Ayah 55:1
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ
al-raḥmānu
The Most Gracious
The Most Merciful

Ayah 55:2
عَلَّمَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ
عَلَّمَ
ʿallama
He taught
ٱلْقُرْءَانَ
l-qur'āna
the Quran
Taught the Qur’ān,

55:3
Ayah 55:3
خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
He created
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ
l-insāna
[the] man
Created man,

55:4
Ayah 55:4
عَلَّمَهُ ٱلْبَيَانَ
عَلَّمَهُ
ʿallamahu
He taught him
ٱلْبَيَانَ
l-bayāna
[the] speech
[And] taught him eloquence.

55:5
Ayah 55:5
ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ
ٱلشَّمْسُ
al-shamsu
The sun
وَٱلْقَمَرُ
wal-qamaru
and the moon
بِحُسْبَانٍ
biḥus'bānin
by (precise) calculation
The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation,

55:6
Ayah 55:6
وَٱلنَّجْمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ
وَٱلنَّجْمُ
wal-najmu
And the stars
وَٱلشَّجَرُ
wal-shajaru
and the trees
يَسْجُدَانِ
yasjudāni
both prostrate
And the stars and trees prostrate.1

55:7
Ayah 55:7
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلْمِيزَانَ
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ
wal-samāa
And the heaven
رَفَعَهَا
rafaʿahā
He raised it
وَوَضَعَ
wawaḍaʿa
and He has set up
ٱلْمِيزَانَ
l-mīzāna
the balance
And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance

55:8
Ayah 55:8
أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْمِيزَانِ
أَلَّا
allā
That not
تَطْغَوْا۟
taṭghaw
you may transgress
فِى
in
ٱلْمِيزَانِ
l-mīzāni
the balance
That you not transgress within the balance.

55:9
Ayah 55:9
وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلْوَزْنَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا۟ ٱلْمِيزَانَ
وَأَقِيمُوا۟
wa-aqīmū
And establish
ٱلْوَزْنَ
l-wazna
the weight
بِٱلْقِسْطِ
bil-qis'ṭi
in justice
وَلَا
walā
and (do) not
تُخْسِرُوا۟
tukh'sirū
make deficient
ٱلْمِيزَانَ
l-mīzāna
the balance
And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance.

55:10
Ayah 55:10
وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ
وَٱلْأَرْضَ
wal-arḍa
And the earth
وَضَعَهَا
waḍaʿahā
He laid it
لِلْأَنَامِ
lil'anāmi
for the creatures
And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures.

55:11
Ayah 55:11
فِيهَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَٱلنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ ٱلْأَكْمَامِ
فِيهَا
fīhā
Therein
فَـٰكِهَةٌ
fākihatun
(is) fruit
وَٱلنَّخْلُ
wal-nakhlu
and date-palms
ذَاتُ
dhātu
having
ٱلْأَكْمَامِ
l-akmāmi
sheaths
Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates]

55:12
Ayah 55:12
وَٱلْحَبُّ ذُو ٱلْعَصْفِ وَٱلرَّيْحَانُ
وَٱلْحَبُّ
wal-ḥabu
And the grain
ذُو
dhū
having
ٱلْعَصْفِ
l-ʿaṣfi
husk
وَٱلرَّيْحَانُ
wal-rayḥānu
and scented plants
And grain having husks and scented plants.

55:13
Ayah 55:13
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ
fabi-ayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ālāi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
rabbikumā
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukadhibāni
will you both deny
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?1

55:14
Ayah 55:14
خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِن صَلْصَـٰلٍ كَٱلْفَخَّارِ
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
He created
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ
l-insāna
the man
مِن
min
from
صَلْصَـٰلٍ
ṣalṣālin
clay
كَٱلْفَخَّارِ
kal-fakhāri
like the pottery
He created man from clay like [that of] pottery.

55:15
Ayah 55:15
وَخَلَقَ ٱلْجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ
وَخَلَقَ
wakhalaqa
And He created
ٱلْجَآنَّ
l-jāna
the jinn
مِن
min
from
مَّارِجٍ
mārijin
a smokeless flame
مِّن
min
of
نَّارٍ
nārin
fire
And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.

55:16
Ayah 55:16
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ
fabi-ayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ālāi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
rabbikumā
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukadhibāni
will you both deny
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

55:17
Ayah 55:17
رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَغْرِبَيْنِ
رَبُّ
rabbu
Lord
ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ
l-mashriqayni
(of) the two Easts
وَرَبُّ
warabbu
and Lord
ٱلْمَغْرِبَيْنِ
l-maghribayni
(of) the two Wests
[He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets.1

55:18
Ayah 55:18
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ
fabi-ayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ālāi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
rabbikumā
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukadhibāni
will you both deny
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

55:19
Ayah 55:19
مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ
مَرَجَ
maraja
He released
ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ
l-baḥrayni
the two seas
يَلْتَقِيَانِ
yaltaqiyāni
meeting
He released the two seas,1 meeting [one another];

55:20
Ayah 55:20
بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ
بَيْنَهُمَا
baynahumā
Between both of them
بَرْزَخٌ
barzakhun
(is) a barrier
لَّا
not
يَبْغِيَانِ
yabghiyāni
they transgress
Between them is a barrier so neither of them transgresses.

