كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوٓا۟ إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوْ ضُحَىٰهَا
كَاَنَّهُمۡ يَوۡمَ يَرَوۡنَهَا لَمۡ يَلۡبَثُوۡۤا اِلَّا عَشِيَّةً اَوۡ ضُحٰٮهَا
كَأَنَّهُمْ
كَاَنَّهُمۡ
ka-annahum
As though they
يَوْمَ
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(the) Day
يَرَوْنَهَا
يَرَوۡنَهَا
yarawnahā
they see it
يَلْبَثُوٓا۟
يَلۡبَثُوۡۤا
yalbathū
they had remained
إِلَّا
اِلَّا
illā
except
عَشِيَّةً
عَشِيَّةً
ʿashiyyatan
an evening
ضُحَىٰهَا
ضُحٰٮهَا
ḍuḥāhā
a morning thereof
It will be, on the Day they see it,1 as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof.
