ayah 51:32
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّآ أُرْسِلْنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِينَ
قَالُوٓا۟
qālū
They said
إِنَّآ
innā
Indeed, we
أُرْسِلْنَآ
ur'sil'nā
[we] have been sent
إِلَىٰ
ilā
to
قَوْمٍ
qawmin
a people
مُّجْرِمِينَ
muj'rimīna
criminal
They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals1

51:33
Ayah 51:33
لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن طِينٍ
لِنُرْسِلَ
linur'sila
That we may send down
عَلَيْهِمْ
ʿalayhim
upon them
حِجَارَةً
ḥijāratan
stones
مِّن
min
of
طِينٍ
ṭīnin
clay
To send down upon them stones of clay,

51:34
Ayah 51:34
مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ
مُّسَوَّمَةً
musawwamatan
Marked
عِندَ
ʿinda
by your Lord
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
by your Lord
لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ
lil'mus'rifīna
for the transgressors
Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors."

51:35
Ayah 51:35
فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
فَأَخْرَجْنَا
fa-akhrajnā
Then We brought out
مَن
man
(those) who
كَانَ
kāna
were
فِيهَا
fīhā
therein
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīna
the believers
So We brought out whoever was in them [i.e., the cities] of the believers.

51:36
Ayah 51:36
فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِّنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ
فَمَا
famā
But not
وَجَدْنَا
wajadnā
We found
فِيهَا
fīhā
therein
غَيْرَ
ghayra
other than
بَيْتٍ
baytin
a house
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ
l-mus'limīna
the Muslims
And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims.1

51:37
Ayah 51:37
وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَةً لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ
وَتَرَكْنَا
wataraknā
And We left
فِيهَآ
fīhā
therein
ءَايَةً
āyatan
a Sign
لِّلَّذِينَ
lilladhīna
for those who
يَخَافُونَ
yakhāfūna
fear
ٱلْعَذَابَ
l-ʿadhāba
the punishment
ٱلْأَلِيمَ
l-alīma
the painful
And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment.

51:38
Ayah 51:38
وَفِى مُوسَىٰٓ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَـٰهُ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ
وَفِى
wafī
And in
مُوسَىٰٓ
mūsā
Musa
إِذْ
idh
when
أَرْسَلْنَـٰهُ
arsalnāhu
We sent him
إِلَىٰ
ilā
to
فِرْعَوْنَ
fir'ʿawna
Firaun
بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ
bisul'ṭānin
with an authority
مُّبِينٍ
mubīnin
clear
And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority.1

51:39
Ayah 51:39
فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكْنِهِۦ وَقَالَ سَـٰحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ
فَتَوَلَّىٰ
fatawallā
But he turned away
بِرُكْنِهِۦ
biruk'nihi
with his supporters
وَقَالَ
waqāla
and said
سَـٰحِرٌ
sāḥirun
A magician
أَوْ
aw
or
مَجْنُونٌ
majnūnun
a madman
But he turned away with his supporters and said, "A magician or a madman."

51:40
Ayah 51:40
فَأَخَذْنَـٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُۥ فَنَبَذْنَـٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ
فَأَخَذْنَـٰهُ
fa-akhadhnāhu
So We took him
وَجُنُودَهُۥ
wajunūdahu
and his hosts
فَنَبَذْنَـٰهُمْ
fanabadhnāhum
and threw them
فِى
into
ٱلْيَمِّ
l-yami
the sea
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
while he
مُلِيمٌ
mulīmun
(was) blameworthy
So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy.

51:41
Ayah 51:41
وَفِى عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلرِّيحَ ٱلْعَقِيمَ
وَفِى
wafī
And in
عَادٍ
ʿādin
Aad
إِذْ
idh
when
أَرْسَلْنَا
arsalnā
We sent
عَلَيْهِمُ
ʿalayhimu
against them
ٱلرِّيحَ
l-rīḥa
the wind
ٱلْعَقِيمَ
l-ʿaqīma
the barren
And in ʿAad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind.1

51:42
Ayah 51:42
مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَىْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَٱلرَّمِيمِ
مَا
Not
تَذَرُ
tadharu
it left
مِن
min
any
شَىْءٍ
shayin
thing
أَتَتْ
atat
it came
عَلَيْهِ
ʿalayhi
upon it
إِلَّا
illā
but
جَعَلَتْهُ
jaʿalathu
it made it
كَٱلرَّمِيمِ
kal-ramīmi
like disintegrated ruins
It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins.