55:21
Ayah 55:21
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ
fabi-ayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ālāi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
rabbikumā
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukadhibāni
will you both deny
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

55:22
Ayah 55:22
يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ
يَخْرُجُ
yakhruju
Come forth
مِنْهُمَا
min'humā
from both of them
ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ
l-lu'lu-u
the pearl
وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ
wal-marjānu
and the coral
From both of them emerge pearl and coral.

55:23
Ayah 55:23
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ
fabi-ayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ālāi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
rabbikumā
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukadhibāni
will you both deny
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

55:24
Ayah 55:24
وَلَهُ ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ كَٱلْأَعْلَـٰمِ
وَلَهُ
walahu
And for Him
ٱلْجَوَارِ
l-jawāri
(are) the ships
ٱلْمُنشَـَٔاتُ
l-munshaātu
elevated
فِى
in
ٱلْبَحْرِ
l-baḥri
the sea
كَٱلْأَعْلَـٰمِ
kal-aʿlāmi
like mountains
And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains.

55:25
Ayah 55:25
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ
fabi-ayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ālāi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
rabbikumā
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukadhibāni
will you both deny
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

55:26
Ayah 55:26
كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ
كُلُّ
kullu
Everyone
مَنْ
man
who
عَلَيْهَا
ʿalayhā
(is) on it
فَانٍ
fānin
(will) perish
Everyone upon it [i.e., the earth] will perish,

55:27
Ayah 55:27
وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ
وَيَبْقَىٰ
wayabqā
But will remain
وَجْهُ
wajhu
(the) Face
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
(of) your Lord
ذُو
dhū
(the) Owner
ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ
l-jalāli
(of) Majesty
وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ
wal-ik'rāmi
and Honor
And there will remain the Face1 of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.

55:28
Ayah 55:28
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ
fabi-ayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ālāi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
rabbikumā
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukadhibāni
will you both deny
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

55:29
Ayah 55:29
يَسْـَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِى شَأْنٍ
يَسْـَٔلُهُۥ
yasaluhu
Asks Him
مَن
man
whoever
فِى
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
wal-arḍi
and the earth
كُلَّ
kulla
Every
يَوْمٍ
yawmin
day
هُوَ
huwa
He
فِى
(is) in
شَأْنٍ
shanin
a matter
Whoever is within the heavens and earth asks Him; every day He is in [i.e., bringing about] a matter.1

55:30
Ayah 55:30
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ
fabi-ayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ālāi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
rabbikumā
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukadhibāni
will you both deny
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

55:31
Ayah 55:31
سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ
سَنَفْرُغُ
sanafrughu
Soon We will attend
لَكُمْ
lakum
to you
أَيُّهَ
ayyuha
O you
ٱلثَّقَلَانِ
l-thaqalāni
two classes
We will attend to you, O prominent beings.1

55:32
Ayah 55:32
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ
fabi-ayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ālāi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
rabbikumā
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukadhibāni
will you both deny
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

55:33
Ayah 55:33
يَـٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا۟ مِنْ أَقْطَارِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنفُذُوا۟ ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ
يَـٰمَعْشَرَ
yāmaʿshara
O assembly
ٱلْجِنِّ
l-jini
(of) the jinn
وَٱلْإِنسِ
wal-insi
and the men
إِنِ
ini
If
ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ
is'taṭaʿtum
you are able
أَن
an
to
تَنفُذُوا۟
tanfudhū
pass beyond
مِنْ
min
[of]
أَقْطَارِ
aqṭāri
(the) regions
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti
(of) the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
wal-arḍi
and the earth
فَٱنفُذُوا۟
fa-unfudhū
then pass
لَا
Not
تَنفُذُونَ
tanfudhūna
you (can) pass
إِلَّا
illā
except
بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ
bisul'ṭānin
by authority
O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass. You will not pass except by authority [from Allāh].

55:34
Ayah 55:34
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ
fabi-ayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ālāi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
rabbikumā
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukadhibāni
will you both deny
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

55:35
Ayah 55:35
يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّن نَّارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ
يُرْسَلُ
yur'salu
Will be sent
عَلَيْكُمَا
ʿalaykumā
against both of you
شُوَاظٌ
shuwāẓun
a flame
مِّن
min
of
نَّارٍ
nārin
fire
وَنُحَاسٌ
wanuḥāsun
and smoke
فَلَا
falā
and not
تَنتَصِرَانِ
tantaṣirāni
you will (be able to) defend yourselves
There will be sent upon you a flame of fire and smoke,1 and you will not defend yourselves.