51:43
Ayah 51:43
وَفِى ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ
وَفِى
wafī
And in
ثَمُودَ
thamūda
Thamud
إِذْ
idh
when
قِيلَ
qīla
was said
لَهُمْ
lahum
to them
تَمَتَّعُوا۟
tamattaʿū
Enjoy (yourselves)
حَتَّىٰ
ḥattā
for
حِينٍ
ḥīnin
a time
And in Thamūd, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time."

51:44
Ayah 51:44
فَعَتَوْا۟ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّـٰعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ
فَعَتَوْا۟
faʿataw
But they rebelled
عَنْ
ʿan
against
أَمْرِ
amri
(the) Command
رَبِّهِمْ
rabbihim
(of) their Lord
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ
fa-akhadhathumu
so seized them
ٱلصَّـٰعِقَةُ
l-ṣāʿiqatu
the thunderbolt
وَهُمْ
wahum
while they
يَنظُرُونَ
yanẓurūna
were looking
But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on.

51:45
Ayah 51:45
فَمَا ٱسْتَطَـٰعُوا۟ مِن قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُنتَصِرِينَ
فَمَا
famā
Then not
ٱسْتَطَـٰعُوا۟
is'taṭāʿū
they were able to
مِن
min
[of]
قِيَامٍ
qiyāmin
stand
وَمَا
wamā
and not
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they could
مُنتَصِرِينَ
muntaṣirīna
help themselves
And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves.

51:46
Ayah 51:46
وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا فَـٰسِقِينَ
وَقَوْمَ
waqawma
And (the) people
نُوحٍ
nūḥin
(of) Nuh
مِّن
min
before
قَبْلُ
qablu
before
إِنَّهُمْ
innahum
indeed, they
كَانُوا۟
kānū
were
قَوْمًا
qawman
a people
فَـٰسِقِينَ
fāsiqīna
defiantly disobedient
And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient.

51:47
Ayah 51:47
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بَنَيْنَـٰهَا بِأَيْي۟دٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ
wal-samāa
And the heaven
بَنَيْنَـٰهَا
banaynāhā
We constructed it
بِأَيْي۟دٍ
bi-aydin
with strength
وَإِنَّا
wa-innā
and indeed, We
لَمُوسِعُونَ
lamūsiʿūna
(are) surely (its) Expanders
And the heaven We constructed with strength,1 and indeed, We are [its] expander.

51:48
Ayah 51:48
وَٱلْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَـٰهَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْمَـٰهِدُونَ
وَٱلْأَرْضَ
wal-arḍa
And the earth
فَرَشْنَـٰهَا
farashnāhā
We have spread it
فَنِعْمَ
faniʿ'ma
how excellent
ٱلْمَـٰهِدُونَ
l-māhidūna
(are) the Spreaders
And the earth We have spread out, and excellent is the preparer.

51:49
Ayah 51:49
وَمِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ
وَمِن
wamin
And of
كُلِّ
kulli
every
شَىْءٍ
shayin
thing
خَلَقْنَا
khalaqnā
We have created
زَوْجَيْنِ
zawjayni
pairs
لَعَلَّكُمْ
laʿallakum
so that you may
تَذَكَّرُونَ
tadhakkarūna
remember
And of all things We created two mates [i.e., counterparts]; perhaps you will remember.

51:50
Ayah 51:50
فَفِرُّوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
فَفِرُّوٓا۟
fafirrū
So flee
إِلَى
ilā
to
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
إِنِّى
innī
indeed, I am
لَكُم
lakum
to you
مِّنْهُ
min'hu
from Him
نَذِيرٌ
nadhīrun
a warner
مُّبِينٌ
mubīnun
clear
So flee to Allāh.1 Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner.

51:51
Ayah 51:51
وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا۟ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ ۖ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
وَلَا
walā
And (do) not
تَجْعَلُوا۟
tajʿalū
make
مَعَ
maʿa
with
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
Allah
إِلَـٰهًا
ilāhan
god
ءَاخَرَ
ākhara
another
إِنِّى
innī
Indeed, I am
لَكُم
lakum
to you
مِّنْهُ
min'hu
from Him
نَذِيرٌ
nadhīrun
a warner
مُّبِينٌ
mubīnun
clear
And do not make [as equal] with Allāh another deity. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner.