55:36
Ayah 55:36
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ
fabi-ayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ālāi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
rabbikumā
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukadhibāni
will you both deny
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

55:37
Ayah 55:37
فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَٱلدِّهَانِ
فَإِذَا
fa-idhā
Then when
ٱنشَقَّتِ
inshaqqati
is split
ٱلسَّمَآءُ
l-samāu
the heaven
فَكَانَتْ
fakānat
and it becomes
وَرْدَةً
wardatan
rose-colored
كَٱلدِّهَانِ
kal-dihāni
like murky oil
And when the heaven is split open and becomes rose-colored like oil1 -

55:38
Ayah 55:38
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ
fabi-ayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ālāi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
rabbikumā
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukadhibāni
will you both deny
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

55:39
Ayah 55:39
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُسْـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٌ وَلَا جَآنٌّ
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ
fayawma-idhin
Then (on) that Day
لَّا
not
يُسْـَٔلُ
yus'alu
will be asked
عَن
ʿan
about
ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ
dhanbihi
his sin
إِنسٌ
insun
any man
وَلَا
walā
and not
جَآنٌّ
jānnun
any jinn
Then on that Day none will be asked about his sin among men or jinn.1

55:40
Ayah 55:40
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ
fabi-ayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ālāi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
rabbikumā
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukadhibāni
will you both deny
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

55:41
Ayah 55:41
يُعْرَفُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَـٰهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِى وَٱلْأَقْدَامِ
يُعْرَفُ
yuʿ'rafu
Will be known
ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
l-muj'rimūna
the criminals
بِسِيمَـٰهُمْ
bisīmāhum
by their marks
فَيُؤْخَذُ
fayu'khadhu
and will be seized
بِٱلنَّوَٰصِى
bil-nawāṣī
by the forelocks
وَٱلْأَقْدَامِ
wal-aqdāmi
and the feet
The criminals will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet.

55:42
Ayah 55:42
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ
fabi-ayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ālāi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
rabbikumā
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukadhibāni
will you both deny
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

55:43
Ayah 55:43
هَـٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
هَـٰذِهِۦ
hādhihi
This
جَهَنَّمُ
jahannamu
(is) Hell
ٱلَّتِى
allatī
which
يُكَذِّبُ
yukadhibu
deny
بِهَا
bihā
[of it]
ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
l-muj'rimūna
the criminals
This is Hell, which the criminals deny.

55:44
Ayah 55:44
يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٍ
يَطُوفُونَ
yaṭūfūna
They will go around
بَيْنَهَا
baynahā
between it
وَبَيْنَ
wabayna
and between
حَمِيمٍ
ḥamīmin
scalding water
ءَانٍ
ānin
heated
They will circulate between it and scalding water, heated [to the utmost degree].

55:45
Ayah 55:45
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ
fabi-ayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ālāi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
rabbikumā
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukadhibāni
will you both deny
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

55:46
Ayah 55:46
وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ
وَلِمَنْ
waliman
But for (him) who
خَافَ
khāfa
fears
مَقَامَ
maqāma
(the) standing
رَبِّهِۦ
rabbihi
(before) his Lord
جَنَّتَانِ
jannatāni
(are) two gardens
But for he who has feared the position of his Lord1 are two gardens -

55:47
Ayah 55:47
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ
fabi-ayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ālāi
(of the) favors
رَبِّكُمَا
rabbikumā
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukadhibāni
will you both deny
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Ayah 55:48
ذَوَاتَآ أَفْنَانٍ
ذَوَاتَآ
dhawātā
Having
أَفْنَانٍ
afnānin
branches
Having [spreading] branches.

55:49
Ayah 55:49
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ
fabi-ayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ
ālāi
(of the) favors

فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ
فِيهِمَا

(are) two springs
تَجْرِيَانِ

flowing
In both of them are two springs, flowing.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

تُكَذِّبَانِ

Ayah 55:52
فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَـٰكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ
فِيهِمَا

In both of them

فَـٰكِهَةٍ
fākihatin
fruits
زَوْجَانِ
zawjāni
(in) pairs
In both of them are of every fruit, two kinds.

Ayah 55:53
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

تُكَذِّبَانِ

Ayah 55:54
مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ ۚ وَجَنَى ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ
مُتَّكِـِٔينَ
muttakiīna
Reclining
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
on
فُرُشٍۭ
furushin
couches
بَطَآئِنُهَا
baṭāinuhā
(whose) inner linings
مِنْ
min
(are) of
إِسْتَبْرَقٍ
is'tabraqin
brocade
وَجَنَى
wajanā
and (the) fruit
ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ
l-janatayni
(of) both the gardens
دَانٍ
dānin
(is) near
[They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low.

55:55
Ayah 55:55
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ
fabi-ayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ

رَبِّكُمَا
rabbikumā
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukadhibāni
will you both deny
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 55:56
فِيهِنَّ قَـٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ
فِيهِنَّ
fīhinna
In them
قَـٰصِرَٰتُ
qāṣirātu
(will be) companions of modest gaze
ٱلطَّرْفِ
l-ṭarfi
(will be) companions of modest gaze
لَمْ
lam
not
يَطْمِثْهُنَّ
yaṭmith'hunna
has touched them
إِنسٌ
insun
any man
قَبْلَهُمْ
qablahum
before them
وَلَا
walā
and not
جَآنٌّ
jānnun
any jinn
In them are women limiting [their] glances,1 untouched2 before them by man or jinnī -

55:57
Ayah 55:57
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ
fabi-ayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ

رَبِّكُمَا
rabbikumā
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukadhibāni
will you both deny
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Ayah 55:58
كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلْيَاقُوتُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ
كَأَنَّهُنَّ
ka-annahunna
As if they were
ٱلْيَاقُوتُ
l-yāqūtu
rubies
وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ
wal-marjānu
and coral
As if they were rubies and coral.1

55:59
Ayah 55:59
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ

So which
ءَالَآءِ

rabbikumā
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukadhibāni
will you both deny
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Ayah 55:60
هَلْ جَزَآءُ ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنُ
هَلْ
hal
Is
جَزَآءُ
jazāu
(the) reward
ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنِ
l-iḥ'sāni
for the good
إِلَّا
illā
but
ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنُ
l-iḥ'sānu
good
Is the reward for good [anything] but good?

55:61
Ayah 55:61
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ
fabi-ayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ

(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ

will you both deny
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ
وَمِن
wamin
Besides these two
دُونِهِمَا

Besides these two
جَنَّتَانِ

(are) two gardens
And below them both [in excellence] are two [other] gardens -

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Dark green [in color].

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

فِيهِمَا

In both of them
عَيْنَانِ

نَضَّاخَتَانِ
naḍḍākhatāni
gushing forth
In both of them are two springs, spouting.

Ayah 55:67
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ

Ayah 55:68
فِيهِمَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ
فِيهِمَا
fīhimā
In both of them
فَـٰكِهَةٌ
fākihatun
(are) fruits
وَنَخْلٌ
wanakhlun
and date-palms
وَرُمَّانٌ
warummānun
and pomegranates
In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates.

Ayah 55:69
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَٰتٌ حِسَانٌ
فِيهِنَّ

خَيْرَٰتٌ
khayrātun
(are) good

and beautiful ones
In them are good and beautiful women -

Ayah 55:71
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ

ءَالَآءِ

rabbikumā
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukadhibāni
will you both deny
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

حُورٌ مَّقْصُورَٰتٌ فِى ٱلْخِيَامِ
حُورٌ
ḥūrun
Fair ones
مَّقْصُورَٰتٌ
maqṣūrātun
restrained
فِى
in
ٱلْخِيَامِ
l-khiyāmi
the pavilions
Fair ones reserved in pavilions -

Ayah 55:73
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ
fabi-ayyi
So which
ءَالَآءِ

رَبِّكُمَا
rabbikumā
(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ
tukadhibāni
will you both deny
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Ayah 55:74
لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ
لَمْ
lam
Not
يَطْمِثْهُنَّ
yaṭmith'hunna
has touched them
إِنسٌ
insun
any man
قَبْلَهُمْ
qablahum
before them
وَلَا
walā
and not
جَآنٌّ
jānnun
any jinn
Untouched before them by man or jinnī -

55:75
Ayah 55:75
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ

ءَالَآءِ

(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِىٍّ حِسَانٍ
مُتَّكِـِٔينَ

Reclining
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
on
رَفْرَفٍ
rafrafin
cushions
خُضْرٍ
khuḍ'rin
green
وَعَبْقَرِىٍّ
waʿabqariyyin
and carpets
حِسَانٍ
ḥisānin
beautiful
Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpets.

55:77
Ayah 55:77
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
فَبِأَىِّ

(of) your Lord
تُكَذِّبَانِ

تَبَـٰرَكَ ٱسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِى ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ
تَبَـٰرَكَ

Blessed is
ٱسْمُ
us'mu
(the) name
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
(of) your Lord
ذِى
dhī
Owner
ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ
l-jalāli
(of) Majesty
وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ
wal-ik'rāmi
and Honor
Blessed is the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.