51:52
Ayah 51:52
كَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَتَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا۟ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhālika
Likewise
مَآ
not
أَتَى
atā
came
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
(to) those
مِن
min
before them
قَبْلِهِم
qablihim
before them
مِّن
min
any
رَّسُولٍ
rasūlin
Messenger
إِلَّا
illā
but
قَالُوا۟
qālū
they said
سَاحِرٌ
sāḥirun
A magician
أَوْ
aw
or
مَجْنُونٌ
majnūnun
a madman
Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman."

51:53
Ayah 51:53
أَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِهِۦ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ
أَتَوَاصَوْا۟
atawāṣaw
Have they transmitted it to them
بِهِۦ
bihi
Have they transmitted it to them
بَلْ
bal
Nay
هُمْ
hum
they
قَوْمٌ
qawmun
(are) a people
طَاغُونَ
ṭāghūna
transgressing
Did they suggest it to them?1 Rather, they [themselves] are a transgressing people.

51:54
Ayah 51:54
فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِمَلُومٍ
فَتَوَلَّ
fatawalla
So turn away
عَنْهُمْ
ʿanhum
from them
فَمَآ
famā
for not
أَنتَ
anta
you
بِمَلُومٍ
bimalūmin
(are) to be blamed
So leave them, [O Muḥammad], for you are not to be blamed.

51:55
Ayah 51:55
وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
وَذَكِّرْ
wadhakkir
And remind
فَإِنَّ
fa-inna
for indeed
ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ
l-dhik'rā
the reminder
تَنفَعُ
tanfaʿu
benefits
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
l-mu'minīna
the believers
And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers.

51:56
Ayah 51:56
وَمَا خَلَقْتُ ٱلْجِنَّ وَٱلْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ
وَمَا
wamā
And not
خَلَقْتُ
khalaqtu
I have created
ٱلْجِنَّ
l-jina
the jinn
وَٱلْإِنسَ
wal-insa
and the mankind
إِلَّا
illā
except
لِيَعْبُدُونِ
liyaʿbudūni
that they worship Me
And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.

51:57
Ayah 51:57
مَآ أُرِيدُ مِنْهُم مِّن رِّزْقٍ وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَن يُطْعِمُونِ
مَآ
Not
أُرِيدُ
urīdu
I want
مِنْهُم
min'hum
from them
مِّن
min
any
رِّزْقٍ
riz'qin
provision
وَمَآ
wamā
and not
أُرِيدُ
urīdu
I want
أَن
an
that
يُطْعِمُونِ
yuṭ'ʿimūni
they (should) feed Me
I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me.

51:58
Ayah 51:58
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلرَّزَّاقُ ذُو ٱلْقُوَّةِ ٱلْمَتِينُ
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
هُوَ
huwa
He
ٱلرَّزَّاقُ
l-razāqu
(is) the All-Provider
ذُو
dhū
Possessor
ٱلْقُوَّةِ
l-quwati
(of) Power
ٱلْمَتِينُ
l-matīnu
the Strong
Indeed, it is Allāh who is the [continual] Provider,1 the firm possessor of strength.

51:59
Ayah 51:59
فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ذَنُوبًا مِّثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَـٰبِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ
فَإِنَّ
fa-inna
So indeed
لِلَّذِينَ
lilladhīna
for those who
ظَلَمُوا۟
ẓalamū
do wrong
ذَنُوبًا
dhanūban
(is) a portion
مِّثْلَ
mith'la
like
ذَنُوبِ
dhanūbi
(the) portion
أَصْحَـٰبِهِمْ
aṣḥābihim
(of) their companions
فَلَا
falā
so let them not ask Me to hasten
يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ
yastaʿjilūni
so let them not ask Me to hasten
And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their companions [i.e., predecessors], so let them not impatiently urge Me.

51:60
Ayah 51:60
فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن يَوْمِهِمُ ٱلَّذِى يُوعَدُونَ
فَوَيْلٌ
fawaylun
Then woe
لِّلَّذِينَ
lilladhīna
to those who
كَفَرُوا۟
kafarū
disbelieve
مِن
min
from
يَوْمِهِمُ
yawmihimu
their Day
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
which
يُوعَدُونَ
yūʿadūna
they are promised
And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised.
